Can I change my gtx 550ti graphics card? !!

I have the GT 420 (OEM) motherboard: MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E), power supply: 460W and I want to update to GTX550 it, I can (without changing any other material)? _ MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E), i5 650 3.2 Ghz 10 Gb DDR3, GT420 (OEM), 460W

The original power supply does not have a PCI Express power connector. There is an upgrade of the power supply. Without the PCI Express power connector connected to the video card, your votre PC PC does not start in Windows.

So my question is: can I put a new processor and video card

In my acer aspire witouth problems?

Doesn't look like as you can change the processor. Limits to the motherboard. But there is no onboard video. If you get a low profile graphics card and added it to the computer, it could work. But because the computer is an older computer, you will not be able to put in the last and best. I would like to talk to a local technician to see what is available in your area for this computer.

There is no graphics "card" in your notebook.

The GPU is soldered to the motherboard.

Replacing the motherboard by a likely to have better graphics not only would be very labor intensive, it cost more to buy an equivalent model with better graphics.

    Hi samuniv,

As you can read in 100 other threads, it of not possible to replace the graphics card because it s fixed/soldered to the motherboard. Therefore, an Exchange is not possible.
You should also check out this interesting article:

According to the specifications of your laptop is equipped with an Intel GMA 4500 graphics card. The card is good for the office and Windows but it s not a graphics card for new 3D games. You can play older games on the low resolution of the screen, but newer games will not run.

  • Can I change CPU, RAM AND graphics in HP Commpac D220?

Hello! Thanks to the time to read this topic, I have a question on my hp compac D220 pc so I hope you will tell me the answer!
IM runing windows 7 now and try to install windows 8.1 but IE NX unsupported. So I decided to change my processor and the extra ram of 1 GB ad, and the new graphics card but I don't know that the graphics card & CPU (last) support my pc.
Here is my pc in detail.
1.80 ghz, 180 GB HARD drive and 1 GB of ram, motherboard AMIBOIS, Windows 7 running. So suggest
me that I buy a new pc or
change cpu, ram and graphics card.

As it is an OEM machine, you will not be able to replace the CPU this processor is specifically compatible with OEM motherboard. If you are looking to change the CPU, RAM and GPU, you really can both do you a favor and buy a new machine all together, or build your own.

  • P6769 UK: card Geforce GTX 970 of GTX 550ti graphics upgrade

My husband bought a HP PC, because I work for HP.  The Geforce GTX550ti card worked perfectly on the P6769 UK PC running Windows 7; He bought the new card GTX 970 but couldn't make it work with Windows 7, so decided to put the old card back in and install Windows 10 to see if that would solve the problem, which was not. The old card works well running Windows 10 but not the GTX970. Despite extensive research and talk to the 'experts' that he has not yet found a solution - he has a terminal illness, so I would really appreciate help from someone in the forum to help him to enjoy what should be the great graphics for the short time he has left. Please respond to this message and personal email address [personal information deleted] If you can help.

The NVIDIA GTX 970 will not work on your PC. Video in graphics card BIOS and the BIOS is your PC are not compatible.

I suggest that you are looking for an old graphics like the NVIDIA GTX 660. I've used both the TI 550 and 660 and the 660 is a far superior graphics card.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

  • I can't find a compatible Nvidia graphics card and monitor system of the body/Neo3D 3D

Adobe first Pro CS5.5 / specification tecniques ( lists the graphics cards that can be used to accelerate video editing.  I want to set up a system similar to what Dave Helmly is described ( with a computer 3D monitor and 3D TV secondary screen.  However, the 3D monitors that I saw as an Asus ( indicate graphics cards Nvidia that no overlap with those specified on the website of the organization.  Also, I found no towers locally that come with an appropriate Nvidia card.  I found some that have a free PCIe slot.  I need two cards in any case; However, the graphics card that comes with some of these machines specifies a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600.

    Here are my questions:
    (1) what Nvidia graphics cards are both supported by the Organization and support of 3D monitors?  I'm looking on the bad feedback?  The Alienware site does not specify which graphics cards are compatible.
    (2) if the integrated video card has a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600, does mean that if I want resolution 1920 x 1080 for each of the two eyes I need format (output HDMI to 3D TV) alternate-frame sequencing?

I have not bought equipment yet, I am looking for options that work.  Thanks for your help.

Hi Dennis, you need one of the Quadro graphics cards to do what you want (use the Nvidia 3D output). GTX cards will be released to a secondary 3D display, but only side by side and more to the title. I have a GTX 480 which I use with the body and Neo, main monitor is 2560 x 1600 (non - 3D), my secondary monitor is a Sony 32 "3D TV on which I discovered 3D since the timeline and FirstLight mode side by side. To be honest, I change and cut in 2d mode and really only use the monitor 3d for the color calibration (which is different for 3D 2D because of the need to reduce areas of contrast high which cause ghost images) and for the z depth of positioning for the composition and titles.

