• No sound in Windows 7 with Boot Camp 4

  Method 1:Delete CCG, prefetch files.
   
  Step 1: Delete Temp files

  If you want to turn outside your library in a referenced library, with the originals on the external hard drive, you can not do it by duplicating the library if your original library is managed. Does not support photos to transform photos managed in referenced. The only way to make a photo referenced must import it such that referenced.

  You can do the following:

  • Export all the photo you want to move to a second library to your external drive.
  • Then, create an empty library on your internal drive and import the photos exported to this library with the preference "import. Copy items to the library' for disabled people.

  If you have used NTFS before OS X El Capitan your third-party NTFS software will need to be updated.  OS X can natively read NTFS volumes, but the third party software is necessary to allow write access.

  If your player is in HFS +, then it could be a permissions problem.

• Laptop running Windows 7 does not start if the external hard drive is connected

  I know what is already on a thread, but here it is again (i.e. thread became uncontrollable anyway and did not offer me solutions). I have an ASUS K53S laptop computer Series and use it as a desktop PC. It sits on my desk and never move, I plugged my larger screen, a keyboard and mouse, printer and external hard drive that I keep all my information on i rarely save to local disk. These things represent more than ports USB to the laptop, I have a hub 4 ports on there also. It is just background information; I mean, the laptop is a must.

  Here's the problem: when I start, as I do every morning, I used to see ASUS inspire Innovation - first of all, persistent Perfection for about 1 second, then the laptop will just get on the job and complete its start-up in about a minute (including login). Which was very good until a few days ago when things started slows down a bit, then I rebooted as I always used to with my Windows XP tour. All closed but return is reactivated and it hung on the opening screen of ASUS and show no signs of getting further. I went outside and continued on another work that does not need a computer, thinking that if I ignored it it would be bit go further, but I came back hours later to find that it is always locked.
  Well after a little, I took the plug my external hard drive, and he continued to start where he left off, like nothing had happened.

• How can I prevent Windows Update to write data to my external HARD drive

  I have Windows XP running on a controller NI PXI-8106. On this same controller, I have two mapped drives.
  1 C drive where Windows is installed
  2-external SATA drive mounted in RAID0 used to save sensitive data in our application.

  We discovered that Windows update has written files to disk external DRIVE instead of the local drive as we would expected. What could I do to prevent this. It is very important for us, given that the RAID0 data should not be upset by any means. We cannot update Windows to write outside of the C: drive.

  I look on various forums and it seems that I'm not the only one in this situation where Windows Update writes data to an external HARD drive, but I have not seen anywhere a solution to avoid this, in addition to unmaping the drive.

  During the installation of updates, Windows Update downloads the installers (only) for updates to the drive with free space available. You can either disconnect the external drive when you need and/or free up space on, for example, your boot drive.

• Windows 7 backup and restore not recognizing external hard drives

  My laptop recognizes the drives external hard and other storage devices and I can read and manually copy files, etc for them. But the backup and restore told me that nothing is connected when I try to run it. Also, when I connect the external hard drive to a USB port, the menu that is displayed does not include the option of backup of the device just connect.   1. Is - this happy with all external hard drives or individual?
  2. What kind of backup are trying to create, auto or manual?
  3. You did it recently no specific changes in the computer?

  There may be several reasons why backup & restore does not recognize the external hard drive. Let's check out the steps below.

  Step 1: Connect the device to a USB (Universal Serial Bus) and a different test.

  Step 2: You can check if the services responsible for the backup of restoration & work or not.

  Volume Shadow Copy and backup of Windows service.

  To check the services, you can follow the procedure.

  (a) click Start.

  (b) in the Search tab, type Services.msc , and then press Efriendship.

  I just bought a new laptop (Sony Vaio) with Windows 8Pro (System op 64-bit, Intel I7, 1THD).  One of the reasons is that I have approached Win8, is I liked the concept of the new 'File History' backup utility  I started to use the computer with an ext WD My Guide of the HD and the history of the files seemed to work.  Then the drive external hard went wrong and I just bought a new WD My Passport 2 t ext HD.  Historical files will not recognize this drive.  He keeps asking the old drive.  When I attached the new drive and go to the screen "Select drive", it says "no usable drives are detected.  Please connect a drive... "I know that the drive is there because I see under 'My computer' and I can copy files to it.  But the history of the files do not recognize.  WD, I called and they helped me to update drivers and even made a update firmware on the drive, but nothing is done.  I tried several fixes suggested in a few links Microsoft 'how file history works... '. «, «What to do if the file history works more...» ", etc, but all without success. The tech also remote BestBuy Geek squad my computer and tried EVERYTHING and could not get it to succeed.  BTW, it's not the HD post because put us on another computer to WIN 8 and Hx file found immediately.  Tech people thought that it was a deep registry with Win 8 problem and their only suggestion was to reimage my computer with the original recovery disk.  But who is going to cost me an arm and a leg.

