12 c on the repository server management agent does not start due to a failure of the system

My environment architecture for 12 c Cloud Control (used for the purpose of personal practice) can be explained as follows:

@DBSERVER: (OEL6.5, x 86-64)

-12 c Enterprise Manager Cloud Control (EMCC)

-Database 11.2.0.4 which acts as a repository for 12 c EMCC

Monitored host is on a virtual machine (VM12) which is currently in the DBSERVER:

VM12: (OEL6.5, x 86-64)

-12 c Management Agent which monitors host and database (12.1.0.1)

The server worked fine for months until recently when the computer has restarted abruptly. Abrupt restart has occurred several times in the past, but this time, he had a problem when restarting. The DBSERVER when a startup starts the SGC and the AGENT. WHO starts perfectly, but the AGENT does not start. On trying to start the agent, it displays the following error message:

[orcl11204g@dbserver bin] $. / emctl start agent

Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12 c Release 3

Copyright (c) 1996, 2013 Oracle Corporation.  All rights reserved.

Starting Agent... failed.

Manager of target failed to startup: targets.xml was rejected: loaded with a token incorrect agent

See emctl.log and emagent.nohup in: / home/u01/oemrel3/agent/agent_inst/sysman/log

[orcl11204g@dbserver bin] $

The targets.xml file contains the following information, which do not seem to be of any help:

[orcl11204g@dbserver emd] $ cat targets.xml

<? XML version = "1.0"? >

<>targets

< / objectives >

[orcl11204g@dbserver emd] $

Anyone can provide assistance in such circumstances?

The DBSERVER repository database, the auditor and the who are running, while the agent is down. VM12, listener and agent database is running. Is there another file that should be checked for more information?

--> $/ AGENT_INST/bin/emctl stop agent

If the agent does not stop is free then kill all the background process agent first grepping for agent perl and java process only

--> Move your existing target.xml file

MV target.xml target.xml.old

--> Create an empty file targets.xml under/AGENT_INST/sysman/MDTs with the below content

--> Start the agent of

$AGENT_INST/bin/emctl start agent

That starts agent but without all the targets in targets.xml

To the discovery of targets saw agent console resynchronization

  • VMware Server 2 VM does not start due to problems of Hyper-V

I ran Hyper-V and wanted to move to VMware. I downloaded VMware Server 2 to test because it's free (until we start with real solutions VMware).

So I installed VMware parallel with Hyper-V (remove role, install vmware, install the role), converted all virtual machines Hyper-V with VMware Converter and removed Hyper-V (remove all virtual machines, remove the Hyper-V server, stop services, remove role, restart).

Now I run VMware Server, start a virtual machine and get this error:

"VMware Server and Hyper-V are not compatible. You must remove the role Hyper-V on your system before running VMware Server. »

  • Install the new FDMEE 11.1.2.4 - ODI Agent does not start

After the installation and configuration of EMP 11.1.2.4, components (including the FDMEE) on a Windows 2008 (single-server installation), I ran diagnosis of EPM system and found the only test that failed was to the Agent of ODI.

ODI Agent availability check: http://server1:6550 / oraclediagent

Error: com.hyperion.cis.utils.BadResponseCodeException: bad response with the GET method code: 404

Recommended action: check the application of the FDM Enterprise Edition is started and the database schemas exist.

FDMEE and all the other components of the EMP seem to work and open in the workspace.  The only problem is that ODI Agent will not start.  Re-installation and configuration of FDMEE has not fixed this problem.  I also tried to start manually in the WebLogic administration server, but it has not started and I found the following error in ErpIntegrator0.log.

During my research of these errors, I found results indicating the problem could be related to multiple NIC cards or enforceable, but I don't know if this is the reason of my problem and how to check it.  Any help would be appreciated!

In your case, it seems that the list of the WKA is formed using the IP 127.0.0.1 loopback address but consistency has bound to the IP address of 10 points. Finally, make sure that they match so that ODI Agent can start, but given that it's a DHCP box you well then that tends to add another layer of complication.

What we tend to do in support with DHCP boxes to avoid problems with name resolution is to simulate a static IP address by adding a loopback adapter (google, you can add a loopback adapter Server 2008 for instructions) with a static IP address (I often use smth like setting IPv4 10.10.10.10 (, netmask 255.255.255.0 & no gateway) then add an entry to the hosts file to map the IP address for the host name of the host name for example, 10.10.10.10

You must make sure that the host name resolution works as expected in Java according to this link as well (which I think is why we go to the "loopback hack" first place in support): https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/epm_install/frameset.htm?ch06s02s01.html

I would start by looping config tbh as I remember seeing someone with a box of AWS, earlier when helping a colleague where host name resolution was not working with that tool and they had problems with the Agent of ODI.

  • Windows does not start due to a lack or corrupt the file "\windows\system32\config\system.

    Original title: problems with \windows\system32\config\system.

I met a now well-known problem where Windows will not start due to missing or corrupt file "\windows\system32\config\system" now, I have read articles about how to solve the problem but they all involve some kind of recovery cd while I use a Toshiba Mini NB205-N312/BL and have the cd player.  Any help to find a solution to this problem by using a usb key would be very appreciated.

    Hi Ickido,

You have the disc to install Windows with you?

