• MAC Pro tower to new MAC Pro upgrade

  Currently, I have a MAC Pro Tower and will be upgraded for the new MAC Pro, probably within 6 months.

  At the present time, I have 1 HD SSD (with programs and the OS on it) and 3 hard drives regularly in-house.  One of the internal HD contains the data of my programs, while the other two are used for backups, etc.

  Here are my questions:

  I plan to go with the 256 GB SSD drive in the new MAC Pro, but my question is can I get another internal HD (SSD, or other) to store my data?

  I plan on the withdrawal of the other HD and their use for external storage, should I do access these drives with the new MAC Pro?

  I currently have 3 external HD used to store photos and movies, I'm going to him again able to use with the new MAC Pro?

  I have speakers external, purchased from the Apple Store, they will work with the new MAC Pro?

  I am a composer based in the United Kingdom and use round of mid-2010 Mac Pro 8 Core (2 x 2.4 GHz) Intel Xeon with 64 GB RAM and four SSD drives.

  I am going to Los Angeles for a project of long months of work in July and need a same computer set up to use while I'm there.  It's too expensive/complicated to ship my computer to the United States, then I'll probably rent a machine in Los Angeles.

  I found in a place that I can rent a tower 2012 Mac Pro 12-Core (2.4 GHz) with 16 GB of RAM, and I wondered: if I take my four SSD drives and my RAM modules, then I simply transplant these pieces into the 12 basic machine and start as my home machine?  Or must I buy an additional empty SSD and use the Migration Wizard to clone my main boot drive?

  I've never done this before, so I don't know if the boot drive will recognize that it is connected to a computer with a different motherboard etc.

  Trying to install OEM Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on a Mac Pro (Intel based computer) using Boot Camp (with Apple OS X 10.6). The installation went well until the system reboots to the CD with the OEM Windows 7 drive in the Bay. At that time there a MS-DOS appears on the screen that looks like this:

  I have a Mac Pro 4.1 / 2.93 GHz Quad with 24 GB of RAM: 2 x 4 and 2 x 8 GB. AHT reports a RAM error (4MEM). Core performance has the iMac coming out on top (I'm only in the retina 27 ", not the new model 5K). So who is more indicative of the performance when editing with Premiere Pro? I've heard publishers who say that their new iMacs circles run around the older towers, they replaced so I tend to believe that a new iMac feel faster than even the last money Mac Pro Tower (2012); but a beast of 12 strands with a beefy GPU has got to be a serious contender when it comes to tasks of intense multiprocessing.

  I know that it is many of the factors which together determine 'speed' (GPU, RAM, storage), so it will not always be a simple comparison of 1:1 with these models. I want to just make sure that I'm investing in material adequate and very curious about how these points of reference will result in Premiere Pro performance in the real world.

Essentially, the system must be enough cores/threads to decode/encode ideally codecs and then GHz has more effect than the hearts and son regarding GPU acceleration. • Mac Pro start problem

  Paste the HD into a Bay in your MacPro.

  Open disk utility. Partition the disk.

  Be sure to only use the card Partition GUID and MAC OS extended (journaled) format

  I've had this problem for almost a year now with my mac pro, mid 2013 A1289 and could not find a solution to this day. It randomly and spontaneously turns itself off. The boss is very random. I can turn it back on after a few seconds, but he always die on me shortly after.