  • Tecra R850 - How can I reduce the memory shared graphics card?

    Hi all

I need help with a few questions:
My system says I have 2, 66 GB RAM available for applications, services, etc. The rest (between 1.1 and 1.3 GB of RAM) is shared and reserved for the graphics card. I looked for a way to reduce it through the BIOS (how it works normally), tried an update for the bios jumps that he would add this feature. But it wasn't the case.

I don't understand why Toshiba won't allow its customers to modifity this setting!
I can understand putting such a context by default, but also giving an option for advanced users to change this setting.

2, 66 GB RAM are not very good and I often need more than that... 500 MB more of RAM for sys would be really nice.
And 64 bit OSs don't are currently not supported in our society.

Does anyone know if a way to reduce the memory shared to 500 MB for example?

    My system features:

    Windows 7 Pro SP1 (32-bit)
    Model: TECRA R850
    SERIALNO. : 7B042670H
    PartNo. : PT525E-03E00KGR

Thank you in advanced for your answers!

As far as I know shared memory works automatically and laptop user cannot control it.
There is nothing new and the same principle is on all Toshiba laptops.

Sorry but there is nothing to do about it.

  • Tecra M2: Can play a game of the graphics card?

It seems that play Flight Simulator could destroy the graphics card on the laptop! I never thought this would be possible. I gave a friend my old Tecra M2 (as a wedding gift) which he also uses to play FS9. A few years ago, he had to have the motherboard replaced (Fortunately it's still under warranty then) because it has become defective. This has happened while he was playing FS9. I never thought that at that time.

It seems like the same problem comes up again, but this time the laptop isn't under warranty anymore. Nothing has been changed on the video card to "accelerate" or "chip" or another - it is standard at the factory. The latest drivers are installed for the Nvidia GeForce FX Go5200 32 M / 64 M and the portable computer has 1 GB of RAM (and a lot of space on the HARD disk).

At startup, the Toshiba logo has green vertical lines. The Windows logo also has the same symptoms, the vertical lines. I was able to boot in safe mode, a few times, then it started normally (I was onto a winner of thought), but now it seems just blue screen and reboot after Windows Logo (even if I didn't no reset in case of failure). After the reboot, I got a blue screen (BSOD not usual) with the next STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0 x 01010101, 0xF7911378, 0xF7911074).

Any ideas? I'd be really upset if I found out that a game could physically cause a motherboard to replace on a laptop! If this is true, can someone tell me how to prevent it in the future? I have a Tecra M3 and I don't want to happen to me either!

    Thank you!

    Hi mate,

the fact is that I would NEVER play FS9 even on my machine which is a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz with 1 GB of RAM and a geforce 7800GS.
Flight Simulator 9 needs AS many system resources and in your case it s like you take 500 tons of steel and throw on a single donkey.

The M2 is a pure business machine and not scheduled to play these games like FS9 needing beasts of machines to run * correctly *. Maybe the older games are playable, but I think that it s right that FS9 could probably damaged your graphics unit (overheating).
You won´t move swap the motherboard and let your FS9 fingers when you hold an M2 or M3 or a set of non-game in your hands.

The man, who is ill, the poor M2 then FS9... :D

Clear from the statement to me: Yes, a game CAN probably damage a portable system, but not for sure! And an M2/M3 is not to play these games. Rather spent the money for a system with a Geforce 8600 Core2Dou or something similar.

    Welcome them

  • HP2310i: New (ASUS GEForce GTX 750Ti) graphics card does not not on HP 2310i

    Hi all

Help, please! I can't get my new graphix card to work with my HP 2310i :-(

    Basic unit of HP: Pavilion

    Model: p6320uk i5 CPU 3 .2GHz

    RAM: 6 GB

    Screen: HP 2310i

    Windows: 7 (64-bit)

    Card: ASUS GEForce GTX 750Ti

I swapped the old card and put in the new (I know what I'm doing with this as much before). Connect the plug of the correct video adapter for the graphics card is: DVD-D/VGA. Everything turns on and all I get is...

I can't add the new GEForce drivers from the disk because it needs the map in situ.

What Miss me? What can I do? I am doing something stupid?

    Help! :-D

    Thanks Jowler

    Jowler, welcome to the forum.

You have shown two different models in your thread.  I used the p6329uk.  The reason that the video card does not work is that it requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released on January 15, 2010.  Therefore, the GTX 750ti will not work.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was 640 gt.