If you do not have the Windows XP installation disk, I recommend you to make arrangements for a disc that is the same edition as it is installed on your machine.

Subsequently, try performing a manual system restore by following this link.

How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • ESX does not error - Host Server Agent does not start

    Hello

I got an error on one of my ESX host in VC. The message "did not".

7 VM are currently connected to this host and they seem to all run normally.

I was able to connect to the host command line, but was a bit of difficulty in processing orders, they seem to cling. (ex: vmware-cmd - l does not give me an answer...)

So I tried to restart the service mgmt-vmware:

VMware ESX Server Host Agent Watchdog

    VMware ESX Server host agent

    This is where to stop.

I also tried just stop the service (mgmt-vmware stop) and he still gets that far.

Are their other commands that I might be able to run to retrieve this host in the VC?

I will not re-start rather host it running production servers.

    Thank you

I had this problem today with one of our ESX host. If you are running:

ps - ef | grep vmware - pass

    You should see something like:

    root 3545 3504 1 11:40?        00:00:12 / usr/lib/vmware/hostd/vmware-hostd /etc/vmware/hostd/config.xml u

You can kill the process of:

    Kill - 9 < PID > (e.g. kill 3545-9)

Then you should be able to restart the service mgmt-vmware . In fact, if you are already trying to restart the service, he will suddenly hit by action. I do not know what causes this, but it will not affect your running virtual machines.

    I hope this helps.

    @ brooon:
While the suggestion of man will not help you directly (you have Home Premium, have no GPEdit), you can always check the registry keys that are affected by the policies mentioned.
(GPEdit is a nice interface to various registry settings, anyway.)

Take a look at the following keys:

    HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaCenter\MediaCenter

    HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaCenter\MediaCenter

    A 0 = MC ValueData can work; 1 = MC is disabled.

Standard WARNING: improper modification of the Windows registry can have consequences and can prevent your system become unbootable (possibly requiring a reinstallation of the operating system.)  Be careful!!!

Don't change anything here yet.  It just open regedit and take a look at these two keys.  If they are there, after the ValueData displayed.  If they aren't there, after that they aren't there.

  • Agent does not start on server HQ

    Hello
I have the HQ server running on a RHEL 3 box, version 2.6.22. I can't the agent starts on. Error I get is as follows:-

    Hyperic] # agent-2.6.22/hq-agent.sh start
    Starting Agent
    -Call agent
    -From agent process
Agent call error: Agent failed startup
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.
    Joan

It looks like the agent was perhaps copied from elsewhere?  The
Agent has been configured previously to another host.  Follow these steps:

1 stop the agent and ensure that all processes of agent java died.
2 remove the data directory in the installation of the agent.
    3. delete the files agent.log and agent.log.startup.
    3 start the agent.

If this still fails, post here the content of the agent.log.startup.

  • The Management Agent is not configured correctly. How should I do?

    Hello

We have a number of constraints to exploit our SGD server:

    1. SGC is not connected to the internet.
    2. We do not have a user of the host, or a tunnel ssh configured.

I sent an agent manually using agentDeploy.sh, but I encountered a problem with the stage of the officer course (I had the wrong password).

The deployment of the agent stopped there. So, I went to ensure the agent manually.

However, I see that I have no plugins installed. I continued as another deployment, , but it's where I reached my limit::

    ./emcli deploy_plugin_on_agent -agent_names="pdbhost01.company.net:3872" -plugin="oracle.sysman.db"
    Prerequisites check failed
    For agent : https://pdbhost01.company.net:3872/emd/main/
The Management Agent is not configured properly. The required host target is not found.

I was wondering if it was possible to:

    1. Continue the configuration of the agent: what would the step set up the target host?
    2. Re-install the agent: what should I do to uninstall it, since I can't do OEM?

    Thank you.

You are right. SGD is installed correctly.
We have installed a RAC recently and I'm working on obtaining controlled put up for her.

It took me some time to find the document to help me with this particular problem. It comes to keywords!

That's what helped me to goback on track:

EM 12: Plugin on the deployment Agent of reports 'Agent is incorrectly configured. Requested property not found. "(Doc ID 1541823.1)

I can a little more that necessary, since these steps, I deleted then deleted repository of the WHO agent_inst agent and ran emcli with the Configonly option. As follows:

    $/sysman/install/agentDeploy.sh AGENT_BASE_DIR = OMS_HOST = EM_UPLOAD_PORT = AGENT_REGISTRATION_PASSWORD 14511 example.com = 2bornot2b - configOnly

Thank you for your response and time ODatabse_Guy.

I just installed 24.6 and used the 'import' of Eudora. Everything seemed to move pretty well, but I can't understand the ' sent to '. I tried in "manage identities", does not. The problem is you answer a list of mail and thunderbird wants to insert my dominant addy instead of the address who sent the original e-mail. It is a problem when the identity must be subscribed/registered.

He does not do it every time, sometimes it inserts the correct answer "from". Cannot make sense.

Something to do with the import?

something to do with where you are in the folder hierarchy.

This account will be the default SMTP is used when the selected account is unknown, so if you have a list of e-mail account and move them e-mails in local folders to the selected SMTP server will be the value by default, where as if you are in the folder of the account the SMTp response. It goes the same for identities.
