15R247TU: best way to reload HP laptop

Hello

I have a new 15R247TU - Core i3 (5th generation), Win 8 pro

with 4-cell Li-ion 2620mAh. I want to know the best ways to recharge my cell phone under options.

1. keep pluged & fully loaded all the time when using.

2. load up to 100%, and then to detach from the a/c, use until the message of recharge to 5-15%, and then recharge it completely.

I read almost everywhere in the forums, but I couldn't get a clear idea yet. I want just a simple & clear solution.

[Currently my HP is not 1 month from purchase. I use "Balanced mode" most of the time. It remains up to 5-6 hours on battery after a full charge, even with Photoshop or in Visual Studio running.]

Hello:

Please consult this HP guide for life the most out of the battery.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook e101sp 17: best way to charge 10 Windows with the laptop HP software (post regularly update 8.1-> 10)

My HP Pavilion 17 - e101sp Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) came with preinstalled Windows 8.1. I later upgraded to Windows 10.

Although I had Norton Internet Security installed since the bootups earlier, I still have some virus infections from time to time (discovered through runnin ClamAV from a Linux Debian partition, I put in place on the same computer) laptop. After the expiration of the 1 year subscription NIS (I had lost confidence in it right here...) I played around with a few other sollutions.

In the end, I now have a Windows essentially not fixable (infected) 10. It's not scary for me because Linux is my main OS 'at home' for 15 years now. However, being the standard Windows "de facto" is it much, I still would like to have a copy of own work, installed.

My question is, in the current scenario, as I mentioned, which of the two is the best way to have 10 Windows installed with all the goodies of HP, alongisde, my Debian Linux system? And what care I would create throughout the process?

1 reinstall 8.1 can I leave HP recovery disks that I made at the beginning (and hope that does not erase the Linux partitions, I created afterwards - I need more than "hope" in fact, I need evidence-based knowledge on this one!). And then upgrade to Windows 10.

2 install a Windows 10 fees (from DVD created from the .iso file downloaded from Microsoft), hoping that it activates properly with the key contained in the UEFI BIOS (I think that this 'hope' is pretty much made to knowledge database) and then get all the goodies of HP... by a simple download from the HP site?

I think option 2 is the safest (and fastest also!) but I'd well informed comment before that I have try.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

Option 1 is the only way you will get to keep the programs provided HP with your PC, and they reformat the hard drive, so you will lose everything.

Option 2 will put a clean install of W10 on your C:\Drive and you will be able to leave everything intact, unless you format the hard drive.

If your current installation of W10 has been successfully activated, W10 will automatically activate once you install it again once you're connected to the internet.

To install W10 in this way, you select the "I don't have a product key option,' when you get to when Windows asks for the prouduct key.

The only software and you will be able to install the drivers which will be available on the page of the driver and support for your laptop.

  • Best way to generate a PWM for a stint with LabView2010 and a laptop

    Hello

as mentioned in the title, I'm looking for the best way to generate a PWM signal to a relay. I want to use a laptop computer and the LabView2010 for she. I have read through several topics, but after a time that he just got more confused. For example the NI USB-6008 OEM case seems to be a solutiion at low prices, but I don't know if I can use for the generation of PWM signals like this thread says is not possible:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/Multifunction-DAQ/using-PWM-on-NI-6008/m-p/231860/highlight/true#M13339

But then again this thread right here makes it seem as if it was doable:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/Digital-I-O/generating-a-PWM-using-USB-6008/m-p/421654/highlight/true#M5527

    Once again in abbreviated form.

    What I need:

-the best way to generate a PWM signal to control a relay

    What I have so far:

    -LabView2010

    -Laptop

If possible, it would be good to have two channels for two separate signals, but it is more low importance right now.

    Hey Kambra,.

The first thread you mention is correct, you can't make output PWM in any deterministic mode with a 6008. The 6008 is strictly software timed, which means that each digital writing that is done in the unit must go through the operating system and down to the device. And there is a lot of jitter of the involved BONE. The second article you mention says the same thing. They emphasized that they could reduce the jitter of some, but still can not remove it entirely. In the second thread, they mention using a M-series USB device do output PWM deterministic (timed material).

The compromise really down to your application and its requirements. If your application to control the relay requires no determinism, then you can use the 6008. If you need precise control over the relay, try the USB M series.

