Pavilion dv6 3080el - sistem recovery after hard drive change

Hello world!

I have a pavilion laptop dv6 3080el with windows 7 and after the HARD drive that basically, I bought a disc double, specifically BLACK (2) WD Dual Drive.
I used the DVD I reinstal windows using system recovery, but after I put in the DVD 5 and pressed "continue" to restart the system, I just get (after the first screen where by pressing ESC, you go to the Start Menu) wrote a black screen with "No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key".
Any suggestions on how I can complete the installation of windows?

  • Pavilion P6-2469eo: Reinstalling windows after HARD drive crash

Hi, I just bought a defective HP Pavilion P6 known.   After receiving and checking, it appears that the hard drive is faulty.

The machine does not start, I have activated POST messages and now a screen message saying that 'no boot disk was detected, or the drive failed.    The DPS self test fails with code 7.

I disabled the secure boot and can boot from a CD of Linux, so I know that, basically, the computer is still alive

My question is, once I have comes from replacing the hard drive, I can get a copy of replacement windows to HP or do I buy one out of the copy of the Windows Tablet (or install Linux)?

I was told that the machine is two years old and just out of warranty.

    Thank you!

If out of warranty, you will most likely need to buy a set of HP or a partner of HP recovery disk. The good thing is that it's a reasonable price.

  • Pavilion dv6-1030us: there is no hard drive

I have a dv6-1030us which today would not initialize, said that no boot device and the hard disk do not exist.  Works very well yesterday, without any hard disk problems.  I have the original recovery disks that I created when I got the machine.  When I put disc 1 one number, it says windows copies the files, then a status bar continuously appears above the copyright of microsoft thingy.  The status bar continues to flow as he do something and not going anywhere.  If I insert recovery disk number 2 nothing happens, even if I insert the disc number 2 and try to restart.  Any ideas or is it time to go shopping

It seems that the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 320GB hard drive you can use a 500 GB hard drive but not a hard drive of 250 GB. The main problem you will have to avoid is that latest hdds Advanced Format (AF) will cause major problems and probably a return for Vista recovery disks.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6060ep: question to replace HARD drive

    Hello.

I would like to know if replacing the current 500 Gb Hdd with a SSD would cancel or in any way affect my warranty coverage. The laptop is a year old. Thanks in advance for any assistance of withy this question.

    Hello:

There should be no problem with the warranty as long as you don't break something trying to install the HARD drive.

HP will not support the SSD however and your recovery disks don't work because the new drive must be the same size the 500 GB HARD drive you removed.

I have a workaround for the problem of recovery disk...

According to the specifications of your PC system, it came with W7 Home Premium 64-bit.

It must be in English, French or Spanish version too.

If so, download the ISO W7 Home Premium 64 bit on the link below.

Burn the file on a disk using a program that can burn ISO files so the DVD is bootable DVD burning.

Burn at the lowest speed as possible.

Then use the product key 25 character on the bottom of your laptop computer to activate the installation.

Support of your laptop and driver page visit to install all the drivers you need.

Link to downloads of MS of W7.

  • Satellite L305 - recovery after HARD drive installation

The hard drive on my L305 Satellite is out and had to replace it. Ordered the Toshiba recovery disks and have spent the last two hours Exchange back and forth every minute or so when you are prompted. Is this normal or should I try something different?

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Hello

I m confused about your ad normally, you can install the recovery image of Toshiba Recovery on each HARD disk drive. Just boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen, everything will be installed automatically.

What exactly happens if you start from the recovery disk?

  • Pavilion dv6: I did now the hard drive on my HDD test failed and the pavilion dv6

The problem is that my laptop when I start it it takes like 10-15 minutes to load.

I see loading windows xp logo and then he is suspended for more then 10 minutes or more.

Now, I tried to do a test for the material. I turn on the laptop and click the F2 key and I entered the test screen of hp hardware. I moved start test drive hard and after 5-10 seconds or if stopped with a test failure:

That's what I see now on the screen of the laptop:

    Test Drive: 1

    INTELLIGENT control: PAST

    DST short: FAILURE

    FAILURE ID: 64WE1A-5BC7Q7-XD003F - 60Q 903

    PRODUCT ID: XE041EA #ABT

    Hard drive 1

    Edit:

I tried now all the other tests in the F2 screen, and they all went except the short DST hard drive that has failed.

Better to buy a new hard drive and replace it with this one and I install the new OS on it own?

    Test drive: FAILURE

Does that mean ID failure? I need to replace with a new hard drive? If so can I buy a new hard drive and replace it only with myself?

I did no other reviews but I want to first of all understand what it means to id of failure.

    Hello

The hard drive is faulty defiantly and Yes should not replace. Failure ID is given, so if your laptop is under warranty you can give this to HP and it will then allow you the replacement

Usually the instructions on how to replace the hard drive are in the manual of your computer that you will be able to get a copy on the HP site. You can also buy the HP installation media which will be operating system files on your for reinstall on the new hard drive.

  • ThinkVantage Button takes me to the system recovery after HARD drive partition

    Hello

I recently bought a W520 with 4 GB of RAM.

I bought 3 branches of more than 4 GB each, installed and everything was fine. Also, I shrunk the C: drive and created a new disk (D:\) from space, that I rescued after the reduction of the volume.

When I start the laptop and you want to enter the BIOS setup by pressing the blue ThinkVantage button, she won't go to the BIOS Setup. Rather, it passes through the system recovery options.

What gives? How can I go to the BIOS Setup?

