There are different databases running on different hosts show the same error.

Thank you

KSG,

You can try to get the status & loading/reloading, last download time & target monitored under commands on agent
Have also check in/etc/hosts to the agent host must be in format below
hostname nomhote.nomdomaine

Check ping telnet for connectivity between the agent & SGD

  • Target is temporarily in the State pending state.

    Hello

After restart of the WHO, some of the targets (4 databases and 1 listener) State appears as "Target is temporarily in the State pending state." even if all targets are running. I restarted the agents on the target too but now use. I use 11g grid and targets are on RHEL 5. One of the listener on a single target shows that even down with TNS-12618: TNS:versions are incompatible error but all servers, including the network server are running on the same operating system with the same version of oracle for example 11.2.0.3

Don't know how to solve these problems. Any help would be appreciated.

  • 11G Grid Control Installation.

    Hello

I need to install 11g grid control in a server, using the grid control, I need to maintain and manage 4 different databases, they are running in different servers.

Please guide me what stage I must follow.

    Note:
Each target, I need to install the management agent? and how to install the management agent?

I suggest that get you the latest version on EM 12.10.2 rather than 11 g. You can install costs em 12.1.0.2 SGD and agents to install 12.1.0.2 on your DB. Agent note 11g will not work with 12 ch. SGC or vice versa.

  • 11g grid control agent configuration

    Hello guys,.

I have the problem with the configuration of the control agent Grid 11 g. The root cause of the problem is that the target machine is in the DMZ area. So, it lacks the active ports. Other agents, I have installed is working properly.

The I'm talking about is able to download the data, but in the case of your setup I get the error message: "error occurred while obtaining information for the specified target. Possible reasons include: the target doesn't exist. failed to connect to the target. »

  • A simple question - use of 11g grid control

As I was trying to know the name of the database - for a particular server and schema - of course I don't know the name of the server and schema - however I am not able to find the database associated using the Grid control.

I wonder if there are any good book on control areas (11 g) network manager - how to find the various parameters and how to interpret the metadata for databases, servers, patterns tables etc. backup recovery

I always start with Oracle on line documentation. They update frequently. Here is the URL for 11g EM:

    Look for them
$AGENT_HOME\sysman\log\emoms.log and $AGENT_HOME\sysman\log\emoms.trc and take action

Normally below a series of steps should help:

    . / emctl stop agent

    . / emctl clearstate agent

    . / emctl unsecured agent

    . / emctl upload agent

    . / emctl secure agent

    . / emctl status agent

Yes, you can install OMA and I suggest you to install the agents of 11G because they are now available and have additional options. Version of the agent does not depend on the version of database. An agent can monitor all the Oracle database versions (depending on the version of the agent).

For the certification of the official follow-up of targets, see note MOS:

Auditor Certification Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control [ID 412431.1]

What is your version of SGD also?

OMA officer does not autonomous and you need to have an OEM grid control installed before you install the agent on a target server.

    For OEM grid, please see:

No, Control 11g Grid can handle 2.2. The next version of the Grid control will support Oracle VM 3.0.