  • What is the best way to protect against keyloggers, monitoring tools, remote access, or whatever it is that allows someone else to access my laptop? ___

    History:

Recently, I've had my laptop taken in charge and had to spend the money to have everything removed and reinstalled XP. I don't want it to happen again.

    Currently, I installed the following:

    • Ad-Aware
    • SUPERAntiSpyware
    • Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
    • Spybot - Search & destroy
    • Command AntiVirus
    • Sygate Personal Firewall

    The question:

I'm still not convinced that I am protected. Most likely because I'm not.
An Ad-Aware scan found a tool called "Win32.Monitor.SpyBuddy".
a few days only after reinstalling XP. There are probably more.
I don't know that he even went. It just says: its been "Quarantined" and there is no option to remove it.

Basically, I just want to know that my computer is protected from keyloggers, monitoring, & people tools remote access to my laptop. And I don't want to spend more money.
How to achieve this?  An answer would be GREATLY appreciated.

Do not try to rationalize anything. Just tell you what I know and I hope that I will find the absolute best way to keep keyloggers, tools of surveillance, & virus off my laptop in the process.

You have been very helpful and I thank you.

  • What is the best way to create a backup external to the files from my laptop?

What is the best way to create a backup external for my laptop files which may be about 40 GB +.

There are a few utilities in Windows that will help you to back up data. Consult the following link:

There are many third party tools that will help you to do so. Here's a free:

I have a compaq laptop with 140 MB of memory. The hard disk is almost full. I want to buy an external memory but don't know much about them, or if it's the best way to go.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Dave, I used CCleaner for many years.

The way I used it, was to PERFORM the "cleaner" 3 times. Until the last race... happens, with 'o bytes. "

Then, on the option 'Registry '.

Yes, with the "register" option, too. "' With NO disaster! And, with the choice of NOT make backup copies, when you are prompted to do so.

Same process run, too, until it says: "no problem found"!

Are passed to the Glary Utilities, lately. It's a good program better, to find errors 440... to his 1st round.

He did trying to mess up my computer? NO!

It works better, because I DID used the program "Glary Utilities".

There are 6 'process' to run on the logon page, it is unchecked, check it and you get a thorough 'cleaning '. There are more options available with this program it is with CCleaner, use "at your own risk!

Who I am still 'in progress' to be, is, the REMOVAL of "Duplicate Files". As I don't want to delete the ITEMS, in this case, it removes EVERYTHING and causes HAVOC with my computer.

CCleaner does NOT have this option.

    Once I have understand, I well a machine "squeaky-clean".

  • The best way to travel in order to bring the laptop images

I have lightroom on a laptop and desktop system

EM. Wonder about the best way to put the photos I take while traveling to desktop system without losing data lightroom.

On both computers, I keep photos in folders by date.

In the past, I just copied the files of the laptop and then imported these files in the catalog of lightroom on desktop.

Is there a way to tell lightroom to take the lightroom for mobile phones catalog info and import them into the one on the desktop?

I save metadata (xmp or jpg files) images after having been edited so I know who get most (all?) of the catalog info when I just copy the photos on the desktop and then import it.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    Paul,

I would like to keep a structure of the same folders on the laptop and the desktop (not necessarily the same drive letters, but the same structure). Then I would be:

    • Copy the image files from the laptop to the desktop
    • By using the catalog office, do an import of the catalog to the mobile catalog
      • Use "add new photos to catalog without moving.
    • If the drive letters containing the original match, it's all there is to it
    • If drive letters containing the originals do not match, all you have to do is 'Find missing folder' on the top-level only imported folder

    Beat

    PS:

    • No need to write the XMP data, because it does contain all the information anyway catalog (virtual copies, collections, flags, fireplaces,...).
    • Please note that the parameters of published services NOT imported when you import the catalog.

  • Best way to back up my laptop hard drive?

I save all my projects/records LPX on a 2 TB external hard drive.

What is the best and I hope that the best way to save this 3 TB external hard drive on a second hard drive?

    Thank you

    Jerry

Do you want to be a second backup or you simply want to move to the larger disk? The quickest way would very probably be use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone one to another. If you want it to be different from other data store you on the largest disk (not recommended), then you will need to create a separate partition for backup to disk with greater capacity.

You can also clone volumes using restore in disk utility.

