  • Can not backup iPhone to iTunes apps

I'm I searched this problem and none of the answers make sense to me.

Problem... I bought a new iPhone 6 for my wife. I plugged the sound 5 s to iTunes to make a back up. When I connected the new phone and choose to use the backup to configure the phone, everything came, but all its applications. I looked into the iTunes app library and no apps are listed in there.

I read online to select in iTunes to automatically download applications. If I download a new application on the phone again and go back to iTunes, Yes 1 new app is here. However, none of the old applications on the old phone have been downloaded in iTunes with the exception of this new application.

Not to mention that it works not properly, I can't wrap the head around is why can't I just do a full backup as before, when he captured everything on the phone, including apps and when I restore from this backup, everything is right here on the new phone as nothing has changed. Another thing I don't understand is, sure iTunes can download new applications in the library but on all the info in the application? How to get this info transferred because the backup if it isn't the phone?

The apps will be saved in iCloud if I would like to back up on there? I worry also about the users at my work who get new iPhones and never use an iTunes backup... They are not understanding people and this will become a nightmare.

Why is - this has changed? Maybe I'm missing something?

I didn't have a great day, I'm tired and I apologize in advanced for my ignorance.

    Thank you.

Due to the thinning app, apps are transferred is no longer the iPhone to the computer when you transfer data. The version of the app that you download on your phone is not the entire application, because it contains only what is required to operate on a particular model. This allows the application to take less space on a device.

You can manually download the applications previously downloaded to iTunes on your computer, as the automatic downloads will do that for you.

iTunes is always a full backup. A backup contains only data stored on each application, not the application itself. If you want to transfer to a new phone properly, you must have these apps already on the phone or in iTunes.

backups iCloud will avoid these problems.

This changed so that applications can take less space on your phone.

  • iTunes can't restore iphone because not enough free space is available on the iphone

    Hello

I used to have a 32 GB iPhone that I saved. Today, I have a newer iPhone is 16 GB. I'm trying to restore the last backup from the old to the new. I opened the backup from the Finder file and its size is 20 GB. How to remove the photos and videos that upward in order to reduce the size and get this backup on the new iPhone? Is there a way to tell iTunes restore backup without photos and videos?

You can not change the way that iTunes restores the backup of a unit. Since you now have a smaller device, you will not be able to restore the new feature of the older device. Your only choice would be to configure the device as new and then synchronize your content individually on the device, such as mail, contacts, calendar, etc...

  • Can not backup iPhone 5 or connect to cell phone applications

I've just updated to 9.3.1 9.2, thinking that Apple had solved all the problems reported with 9.3.  However, now my phone is not connecting to cellular telephone applications, siri does not work, and the phone will not save.  It works fine when connected to wifi, but once I leave the House, none of my apps won't work (letters of google maps, Facebook, apple, anything that requires cell, that's all!)  I made all the simple fixes that I have known and that you can find on the internet: restart button apple button and power off to restart, turn off cell phone and turn it back on, turn off wifi and turn it back on, reset the network, iCloud is disconnected settings and reconnect, deleted all my photos/reset the backup settings so there is a lot of storage on my cloud , is found on my head, turned left, and none of it worked.  I'm ready to reset all but without a backup, I'm afraid to lose all my contacts.  Anyway around this?

Does anyone else have this problem?  Suggestions and help that I have already mentioned above is welcome.  Thank you. Unhappy in Portland and the thought of Samsung is in my future.

Backup to iCloud only works in Wi - Fi, you can not use a cellular network connection to backup your phone to iCloud.

If the iCloud backup does not work, back up your phone to your computer using iTunes and set it back to factory settings, and then restore from that backup.

  • iTunes for iPad and iPhone PC backups 12.3 disappeared

I am running Windows 10 and iTunes 12.3 and have several previous backups of iPhones and iPads, with which I've never had a problem (well, there is always a problem, but not this one). Now iTunes can't find backups. They are in the folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup (about 10 of them), but the iTunes preferences > devices shows no backup on this computer. Why does iTunes pick this up? And why I can't navigate for them? (Duh... iTunes does not allow to browse your computer for backups. It's only for 12 years).

In addition, I did a backup of my computer, and the 'Back Up Now' and 'Restore backup' grayed out and the ' last backup: "said"your iPad has ever been saved on this computer. The backup is displayed in the folder above subsequently, but it does not save iTunes. I closed iTunes and rebooted. Still no backup device in the devices. And he always says "your iPad has never been saved on this computer", but it is nice enough to ask me if I want to make a backup. NO! I DON'T WANT TO MAKE A BACKUP! I JUST want TO HAVE ACCESS to THAT I just HAVE to!

I got since 4 iPhones and iTunes since the same time, and I've done several times. There has ALWAYS been some kind of problem. I've always hated this program, but you need if you want to get your Apple devices on your computer.

I think that iTunes would let you to browse for a backup. I use this program because I have to. Apple backups aren't really backups. iTunes backup of the operating system and applications (not all), but that's all. For me the backup is just that: a BACKUP. This means I save all THE data (or at least what I chose).

Whenever I have back up and restore my Apple devices, I make sure that I export all data from all applications (in other words, if they allow it even and not more) or I have to re - download all my data or books, songs, PDF files and whether, from the original place where I have purchased or downloaded. That means free books don't get supported.

