11.1.1.7 WebCenter Portal spaces - external link question

We have a space of organization created by another part of the team that has a model of navigation with links to tasks workflows and other internal resources.  Our part of the team change the navigation menu to incorporate links external https applications Oracle Forms/Reports. We are unable to open these links in a new window.  We can get the link to open the WebCenter space, but whatever option we choose in the field ' Open link in ", we always get the same result.

" We are concerned, there is a limitation as when we add the" https:// ' URL in the field path on the target tab, the Options tab has more 'New window' as an option in the drop down for the field ' Open link in "."  We work around this problem, by updating add directly the XML:

< attribute attributeId = 'Target' isKey = "false" value = "_blank" / >

Here's the question: is Webcenter allow you to have a link to the external secure page open in a new window?  If so, what configuration change is required for us to accomplish this?

Thank you

Hello.

It's easy:

  • AF:goLink . with the property targetFrame to open links as _blank, _self... (She translates to normal ( )
  • AF:commandLink does not have the targetFrame property, and you can use pprnav.

You just have to check with af:switcher based on the attributes of node/settings that use a single.

My reference to the pageTemplate_global is just a sample on how logic can be applied, must be followed rigorously. In this case, the commandLink's tests only whether or not she should open a popup to display more navigation.

I hope this information helps.

Kind regards.

    Hello

I'm working on the creation of spaces and subspaces of hierarchy. I created some sub-areas under a parent space that appears beneath the drop-down list "sub-areas". Now, I want a custom name that is displayed in the parent's area and rename it "sub-areas". Kindly help me if this is possible.

    Yes. It is possible.

I'm a little uncertain, if you want to rename sub-areas, or links to them (for example, in a navigation model). Both are possible.

(a), as to rename a (void) space, simply open the subspace to be renamed and under (Pages and spaces Actions) select (manage) - (General settings)

  • Add images customized to exculpatory WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8

    Hi all,

I'm developing a custom page template and appearance customized for WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 using jDeveloper. IM following the steps of the official guide to development of components for WebCenter portal using JDeveloper - 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1.8.0). I use jDeveloper 11.1.1.7 with the Extension of the WebCenter for JDeveloper (11.1.1.8.0) Portal.

"According to the guide, I added all my images customized to the oracle/webcenter/siteresources/scopedMD/shared of the shared folder, and then I added a picture to my jspx model using the path Guide: af:image source="/oracle/webcenter/siteresources/scopedMD/shared/myimage.png "id ="pt_i2"/ >

To download the page template, I did a right click on the assets of Template.jspx, and I chose resources portal update to the server. The download process finished successfully and model results updated, but my custom images has not been posted. It seems that jDev build the right ear for download, but no single image is uploaded to the WCS (or PCO in 11.1.1.8 conditions). Same thing happens to create a custom look.

Hope someone could help me. Thank you

    Simone

    Hi Simond.

Since 11.1.1.8 equipped version your static files / folder is not recommended. Oracle documentation:

    "\shared .

Directory inherited in MDS for images and content used by assets, such as icons, images and so on.

Oracle recommends that you move all these artifacts to your content server and you use a folder structure on your server content specifically for active artifacts so that content is easy to identify and move, if necessary.

If you choose not to move objects stored in the MDS, your administrator can use the MDS WLST commands exportMetadata / importMetadata to migrate the content to and from MDS. »

As you can see, using JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 with 11.1.1.8 extensions no longer allow to include content / shared when you export a resource (checkbox "Include content directories"). If you need the images/icons in SDM you should import manually.

  • Modify the error pages customized in the spaces of the Webcenter Portal

    Hi all

I use webcenter spaces 11.1.1.8.6. I need help on the following points.

How can I create an error page customized for generic error pages that we have in the system pages as encountered error; None of the accessible Pages; Page not found; Portal not found; Not allowed. The goal is that we replace these pages with the page of the custom portal which has the appearance of portal and personalized message.

For example. If we want to replace the profile page custom in webcenter we can create a customized our own page and create a writing of this page in the WC_PPL_COMMON_SETTING table. This will replace the profile existing and call our newly created custom page.

Similarly, I want to know what can I do to change (like the encountered error error pages; None of the accessible Pages; Page not found; Portal not found; Not allowed).

One way is to customize and press start to customizaing the default page. But I want to keep the default page as it is and to create my own new page, as I said to the profile.

Of Webcenter 11.1.1.8, Webcenter spaces has been merged to the Webcenter portal. In gross terms, you can do development of portal within a space.

  • WebCenter content bundled with Webcenter portal capabilities.

    Hi all

Can someone tell me if there is no restriction on the size of the documents that must be checked in the Center web content that comes with the license of Portal Center web.

Also in terms of capacity, it would be great if someone can share the difference in functionality that this embedded version would provide wrt UCM stand-alone standard system.

    Thanks in advance.

The restriction is defined as follows:

WebCenter content (limited to the management of documents, content Web (WCM), digital assets (DAM) and other components of content management for the delivery of content as part of an application or a WebCenter Portal).

    This means:

-no restrictions on the calibration of the documents.

-WCC must be installed on the same HW (CPU license) as portal WebCenter

-some modules of the WCC are absent (e.g., records management)

-most important: WCC content must be accessible via a portal WebCenter (spaces), or application; If you want to access the content via COE GUIs, Desktop Integration Suite, or interfaces such as RIDC/WS, you will need full license of the WCC.
