  Hello

  We will soon be moving on ESX3.5 45 virtual machines on the same network to ESX4.0 on another network.  What is the best/best way to move these files?  The original network, the files are stored locally on the server and run ESX3.5i.  However, on the other network, data warehouses are on a San and the ESX hosts are in a cluster.  Both networks are in the same physical location and can meet.  I guess I can do it from the CLI of in ESX?

  If you have two hosts in vCenter Server, you can move the virtual machines without Storage vMotion (Powered-off VMs).
  It is not necessary that both hosts have access to the San using cold migration.

  Hello mws_1984, this will remove all unwanted files, but it will remove many of them.

  You could try to go into start, computer and select the C: drive, right click and click Properties, select disk cleanup.

  A screen will appear that shows some files being deleted and then you will see another screen that shows some features that are available for withdrawal. Check the items that you want to remove or clear the items you want to leave.

  I am running win 7 ultimate.  I had two hard drives of 500 GB.  C is partitioned to 120 GB (not enough) I just installed a 1.5 terabyte drive.  What is the best way to transfer my data?   Consider transferring all the files that are currently in the second partition of 500 GB drive that is hosting the C: drive (you have referred to as D :) on the new drive.

  Once you have done this, you can then delete the D: partition since this 1 hard drive. This would then extend the C: drive to actually use all the 500 GB drive. Finally change the drive letter for the 1.5 terabyte disk d: it in disk management ( Diskmgmt.mscRun)

  So in the end you have a 500 GB C drive and a 1.5 TB drive D.

  When it comes to move libraries Windows has a utility to do it for you. If you click on your username at the top right of the menu start all your user profile directories are displayed. If you right-click on each one and select Properties, those that support this feature will have a tab 'location '. In this tab, it displays the current location of the file, but has a button "move". You move the folder and all its files and subfolders in a new location and update the references, the system uses for this folder.

  So if you created a folder on the D drive say 'Juli-year' and you right-click on Favorites, some properties, then on location you can move this summary folder in C:\Users\username\Favourites to D:\Juli-An\Favourites. Not all folders in the user profile supports this but all the c library files and a few others.

  Of course if you did as I suggested and ended with a 500 GB C drive you may need.

  This device is not listed as compatible with iMovie 10 (iMovie support cameras - Apple Support)

  so, you will probably need to remove the SD card in the device and plug it into an SD card reader (if there is not one already built-in to your Mac).  You can then import the clips here.  XAVC-S format used by the camera is supported by the latest version of iMovie (10.1.2) that requires El Capitan.  I'm not sure whether 10.0.8 done.  If this isn't the case, Google search will reveal a number of apps that claim to do a conversion.

  Do you want to be a second backup or you simply want to move to the larger disk? The quickest way would very probably be use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone one to another. If you want it to be different from other data store you on the largest disk (not recommended), then you will need to create a separate partition for backup to disk with greater capacity.

  You can also clone volumes using restore in disk utility.

  1. Open utility disk from the Applications\utilitaires folder.
  2. Select the volume target in the list on the left.
  3. Click the restore in the main window of disk utility.
  4. Select again the volume target in the list aside and drag it into the Destination field.
  5. Select the volume of the Source of the list aside and drag it to the Source domain.
  6. Click Restore.

  Snapshots can be created with the virtual machine or not. With the virtual machine running, it may take more time to create the snapshot, and you won't 'lose' disk space, due to the State of memory that will be instantaneous.

  When possible, I recommend you take the snapshot with the virtual machine power off.

  The answer, in my view, depends on how much you have to save:
   
  1. If you want to make an image of the entire drive, with Windows,

  I finally found a way to find the path of the called VIs dynamically in my application built to LV2010 (now that you cannot use the folder list for a list of the screws of your built application more).

  For what it's worth, my (from other posts) solution is to use an after built step that records all the ways of development of "top level/always included screws" in a text file in a subfolder 'bin' of my app (in which I also store dll that I need). However, it is not very elegant as anyone can take a glance at it and the refectory with this file.

  I don't think that there is a more elegant solution to this problem, because I think you're right that you cannot use the files VI list for the list because it is inside the exe itself.

• Best way to get a file into an application?

  It is a question of two parts:

  (1) I am currently building a GPS application that allows the user to read in a certain type of files of information they can find on the internet. My challenge here is to find the easiest way for the user so that my request to find this file once the user has downloaded on their own to their blackberry. Here are the options that I came with:

  -force users to put their files in a specific directory (not as easy to use)

  FileExplorerDemo and FileConnection API will do this for you.  The user can download to SD card.