  • How do I change or update the graphics card on a HP ENVY 17 - j020us Quad Edition Notebook PC

I want to know if I can add another video card or if I can swap the video card to intel-4400 HP provided with this computer. I tried to look on the sites of HP and may not know if the graphics card is integrated or if she is separated.

The 'Intel HD graphics 4400' is soldered to the motherboard (or integrated) and you can not change or Exchange. You have to live with it and save the money to buy another machine.

    Kind regards.

  • will be the Z210 Workstation supports a 470 gtx NVIDEA graphics card?

I just got an Z210 workstation, it came with two Quadro NVS295 graphics card but I need to replace a similar to the Quadro 4000 (way to budget for me). A similar card is geforce GTX 470 1 GB or the 460 2 GB. My question is ¿will the z210 accept one of them? I change the PSU?

    Z210 XM856AV workstation

    Windows 7 prof 64 bit

Finally, I tried an ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX Ti 550 and it worked pretty well in my computer. While a 3D 30 sec clip I created wirh After Effects CS6 took one hour and 20 minutes to display with the Quadro NVS295, it took only 9 minutes with the Asus card. I'll try the EVGA version og gtx 550 because I was told is a little faster. Playback of clips with Ater effects performance wasn't as spectacularly faster.

    Thank you.

I went to very difficult to leave my boyfriend to buy this pc.  First of all, that we now live in different countries.  I live in the United States and he lives in England.  We met on a PS3 game online called DUST 514 and played a lot of pc games together as well.  It is difficult to have to steal it back, but we're getting married soon and I'll come to England.  He needs a new PC for years and was jealous of my Alienware Aurora R4. So I decided to buy one that is still better than mine since it's even greater player I am . This will also allow us to play more games together .

Then I he wired the money and thought that everything would be ok, but you wouldn't believe the amount of screw - rises, that Dell threw on him!  They had even cancel a bunch of commands of the peoples, b/c, trying to control his spec-ed on Alienware has revealed a major screw-up affecting many clients... (Sorry, it made me delete/modify-this until his order passes through.  Dell representatives were concerned about what happened past.  I don't know if they told people that they had to cancel the real reason why orders and the possible impact on customers with currently Alienware Aurora...  I'll tell you what they have done after that his order is finally through.  Just a hint... inside your Alienware Aurora, check if you own to make sure that everything you ordered is actually there...)  He tried to do this for a week now...  I thought Dell was a little better than that... I knew they had bad grades, but really?...  In any case, it is a complete system stressed mess of it all back and on phone calls and e-mails with different people of Dell.  So I thought that, if it still manages to get the Alienware, maybe I can do even better!

He really should have an SSD, so I'll get a. He was talking and drool on the maps of Titan, so I'll give him two EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Superclocked 6 GB GDDR5 2DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI - Express cards in SLI config! :

I've never built a pc or tinkered with all hardware.  I want to make this even more impressive pc by adding an SSD.  I think I can install an SSD without any problem (I want the Samsung 849 EVO Mz-7TE1T0BW 2.5 "1 TB SSD)... Oops... I just thought of something... 4 TB SATA is actually 4 2 TB SATAs, put in place with 2 as the mirror...  I think that there are only 4 connectors for extension for SSD/HDD... Is this correct?  I have to replace one of the SATAs 2 TB with the 1 TB SSD?  What configuration I would define then the three SATAs 2 TB?  Would it be to say that he would have only 1 TB SATA? Could I set up so that it has SATA 1.5 TB (with SATAs split with half active and part of the half of the mirror for a RAID configuration)?  Furthermore, I have really no idea what RAID is or fact, just that you only half of total storage really active and the second half is as a backup in case of failure of a disk or something to avoid any data loss total... It is also the thing that I'm confused about that I don't know if it is also possible to install two graphics cards of Titan in SLI configuration on the micro ATX motherboard, I guess its Alienware Aurora will be, and still less 1 Titan.  Yes I know it is exaggeration lol, but the game is very important for us, especially since this is how we met.

Sorry for the long post... Finally, the MAIN POINT & QUESTION:

I have to install a different motherboard like the Asus Rampage Black Edition IV: in order to install two Titan GPU in SLI configuration?  If so, how this O_o...?  Also, I heard that there is a 'girl' Council that controls the Alien FX LED lighting and ventilation Active... How to connect to the new motherboard (if I need to get a new one)?  Also if I get the other motherboard (if this motherboard work with everything) this motherboard would have space for 4 x 2 TB RAID 1 + 0 and the 1 TB SSD SATAs?

    Please answer.  Thanks, ~ value

to install two Titan GPU in SLI configuration?

Don't know why you config-ed with two years 780 in SLI if you want two Titan-SLI but this guy did:

Personally, I'd keep just 780 - SLI, since the two configs end up being very similar to the performance. Either they're going run hot (in the game of max.).
