12-inch MacBook load chime

Hello, everyone.

I recently got a new 12 inch Macbook (early 2015). Up to now, every time I have connected with the charging cable for it to charge it would make this carillon which is made also on iPhone and iPad. However, two days ago, when I put it to charge, it would not do the sound of the chime. The volume is up.

I'm starting to be scared because it might be a problem with the speakers.

Thank you very much!!

There is a startup chime when you feed first on the Macbook. But I never heard on a chime when just plug the magsafe power cord. She also starts up when you do this? If you can play the music in Itunes and hear the speakers are fine.

https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/ - Apple has determined that a small percentage of the MacBook Pro systems may show the distorted video, no video or unexpected system restarts. These MacBook Pro systems have been sold between February 2011 and December 2013.

  • Is it possible to upgrade the trackpad in my mid-2012 13-inch MacBook Pro to the touchpad by force?

I would add the 3D button or touchpad of my mid-2012 13-inch Macbook Pro. I know that you can upgrade from things such as the hard drive and ram. But I can do the same thing with the trackpad?

No, but the new version of the external trackpad is designed for ElCapitan, it can be used.  New version of the external wireless keyboard works also with ElCapitan.

Just, don't wait these external devices to work at lowest ElCapitan.

  • Low autonomy of 12-inch MacBook?

I just bought a new 12 inch Macbook last month and one of the things I remember was a good feature was it's the great autonomy.  I have owned Apple laptops for years, a 12-inch Powerbook, 2 of Macbook Air, and Macbook Pro 5...  So I know a thing or two about them.  My new Macbook's battery life is horrible.  I understand it is not meant to be a powerhouse, but I can't seem to get two hours out of it.  Since I started writing this question, it is increased from 88% to 86%.  I took it off the charger an hour ago and have been on it for about 20 minutes to do nothing other than browsing the web.  Is that what everybody knows? I have about 5 days more on my back window and I don't know if I want to return or Exchange it.  If it's just a defective device, I'll change it.  If that's what everyone is done, I'm going back.  A few comments would be greatly appreciated.  Oh, and now I fell to 84%.

That has not been my experience. Try this app: http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/

If you have a problem, take it back to an Apple store, make first a Genius Bar appointment online. They will be able to run diagnostics on it.

  • 11 - inch MacBook Air battery compatibility

    Hi guys!

I have an old end 2010 11 inch MacBook Air. Is it possible to replace this laptop battery with a battery from a newer model with a higher capacity?

Obviously, the laptop has is no longer guaranteed, so I'm not afraid to experiment.

I would be grateful links to manuals, tutorials, guides, etc.. Thank you in advance!

I wouldn't do it.  Note the spare batteries available on the website of OWC:

    https://eShop.MacSales.com/search/battery+MacBook

They have a specific battery of 2010, then a different battery for 2012 and newer models.  It is fair to say that they are different.

OWC also has instructions for Setup here:

    http://eShop.MacSales.com/installvideos/macbook_air_11_2010/

    Ciao.

  • If the display is off on 12-inch macbook, he's asleep?

I have a macbook pro and a 12-inch macbook. The macbook pro has a standby light that throbs on and off you say he's asleep. 12-inch macbook doesn't have this light. In addition, in the energy saving settings, there no option to put the computer to sleep, only to turn off the screen. So, should I infer that if the screen is off, and then the computer sleeps? Or will simply not sleep (perhaps because it has solid state drive: my macbook pro doesn't have a solid state drive - don't know if that makes a difference or not)? Or must it go to sleep but I will not be able to necessarily mean?

If you choose to put a MacBook to sleep, the screen turns off. It's normal.

  • Bootcamp on end 2011 17-inch MacBook Pro

    Hi all

I have a 17-inch, late 2011 Macbook Pro and tried to install Windows (8.1 or 10) but the video and audio drivers (Bootcamp 5.1.5621) do not work. I had to disable the driver Intel HD 3000 completely and the remaining Rageon of AMD HD 6770 m doesn't seem to work properly (Device Manager has marked with an exclamation point). The sound card drivers (Realtek, I think) will not work. What I don't understand is why there should be any problems if you use the drivers supplied officially by Apple, because they have been there for a while now.

    Anyone with similar problems? Solutions?

You use BC Assistant and physics DVD installation without manual interruption to run?

  • 13-inch or 15-inch Macbook Pro?

Hello, I am currently in high school and I'm looking for a laptop to use for the class as well as in college. I'm in a film class where I edit videos quite frequently and plan to study film at the College as well. I would especially use it publishing, web and maybe some light games here and there. Low intensity after effects rendering, etc., but I can do some in the future. I am deciding between the top model 13 inch with 16 GB of ram upgrade, or the base model 15 inch. I know the 15-inch is more powerful, but the RAM would improve in the 13-inch enough to compensate for? I love the small 13-inch form factor and fear that the 15 inches may be too big to use at school and in public places. Which would be best for me? Thank you!

    Uninstall this software:

    Sophos AV

    GitHub and OSXFuse

    Carabiner

    CREDANT shield/Crypto

    SektionEins driver and SUIDGrardNG

One or more are at the origin of the crash. Start by removing Sophos. Since the graphics family is one of the problems, don't forget to remove anything you have installed which would be new for your use of the GPU.

Be sure to use any uninstaller provided with the software. Something that comes with an uninstaller uninstall not manually.

  • QI load chime - how to disable?

    Hi gang,.

I do not remember my Turbo never make a tinkling sound when placed on my IQ load pad, or when new last November, after the last 2 updates, after that I received a replacement in March phone.

However, as part of my troubleshooting since 5.1 of the battery life, I decided to make an FDR today and now my doing telephone a noise pealing whenever I place it on the keyboard and I can't find any option to turn on/off sound volume notifications seems not to affect it.

So it becomes wondering... in addition to silencing the chime, is perhaps a clue to my battery woes? That somehow, the initial version that delivered with (was 4.4.2?) to 4.4.4 to 5.1 my load was somehow not the same as it is when you make a right FDR 5.1? Maybe this related to anecdotal reports that IQ limit load somehow slowly autonomy max, and with an FDR, she perceives differently if it is upgraded to 5.1?

    Thanks for your help,

    Matt

I don't know any way to disable either. I'm sorry. I listen to it every night when I put my phone on charge Qi touches as well. It is not as bad as it use to be on other phones. It can be very strong and unpleasant. Not so much anymore. I wouldn't mind being able to disable that option as well.

  • Try to get a new battery for A1189 for a 17 inch MacBook Pro 2008

Need a new battery for my MacBook 2008 Pr A1189, cannot find them on the Apple Store and not those who are genuine available elsewhere that I can find it, a lot of one on Amazon etc, but they are safe and reliable?

Apple stopped making batteries for these years. There are many piles of counterfeit around, showing most on auction sites, but I've seen a few reports here of them bought on Amazon.

  • These SSD options would be compatible with my Early 2011 13 inch Macbook pro?

    Hello

My mac I'm really slow so I decided to buy an SSD, but I can't be sure if it is compatible with my mac. SSDS are super expensive in my country, I just have to be sure before buying.

    TECHNICAL DATA:

Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5

    RAM: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics 3000

    13-inch, early 2011

    My SSD options:

    MX300 crucial 250 GB

    Samsung 750 EVO 250 GB

    Samsung 750 EVO 120 GB

    Thank you.

If you want a definitive answer, contact the technical support from the manufacturer.  The general rule is, if the SSD is identical to a HARD SATA 2.5 form factor ", it will work in your MBP.

    Ciao.
