  Hello! I have a question about the Oracle 10g admin 1 (1z0-042) Certification.
  
  I passed 1z0-007 SQL Oracle 9i in December 28, 2012.
  Now, I decided to complete tracks of OCP DBA in Oracle 10 g.
  My Questions are,
  
  1 should I should I improve?
  2 Does1z0-042 complete my GED?

  3. I will have the choice to complete OCP 1z0-043 taking?

  The answer to your question is Yes.  1Z0-007 > 1z0-042 > (1z0-043 + training) = 10 g OCP

  There is no such thing as upgrading your credentials SQL Fundamentals.  They are marked by a release of the database only for the convenience of the OU.  I discuss here:

  I passed the tests OCA and OCP 10g. We have no training $$s so I can't take the a required class to get the official status of OCP.

  No problems.

  Only possible disadvantages could reduce the availability of some of the shorter and cheaper g 10 course that would suit the requirement. Sometimes 11g courses may be accepted for a 10 g OCP DBA, but check first.

  (It doesn't affect you, but to confirm it for other readers, the reverse is not true, 10 g training is not accepted for 11g certification OCP DBA... those with a drive of 10g will go 1z0-042/3 and then 1z0-050 (as you do)).

  I spent my 10g OCA, so the 10 g OCP (1Z0-043) review.
  
  I'll work the Watson / Bersinic book and I'm also booked on the course ADMIN WORKSHOP II 5 days Hands On. My question is about her marriage to the question in the book and the course, with what is in the program.

  .. mentions the topics related to the security of database (VPD), moving data (data pump, external tables, etc.) & VLDB. By my calculation data movement has been addressed in the review OCA 1Z0-042 and database security & VLDB is not mentioned in the program here, nor are they mentioned nowhere in the book from Watson. :

  I know that the program is subject to change and the book of Watson has some crossover in terms of 1z0-042 and 043 material, but this seems to be a significant omission. First of all, I want to make sure I don't see data pump, nor cover the material safety & the large database - whose source seems to only be available through the hands on the course / Oracle documentation in any case.

  Recently, I've erased my first exam 1Z0-051 SQL Fundamentals... now I am studying for 1Z0 - 042 (Oracle Database 10 g: Administration I have), so just wanted to know if this book from sybex i.e. (OCP: Oracle 10 g (1Z0-042 and 1Z0-043) Certification Kit) good enough to prepare for the exam, check below url

  Do not know if you answer this type of question here, but the what h3ll...
  
  The exam paper indicates that you should be able to identify when / when not to use shared servers. However the Sybex book goes into a lot of detail about this (inclduing a good in examples of questions), and Oracle Press book has a much 'lighter' vision of the subject.
  
  With this in mind, it seems that the review covers only a small aspect of the object (a good thing from my point of view!). Am I correct, or I'd be sure that I know him minutae CIRCUITS, parameters SHARED_SERVER_SESSIONS & DISPATCHER_RATE view (s) etc.

  In fact authority for the 1z0 - 042 exam subjects:

  This has been updated account 10 gr 2 subjects in November 2006. (Subjects may even have changed since then, but I don't think).

  It seems to me that your books dating back to front. They might even have been prepared while the review was in beta.

  In general the Sybex book IMHO is sometimes a little higher in these things in relation to the press of the Oracle, but its all good things anyway and useful to know.

• 10g OCA and prometric certification

  I did my test 1Z0-007 (SQL) year last to Prometric.
  
  I know want to do the 1Z0-042 exam of the new test center.
  
  I have a few questions, once I have my exam, Oracle will know that I also passed my exam 1Z0-007, and this is why I get my OCA certificate? Or what I need to do something more?
  And how long will it take to get the certificate of the OCA? And I have reason to assume that you don't need to attend the training for OCA?

  Pearson view will only show the examinations taken under Pearson VIEW.
  Certview should show the two (it takes sometimes a little while for things to filter through to Certview).

  I appear in the exam 1Z0-047 that I am a developer SQL and PL/SQL in oracle 10g.
  But I just want to know if the exam 1Z0-047 is the first, or should I take the fundamental SQL or any other exam appearing before 1Z0-047?

  You can take exam 1Z0-047 directly, there is no prequisity to order other tests first.

  Can pls anyone provide details on study guides available on the market for oracle 10 g release 2 (exam 1Z0 - 040 OCP)?
  Surfed on net but could not find the oracle 10 g R2 certification study guides.
  I ask free dumps or free study Guide just names of the book available on the market. In a plan to buy store only :)
  
  I have guides written by bob bryla and sam zora. but they are for oracle 10g release 1.

  I am new to oracle. I know a bit about SQL (its basic syntax). Now, I want to go to the certification track. (OCA = > OCP). He first of all, I have to take the exam 1Z0-007 (if I'm not mistaken). I want to prepare for the consideration of the. Each of you will guide me which, from where I should start? I mean, what book, what study material, links etc. As I am new to your community and this is my first post. Please accept my apologies if I made a mistake.

  1Z0 - 007 must always be the first review you...

  I would just like to say that the alternative SQL exam 1z0-051 is a review more modern and I am reasonably sure that the team that produced for it was intended to produce a review better with more relevant topics.

  1Z0-051 study also sets out probably more focus on the new ansi join syntax.

  So 1z0-051 is probably the best choice of review SQL for many people.

  It said that some will have reasons to go with 1z0 - 007; We can already have material for tha for example.

  Examination of SQL is first as previous poster said is IMHO the most judicious choice of decision for DBA/developer OCA/OCP candidates.
