10g Full exp/imp using the sys user

Hello

I plan to do an export of complete data of data from a database to a different database created on another server/platform.
Oracle version/patch level is the same 10.1.0.5.

I also plan to use exp/imp instead of datapump, as I'm not sure how stable Datapump is in this version.

I want to export and import as "/ as sysdba" because it pays a sys privileges for users of database application.

file = filename log full filename.log = exp = y
Full IMP = log y = filename ignore = there give = filename.dmp

ignore = y, because the tablespaces wil lbe created in advance due to the disposal of the other file system.

The above method is ok or it will cause me problems

Thank you

Hello

exp/imp does not affect accounts system/sys. they are not at all affected.

  • Using the SYS account

    Dear all,

    My database is Oracle 10 g on Windows platform.

    Due to certain requirements (DBAs) checks must use our accounts indivisual instead of SYS.

    I want to confirm if I assign SYSDBA, s/n, RESOURCES, CONNECT to a user it will get all the privileges that the SYS user have? I think I will be fine.

    The second condition is now, if I get all the privileges in my own account who is saying "IMRAN" than will be using the SYS account. It can be disabled?

    Thank you and best regards.

    SYS cannot be disabled.  Cannot delete SYSDBA privilege.  Any person who is granted the SYSDBA privilege and made a connection with "AS SYSDBA" actually connects under the SYS, not his named account account.

    Therefore,.

    a: I would not grant SYSDBA to named users

    b. I would lock in a safe accessible only by a manager the "oracle" account (and any other account in the OSDBA group)

    c. ask the DBA using the DBA role (or a custom, more restrictive role)

    d. to request the account 'oracle' only for STARTUP, SHUTDOWN, RESTORE/RECOVERY and patch.  (assuming backups are automated scripted jobs)

  • Tracking change the sys user actions

    I use Oracle 10.2.0.3

    Is there anyway I can follow change the user account unlock or take into account the lock instructions?
    I need to update the table with the username when account unlocking or locking operations is performed.

    I know audit_sys_operations auditera sys operations and write them to a file but it will not help my problem since I want to update a table when the unlock operation account is made.

    I can't create trigger on table $ USER because it is a table of the sys user.

    Is there another way to track and update the table?

    It looks like you want a trigger on the event alter at the database level. See the first line of [table 9-4 | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14251/adfns_triggers.htm#CHDGIJDB] which indicates what attributes are available inside a trigger on the ALTER event. From there, take a look at [table 9-2 | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14251/adfns_triggers.htm#CHDCFDJG] which describes each of the available attributes.

    Since you are interested in changes to the users you probably want to test only the attribute ora_dict_obj_type = 'USER '.

    Further you can must use the attribute ora_sql_txt function which is available according to table 9-2 to inspec the actual SQL that was used to change the user data dictionary.

    You probably want something like this (note that this is not tested):

    CREATE or replace TRIGGER ALTER_USER_TRG
    BEFORE ALTER ON DATABASE
      l_stmt varchar2(2000);
      l_sql_text ora_name_list_t;
      n number;
      l_action VARCHAR2(50);
    BEGIN
      if (ora_dict_obj_type = 'USER') THEN
        n := ora_sql_txt(l_sql_text);
        for i in 1..n loop
          l_stmt := l_stmt || l_sql_text(i);
        END LOOP;

        if regexp_like(l_stmt, '(un)?lock', 'i') then

          null;

        end if;

      end if;
    END;

    Newer versions of oracle have implemented a great new technology to help solve problems, called "error messages."  Unfortunately, I can't find any reference to an error message named 'is no longer able to connect.

    And why you are moving your site from inventory?  When you have installed oracle, he put the inventory where he wanted.  There is no reason to try to change or replace.

  • The SYS user connects to the database level, is this correct?

    My senior colleague gave me following information about the user sys. I want to know, - is this correct?

    Since the SYS user connects to the database level, therefore, on the session active user SYS, to kill only the current statement is canceled. The database session does not disconnect. Instead, he continues to run the remaining in the script file instructions where we run a script file that contains a large number of SQL statements.

    Elya

    If the Oracle session was killed and the customer continued to successfully submit the following commands to the database, a new session was automatically created to replace the killed session. A feature called Of Application Transparent failover which allows the customer to switch to a session of a RAC server to another RAC server, the initial session fails (for example, RAC Server breaks down).

    TAF is part of the response to the so-called "+ the Evil Twins +"-errors and crashes. The rest of the answer are FAN (Fast Application Notification) and CLF (resumption of fast connection). This set of features about the errors and crashes - and allows an application 'seamless' continue even when his Oracle Server session fails.

    See the white paper Oracle on failover of applications with Oracle Database 11 g for the basic details.

    You need to register a new provider of authentication on WLS. Please see this link http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/fnimphius/oidconfig/index.html.

  • The agreement of exp/imp privilege to a user authenticated externally

    DB version: 11.2.0.2
    OPERATING SYSTEM: AIX 6.1

    We have a User (schema) DB called OPS$ appuser who is authenticated on the outside.
    This user must be granted privilege to perform import dumpfile of the schema scott to another schema, called appschema2.

    That's what appuser will do to the unix command line
    --

    $ su - appuser

    $ exp / owner=scott file=scott.dmp

    $ imp / file=scott.dmp fromuser=scott touser=appschema2
    This involved the DB schemas
    OPS$appuser -- The user performing the exp and imp

    scott       -- The schema which is being exported

    appschema2  -- The schema which OPS$appuser imports the contents in scott.dmp to.
    For security reasons, we cannot grant the privilege IMP_FULL_DATABASE OPS $ appuser. Then, what a privilege can I give to OPS$ appuser to perform tasks above exp and imp?

    Hope that the exp and imp syntax I mentioned above are correct

    No, as imp_full_database is necessary for this.

    Also, you will use better expdp and impdp using the network_link parameter.
    In doing so, you could write a pl/sql procedure using the dbms_data_pump API to replace the cr * p command line and there will be no access from command line required more.

    Every time the database is created and the software installed by default system, sys, sysaux will be created.
