I HAVE A HP MINI 110-3100. I REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE DRIVE WITH AN ELEMENT PROVIDED BY HP. THE PAST ALL HARDWARE TESTS. I HAVE INSERTED INTO A READER EXTERNAL, THE RECOVERY DISC I MADE WHEN I BOUGHT THE MACHINE, AND WINDOWS LOADS TO POSTER. HOWEVER, IT MOVES THEN TO "HP RECOVERY MANAGER", WHICH ME GIVES ONLY 1 OPTION: "RUN COMPUTER CHECKUP. WHEN SELECTED, IT IS FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER MONO OPTION, "OPEN A COMMAND PROMPT." WHEN I SELECT THIS, I GET ' administrator: x:\Windows\system32\Cmd.exe' FOLLOW-UP BY ' x:\Windows\RM > ' ENTRY AND A FLASHING CURSOR SEARCHING MY (I ASSUME MS-DOS). I AM AT A LOSS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SUPPOSED TO DO - I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING USEFUL ON THE HP WEB SITE OR WINDOWS. ANY ADVICE WILL BE VERY APPRECIATED.

If your laptop comes with windows 7 Starter, and you can read all 25 characters of the product key for W7 Starter, you can make your own install of W7 Starter disc (in fact, it will be for all versions of W7).

I m confused about your ad normally, you can install the recovery image of Toshiba Recovery on each HARD disk drive. Just boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen, everything will be installed automatically.

I have a pavilion laptop dv6 3080el with windows 7 and after the HARD drive that basically, I bought a disc double, specifically BLACK (2) WD Dual Drive.
I used the DVD I reinstal windows using system recovery, but after I put in the DVD 5 and pressed "continue" to restart the system, I just get (after the first screen where by pressing ESC, you go to the Start Menu) wrote a black screen with "No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key".
Any suggestions on how I can complete the installation of windows?Thank you!!!

How to reload Vista HP after HARD drive replaced without a Vista CD
I bought a laptop Lenovo 3000 G410 with Vista HP (English version) in Hong Kong and then retired and moved to France.
My computer has now failed because of a faulty HARD drive and a local agent has installed a new HARD drive and a version of Windows 7 in French.
I don't find it easy to use a French operating system and prefer to completely re - install Vista.
I don't have a Vista CD to restore the operating system, as this was not supplied with the computer
Where can I get a replacement for Vista English drive?

Can I use the product key on the stikcer on the bottom of the laptop to activate win7?

Once you have your new drive installed and your recovery disc made available:

Backup failed through rescue recovery after HARD drive upgrade

I have a T60p 8743 CTO with Vista Business. I upgraded from 2 GB to 4 GB and 100 GB to 500 GB HARD drive.
The process that I did was to replace the old HDD with a new one. Recovery discs to load the vista on the new HARD drive. Then loaded the last backup of the old HARD drive. I assumed that I had all the features of the tools think vantage on the new HARD drive too.
Now, I was intending to load the Linux operating system. Then when I tried to create a backup using rescue and recovery, I couldn't get fact.
Could you please suggest me if there is a mistake in the procedure above. How to solve the current problem?
Could I make a partition and load Linux with problem? I need Linux to my goal of research.

Stand by. AFAIK the unit has just two (1/2 and 2/2) recovery CD and just sold in Switzerland has several recovery disks (three languages).

Satellite A200 - recovery for HARD drive replacement drive

I have here an A200 owner said that he has just stopped working, it gives the message "BOOTMGR is missing", it was running Vista Basic. The 'documents' folder is actually more logical than the folder "images". I have a folder called "Lr_catalogs", but I use multiple catalogs.
No need to reinstall win10; It won't change anything. Now that you have found the catalog, all is good to go.
The catalog must be on a local disk (internal or external). However, backups can go to the NAS. Backups must go to one drive other than that of the active catalog is on.

I just picked up my Satellite P300 - 20 H, using HARD drive recovery,
Any ideas as to what I should do now? Laptop backed up, HDD Recovery wiped and returned the laptop to factory default. What should I do now? I never wiped a laptop or a PC before. I did the restore via the HARD disk and all came back when I got the laptop almost 2 years ago but now I have 108 updates to windows, and my Toshiba Tempro does not work.
I have to update all the drivers on the laptop and if so, how do I know what needs to be updated and how can I do this?I went to the Toshiba site and he gave me a list of the drivers available for my particular model but I am not sure how much of these driver updates, I need to actually download and update.

I m wondering about your question: it seems that you have made the recovery of HARD drive but you didn t know what HDD recovery not right?
As you have noticed, it will restore your computer back to factory settings. You have the same settings that you have purchased. It is therefore useful if Windows doesn t start more or you want to reinstall Windows.You can use your laptop as before: there is no difference. All Windows updates should be installed, that's very important because they are security updates day and you help protect your computer. So, start Windows updates and follow the installation.

I have HP Pavilion dv7t-4100 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC, and I had problems with hard disk of the guarantee period. for example I buy in 2010 and had a hard drive replaced in 2011 and 2012. Next time, he failed in 2013 (almost 11 months apart on average).