I HAVE A HP MINI 110-3100.  I REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE DRIVE WITH AN ELEMENT PROVIDED BY HP.  THE PAST ALL HARDWARE TESTS.  I HAVE INSERTED INTO A READER EXTERNAL, THE RECOVERY DISC I MADE WHEN I BOUGHT THE MACHINE, AND WINDOWS LOADS TO POSTER.  HOWEVER, IT MOVES THEN TO "HP RECOVERY MANAGER", WHICH ME GIVES ONLY 1 OPTION: "RUN COMPUTER CHECKUP.   WHEN SELECTED, IT IS FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER MONO OPTION, "OPEN A COMMAND PROMPT."  WHEN I SELECT THIS, I GET ' administrator: x:\Windows\system32\Cmd.exe' FOLLOW-UP BY ' x:\Windows\RM > ' ENTRY AND A FLASHING CURSOR SEARCHING MY (I ASSUME MS-DOS).  I AM AT A LOSS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SUPPOSED TO DO - I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING USEFUL ON THE HP WEB SITE OR WINDOWS.  ANY ADVICE WILL BE VERY APPRECIATED.

    Hello:

If your laptop comes with windows 7 Starter, and you can read all 25 characters of the product key for W7 Starter, you can make your own install of W7 Starter disc (in fact, it will be for all versions of W7).

See the link below for instructions and where to download the installation files.

  • Recovery after hard drive crash catalogue - sought, do not answer!

Hi, drive crashed. The files were stored on my NAS drive and are intact. Catalog has been lost, however, I was able to locate one from a full backup of the new system. I can't get the catalog to view all files.

    Here's what I have:

    Lightroom 5 catalog Previews.lrdata folder with previews.db and root - pixels.db

    5 Lightroom Catalog.lrcat 1.2 MB

I tried to open the catalog, the library is empty.

There is no backup to restore, I checked the shadow in my backup folder, there is nothing there - this, despite the program reminding me to take a backup regularly and make me.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you!

Ok. Found the problem. At some point Lightroom has decided to put his. LRCAT in the DOCUMENTS folder, no PICTURES.

When I restored my Lightroom backup, open and searched a little, I found the. LRCAT and all backups.

Copy them to an external drive right now.

Will clean and reinstall Win10 again from scratch, so everything is just right.

    Then reinstall Lightroom.

I put the, LRCAT on the NAS drive? This thing is backed up nightly.

    Thank you

The 'documents' folder is actually more logical than the folder "images". I have a folder called "Lr_catalogs", but I use multiple catalogs.

No need to reinstall win10; It won't change anything. Now that you have found the catalog, all is good to go.

The catalog must be on a local disk (internal or external). However, backups can go to the NAS. Backups must go to one drive other than that of the active catalog is on.

  • Pavilion DV6: Loud hum of the hard drive when burning CD

Recently, I noticed that my laptop makes a fairly loud "buzzing" or "vibrant" sound. I encountered this problem recently when I tried to burn an audio CD. I've read about this problem on other forums of which most, explain that the cause could be due to the type of disc. I have this problem when I read from a disk. This problem could lead to the type of disc that I use?

    Hello:

It has been my experience throughout my laptop and deskop PC DVD burners do the same racket when it burns CD / DVD, but not when it reads them as well.

I don't think it's something to worry about.

When burning a disc, a much more strain is placed on material that when reading a disc.

I use Memorex or Verbatim quality disc too, and readers always sound as you said.

One of the burners of my desktop PC is so loud, it begins to vibrate the case and I have to give him a rap on the side for the case of vibrate with the burner in the quiet.

  • Satellite P300 - 20 H - what should I do after HARD drive recovery?

    Hello

I just picked up my Satellite P300 - 20 H, using HARD drive recovery,

Any ideas as to what I should do now? Laptop backed up, HDD Recovery wiped and returned the laptop to factory default. What should I do now? I never wiped a laptop or a PC before. I did the restore via the HARD disk and all came back when I got the laptop almost 2 years ago but now I have 108 updates to windows, and my Toshiba Tempro does not work.
I have to update all the drivers on the laptop and if so, how do I know what needs to be updated and how can I do this?

I went to the Toshiba site and he gave me a list of the drivers available for my particular model but I am not sure how much of these driver updates, I need to actually download and update.

If someone could help me it would be really appreciated.
I would be delighted if someone could just explain to me, because I don't know anything about pc / laptop and just want my laptop back to power. So that everything works correctly. I read in the section of the conductors, on toshiba.com that not all windows service packs must be downloaded not all work along the coast Toshiba laptops. So im stuck if I have to download and install updates Windows 108 that are required to be installed also.

Hope someone can help out me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,.

I m wondering about your question: it seems that you have made the recovery of HARD drive but you didn t know what HDD recovery not right?
As you have noticed, it will restore your computer back to factory settings. You have the same settings that you have purchased. It is therefore useful if Windows doesn t start more or you want to reinstall Windows.

You can use your laptop as before: there is no difference. All Windows updates should be installed, that's very important because they are security updates day and you help protect your computer. So, start Windows updates and follow the installation.

Site Web de Toshiba driver updates aren't important, only when you notice problems. If this isn't the case, you can forget the driver updates. ;)

  • Re: Cannot open a session after HARD drive recovery

    Hey once again!
I recently made the recovery of HARD drive, but when I turn on the computer, I'm trying to connect the user to the administrator. But it is a message that says ' your account is blocked. Contact the system administrator ". What should I do? There is no other account to connect to, just a "another user"-thing. But I do not have another user?
I can't do another cover, because when I press F8 there is no option that says "computer repair", just safe mode, the debug etc.» I have recovery disks, but they do not work either.
There is no one else who was using the computer.

    Help is appreciated!