    1. Open utility disk from the Applications\utilitaires folder.
    2. Select the volume target in the list on the left.
    3. Click the restore in the main window of disk utility.
    4. Select again the volume target in the list aside and drag it into the Destination field.
    5. Select the volume of the Source of the list aside and drag it to the Source domain.
    6. Click Restore.
  • best way to back up files

Hello! Until recently, I've been using my Mac OS X for personal use. Internet and photos about. Now, I have a business and am trying to learn to fully use my laptop in support of my business. I downloaded the El Capitan and were a bit lost because, as I'm learning. I just bought an IPAD PRO and learn how to use this as well. I just downloaded via ITunes a few books that I read and request same "El Capitan for Dummies" library to read.

What is the best way to back up files? Should I get an external hard drive? If so, which should I expect? Recently, I signed up for the $0.99 per month ICLOUD and thought that it is a return to my files (files containing work etc.) but think that this is not the case after a lot of research?

    Please advise! Thank you!

For your iPad Pro, you can use iCloud for make backups-> How to back up your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support

For your Mac, iCloud Drive allows you to store all the files you want on iCloud outside your peripheral storage space, so that you can access your files on all devices. However, you cannot make a backup of your Mac on iCloud (it would take a lot of time and storage), so in this case, you will need to get an external drive. The easiest way is to make backups of your files with Time Machine, included in OS X-> use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support

Time Machine makes automatic backups of everything on your OS X partition, so you won't have to worry about manual backups. There are also other third party applications and services to make backups too.

  • What is the best way to ensure that there is no virus

    Hi guys,.

    Thanks for your reply,
I believe that my laptop has a virus or spyware. It is slow and take ages to get up. Also during the use of internet Explorer is very slow in browsing the internet.

During the use of msn chat voice sometimes it freezes.

What is the best way to be sure that there are no viruses.
I already have Norton 2007 with the last update.

    Thank you

    Hello

    > What is the best way to ensure that there are no viruses?

The best way is to use an Antivirus application and some Anti-malware and Trojan applications.
You already use the Norton Antivirus program. It is very good. Remember that this application is always up-to-date.
Additionally, you could install Adaware. It is freeware tool and it scans your operating system for malware.

But the virus or malware is not always a reason for a BONE of freezing.
Please check your processes that are run in the context of the BONE. You can also use the application called CNettoyez.
It scans you BONES of this situation and repair the registry.

    Maybe it helps

  • Satellite U405 - what is the best way to battery life increases

    Hello world!

I searched for it a little and everything I could find are contradictory answers and some confusing instructions... :)
Even the PDF for my U405 has some conflicting advice (it is recommended to completely discharge or not?)

I'm trying not to remove it and store it with a charge of 40% in a situation of low temperature (?) because I also trust him as a UPS (power cuts are common to sleep).

So, in short, what is the best way to prolong my life from the battery to its maximum? Should I fully discharge once a month or only to half way through? Should he ever be completely loaded, or which is actually a good thing?

Thanks in advance for any wisdom that anyone can offer on that!

    David

The best way would be to put it out of the laptop, but you already said, you don't do that.
So I say to completely discharge the battery from time to time and load it to the maximum.

That's all I can tell you right now, but don't know how much it will increase the battery life.

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 5: what is the best way to extend our battery

    Hi there everyone,

I hope you are all good, I kindly need to know what is the best way by which we can extend the battery from our PC, I had a friend who apparently frustrated because his laptop battery is almost dead then that PC disconnected electricity; It gives him only five minutes and the beep starts.

I think she always used his laptop plugged into the electricity, not frequent unloading / loading the battery and yet, I really appreciate it if you guys out there (blessed) could help me maintain my and his of (she bought a new battery lol) batteries.

Note: My Satellite A200 - 1 M 5 gives me 2.45 minutes after 4 months and I'm happy with that, I turn on my laptop disconnected to power (releases) often, but I feel that I can't explain or help others to look after your laptop battery.
    Thanks a million in advance

Why we can not find the information seen on the Toshiba site maintenance?
    Maybe we didn't get!

    Hello

I think you're right research you didn t on the Toshiba page quite long ;)

I have consulted the European Toshiba support page and selected in the troubleshooting category option-> Solutions to common problems.

There I found the battery category, and then I found this article:

    * + How to configure my computer for optimal use of battery? + *
    http://www.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD5400Z60005R01.htm

It looks like an old FAQ document in any case the fact is that all batteries lose own performance after several times several years ago, it is advisable to remove the battery from the laptop to extend the battery life. This is not necessary with the new battery and generation of laptops.

However, many people remove the battery if the laptop works on sector (power adapter connected) This prevents the battery of standing of the charge and discharge.
