  My problem is auto connect with Lenovo bio excess. I have Yahoo as my homepage and am usually automatically connected when I connect. Initially, I pass my finger on finger print reader, everything works fine and I am automatically loged in my various web sites, which I had already registered in the system of bio-excess. However, after a short time, the little newspaper logo does not appear on the upper left corner on my screen. There are moments where I slide my finger anyway, and the logo then appears and sign me in, but usually not.

• B50-30 Lenovo BIOS corrupted after update bios

  Well I could not enter the bios to install boot priority, tried everything I could, all, I thrust.

  And I was trying to update the bios as I thought that won't let me access it and looks like it has been corrupted.

  To get this message:

  "Default Boot Device missing or startup failed.

  Insert the recovery media and press a key

  "The Boot Manager, select choose a new boot device or to initiate a recovery media.

  But I can not find a solution how to creaqte windows 8 recovery media coz I can't access my windows 8 more.

  And I can't access bios by pressing f2 or f8 or f12 or delete!

• White screen on Satellite M40-129 with no BIOS access

  OK, I really tried a lot of things to find out what it may be.
  When I start the laptop it seems to start, but the rest black screen (AC + Power lights up, but no disk HARD-light).
  I tried several times, even with ESC + on and F2 + now and 50 only once I could see the splash screen.
  He was there for several minutes and nothing happened. So I decided to try it again... and Im yet to try.

  Support told me there is a problem with the bios, but since I can't access what it is, I can't update the bios.
  I tried with an external monitor, with or without battery, with and without the HARD drive (bios must be accessible without).
  Always with the same result.
  And as these things always happen after the expiration of the warranty.

  The hardware seems to work (ok once a lot) and for strange behavior, I wonder if anyone had a similar experience or has a tip for me.

  One of my friends has Satellite M40 and it's very nice for laptop. If possible try to connect your laptop to external monitor and just turn it on. It will be interesting to know if it works or not. If so, I assume that the display is faulty.

  Whenever I have start the Lenovo settings wonder if it could access the webcam and microphonre. It might, but I'm tired of saying things so each time I have start the settings of Lenovo. Can I put this kind of a place permanently?

  It is not with the build 9926, but again, it of broken and responds as soon as menu is selected.

• Cannot install bios access from win 8

  HP Touchsmart tm2 laptop and although age has officially supported, was able to install Windows 8.0 but now cannot move to 8.1 Windows because I can't boot from the CD/DVD or USB flash drive.

  The store Windows says that my 8.0 cannot be updated to 8.1 via the shop, so I want to do a fressh 8.1 installation and have purchased the software and the key.  But I can't get the laptoip to boot on the USB CD/DVD or a USB flash drive (or even a floppy disk)

  Since the installation of 8.0, when the computer starts, a HP logo appears, but there is no option to enter the BIOS setup or to specify the boot sequence.   I have no reason to believe that I changed the boot sequence, so there should resemble any of these external devices first, but this is not (there's a brief access to the CD/DCD, but it goes to start with the hard drive).

  It seems that Win 8.0 installation has done something in the BIOS.  Have tired etc. ESC, F2, F10, Del, F6 during the boot process, even if the messages do not appear.   Maybe I could reflash the BIOS?  Or is it an executable I could run wtining Win 8.0 to access the BIOS, otherwise I'm stuck.

  Was able to get. Window very tight to get into the boot on this computer compared to other menu that I worked.  Configuration via USB seems continues normally.

  I already installed Win 8.1 on a HP TouchSmart300 desktop model and found that the microphone does not (confirmed elsewhere in this forum).  Using a wirelss headset Plantroincs has proved a good solution.  Anticipating I could met the same problem on the laptop.  Now soon.

  You probably start enabled secure, simply go into the bios and disable that and you should be ok.

• UEFI BIOS access, change Boot Drive order to SSD - arrgghhh

  810 new - 170st.  Added a Samsung 840EVO SSD.

  The intention for SSD as boot drive.

  Ran Wizard Samsung, software data Migration run. All successful.

  Cannot access bios to change the boot drive order.

  You also have to switch to ACHI mode for full implementation of the DSS.

  When I click to enter advanced settings the icon records the click... nothing happens.

  I understand that I must go through the UEFI

  VERY frustrating.

  Hey Dean.  Thanks for the note.  Not sure that I can accurately describe the nightmare of everything but I will try.

  BIOS would repeatedly freeze mode back or vertical menu.  I only had 2 minutes to make a change.

  The factory setting was also Raid!  With a single disk.  Superb.

  He spent two hours on the phone with technical support in the East. First call spent 1/2 hour then had massive language issues. Then bad attitudes and after having finally got a supervisor on the phone, he yelled at me because I added an SSD as if I had the nerve, which makes the system that I wanted it to be.  VERY unprofessional.

  Result: Finally got BIOS to work by unplugging everything including power supply, keyboard/mouse USB and network.  Pressed the power button / stop for 10 seconds.  It resets the BIOS.

  Still wouldn't see the new SSD as boot however drive.

  After shouting by the controller to support, so I finally did what I should have done 2.5 hours earlier.

  I made records.  Pulled the battery and under BIOS.  Unplugged the HARD drive, installed the SSD, and factory reinstalled the system on the SSD.  Taken from the HARD drive, formatted, it on my HARD drive and reinstalled duplicator.

  End result...?  Works like a monkey violated today.

  Just be aware when you reset the BIOS like this, at the start, the fan of the machine runs at high speed for 1 to 2 minutes.  Looks like one of my 2900 quad-processor poweredge servers!  Then he stops, restarts at a more normal speed of fan and all is well.  I mention this so that someone can think that the machine is about to take off like a Lear jet!

  You can access the data without flash remoting. Use and application like CF, php or ASP even middleware and format the data in XML format. Then connect to the data via an HTTPRequest or XML object, and then import the data.

  No need to Flash Remoting unless you need to communicate complex objects between Flex and the server.