  I was having this same problem, but then noticed a presentation text easy to miss in the historical files tool that says that the disc "cannot be a part of a library" or something like that. In my case, I had files on my external hard drive that have been included in several libraries... and none that I really used, so I removed the files (and deleted the libraries for good measure). A fast system restart later, and my player does not appear.

  I don't know why MS did not propose it again for this thread as the more obvious thing to check, but there you have it. Something simple and quick to check that could save you some frustration.

• Lightroom CC - edition in the external editor with images located on the external hard drive problems

  I have recently moved most of my image containing folders on external hard drive. In general, everything works smoothly in Lightroom (running latest CC). However, if I try to use an external editor of in Lightroom, I managed opening image in Photoshop CC if it is chosen. However, if I try to edit in a NIK Collection programs (i.e. Viveza 2) or affinity Photo I get error messages. The copy of Tiff is generated within lightroom, but at the spearhead of the external editor the following messages are met...

  • Viveza 2 - 'News file. Plist could not be opened"
  • Photo of affinity - "'could not open the file - / Volumes/4Tb iMac/2015-10-20-202036/Macintosh of the castle of my book 2 Backup/Backups.backupdb/Neil HD/Applications/Adobe Illustrator CS5/Plug-ins.localized/Photoshop Filters.localized/Unsharp Mask.aip/Contents/Resources/he.lproj/InfoPlist.strings the file type is not supported.". " My external backup drive is " " " 4 TB my book 2 backup" but my images are on an external drive called "4 TB My Book 1" ".

  However, if I move the folders containing images of problem on my desktop (iMAC 27 2015) in Lightroom external editor command change... works very well. The images open with Nik Collection and Photo of affinity and save in Lightroom when save. Everyone knows about this problem? And if you have, is there a resolution?

  Looks like I solved my problem with Lightroom. I disassembled my external backup drive, but upheld the disk external drive containing the photos up and then restarted my mac. After the reboot, I open Lightroom and chose the image on an external drive for mounting in affinity Photo and Collection of Nik. Both image successfully opened in editors. I reassembled the backup drive and rebooted time machine and repeated the same opening picture in external editors. Once again, works great. Have no idea where the original problem. Looks like a bad path was stored in a config somewhere file.

• With the help of 2 external hard drives

  I want to connect 2 external hard drives (OWC Mercury Elite Pro) to my iMac.  I use one for the pictures and the other for the safeguarding of the iMac.  The two hard drives come with FireWire, USB 3 cable also.  Is it possible to connect the two leads one to the other with fireware, or do I need to connect one with firewire and other separately with USB? I would like to get the speed of firewire to both if possible.

  Yes, you can connect in series up to 70 FireWire devices. Plug a drive in firewire on Mac port and the second in unoccupied left FW of the first drive.

I can't open the drive and I get E:\ is not accessible. Access is denied. When I try to change the permissions, it says I don't have the right to change permissions and when I try to take ownership of the drive I get E:\ is not accessible. Access is denied. My user use this player to switch between two computers on different networks. A computer is one out of a COMPLETE domain name and others is a stand alone however he uses his ACC even to connect the two systems. None of these machines can see the owner. I am at a loss someone running into that? The drive is completely useless unless I can understand that. Also, I tried to format the drive. Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can give.

• Windows 7 does not not my IDE external Hard Drives

  I know that there are several questions that are similar to this one, but not exactly hit the nail on the head with my problem... I hard ten discs in a box and I wanted to get rid of them, but not before you make sure that there is no personal info on them... They range from 1.5 GB to 80 GB... These are obviously all former readers and are all IDE... I bought a deal to convert external drives so that I can see the content of each of them... When I plugged it in, Windows makes it sound as if they are connected, but I don't see the drive in "My Computer"... I tried more than one drive and got the same result... I then put my SATA drive in the enclosure and it works very well... Then I took the return envelope and got another another brand... Same result... Why isn't it not recognize my internal of external drives IDE converted?

  I tried both of your solutions and it still didn't work... Then I tried about 4 readers more and it dawned on me... None of the drives are still turning... I had a faulty case... At least the latter, I had, readers would turn... They were not simply be recognized... I'll get another one in the next day or two and all let you know the result... Thanks for the help...