I'm aware that I'm ranting, but I've always been frustrated by iTunes, because she is very small and has always been problematic. It is designed only to "purchases" commercial from Apple or other (perhaps) or for other commercial stuff, but never for your own personal use and I have a lot of personal data on my devices. iTunes DOESN'T backup the personal data. Of course, the program is free and a better program costs money, but even Windows provides a method for backing up my computer and I can back up everything of him, not only what Apple thinks is necessary.

If they have backed up everything on your backup device would take ages - I have a 128 GB iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad mini - cannot afford to have three back ups of around this waist sitting on my PC.  Regarding the Apps it back to the top of such things when you are in a game and your scores, but not the actual application (I noticed when I got my last iPhone Apps that worked on that I had and put back them on the camera, but they picked up my library, not from the back to the top).

You're not back up your iTunes library on the computer to make it there if necessary?  I do not use the cloud at all, I am doing everything via my PC (and have my laptop set in place with the same data backup in case of failure of the computer).  As we don't always have access to be able to download things if a device does not work (when ago far often data signal is very weak) I have never counted on the cloud even though I know that it suits a lot of people to use it.  Once the data is on my PC I have backup on an external hard drive.

By doing this you don't have to re - download anything, you simply drag and drop the back on your device.

  • ITunes can add images to mp3 created from vinyl record?

I created on a 1000 mp3 files (320 bps, 441hz) of the vinyl record.  Obviously, I can manually create images of these files individually but will take a while, so I was wondering if iTunes can automatically create.  I tried to select all the images in the library by getting album artwork, but it tells me the following statement just ' get album artwork requires you to connect to the iTunes Store using an identifier to Apple. " Please go to the iTunes Store and log in or create a new Apple ID. "I connected to itunes and he always tells me the same thing. Could someone point me in the right direction?  My files are saved on my mac.  Thank you very much

Yes, you can manually add a picture as the cover to any MP3 song in your iTunes library.  Source of origin has no importance.

The other issue is separate.  In current iTunes, go to the iTunes menu bar, and then click accounts.  The menu drops down.  At the top of the menu, if you are connected currently, your name and your Apple ID are displayed.  Do you see that?

If you are connected (and you see your name and your Apple ID), the menu bar

    File-> library-> Get Album Artwork

You don't need to have whatever it is selected in your library.  iTunes tries to get lack of the album artwork for songs in your library.  iTunes only 'creates' images.  iTunes album art search resource online, based on data from song and download all that is available and adds songs album art.  One (or more) songs will not match available album art.

  • "iPhone is disabled, connect to iTunes" AND "iTunes can not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a password" error message on the phone and the computer! Help!

So I recently had my password wrong too many times and my iPhone 4S locked out telling me "iPhone is disabled; Connect to iTunes'. And so I connected to iTunes and decided to restore my phone. I finished the process of restoration of the configuration of my phone, but ultimately, it was not even let me in the phone! Once AGAIN he said "iPhone is disabled; " Connect " to iTunes '. However, this time, this message appeared just when I turned on my phone with a black background. I didn't scan the screen for the error message is displayed (and there was no time to be shown). When I tried to connect to iTunes again as he asked, now it says "iTunes can not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a password".

So now, he said "iPhone is disabled; ' Connect to iTunes' on my iPhone 4S and ''iTunes can't connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a password ' on my computer. WHAT should I do?

As described in step 2 of "Erase your device with iTunes" in this article, you will need to use the Recovery Mode.

Recovery mode is described in this article as well.  You may try to go into recovery mode more than once to succeed.

  • iTunes can't find my music more

A previous version of iTunes apparently added that the chain of file://localhost/ to the path and now iTunes can't find music more. How can I fix the path for all of my songs without having to change each of them? I already copied the folder back entire iTunes Media from the NAS to a local drive (because I suspect that this is the underlying problem for iTunes) but this does not alter the path information. All the music is now stored on a local disk, but iTunes brand each song with an exclamation point.

The problem of 'missing file' with exclamation points occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl-I to get information, then click on no when asked to try to locate the runway. Look under the file tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music folder in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, or during playback of a track, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. Then, it can offer try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find titles in the same provision, artist / album, they were previously, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files, or the library was moved from OS X to Windows, then chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies it will be difficult to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is pregnant. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works. It may need some adjustments if your media is in a non-standard layout.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media under Edition folder > Preferences > advanced
    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location that begins file://localhost/
    3. The real path to the file which you gave 2 details

Note the addition of file://localhost/ and the reverse slashes (Windows only) is normal for a file that is not quite where iTunes is expected to find.

  • After restoring my computer and iTunes download, iTunes can not find my my music files.  They have to be in the specific format or a folder iTunes for a recognized?

I had to restore my computer from the ground upward.  I save my music files and then reloaded after the system restore.  Then, I downloaded the latest version of iTunes.  But apparently iTunes can't find my music restored files.  I use a 10 newly installed Windows.  Y at - it a particular format to place the music files should be put in order for iTunes to see.  Or maybe a procedure that I did not follow properly.  Please notify.  Thank you.

If you have registered to the iTunes library database files, launch iTunes with the SHIFT key is pressed and choose this library. If this isn't the case, slide the song files into the application window open iTunes or add it automatically in the iTunes folder.
