OfficeJet 6510 has no. Scan wireless

Win7 64 bit

Printed wireless but no sweeping. When you run the Scan utility he gets 1/2 way to recognize and hangs up and does not recognize the printer. Summary of printer indicates an IP address but does not appear on the addresses used by computer.

Also the HP software package which allows you to scan in PDF files does not have the option more. It happens also to the page that asks if you want to add the printer and stalls during an attempt to recognize the printer.

Remember this bundle together worked for more than a year before doing so.

I dug up a USB cable and installed it and he showed evidence that the problem was in communication with the router, but I think we all knew that at first. However, I did what you asked and it worked with the USB connection.

I'm going to combine the answer is there, but VisionAiry (HP) says that the subnet mask is incorrect, but I don't know where he would have got that info from the jpg showed everybody empty because it is set to auto. So we all learned not to trust the computer and the router to do the car properly.

Nevertheless, I had a static IP address through the IPv4 in the printer embedded Web page and the software bundle comes to work immediately. The software is back to normal and I'm on the the door way to the loony bin.

Appreciate all the help of VisionAiry (CV) and you lostsowl, you came out it when things get difficult.

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more - Scan-to-Computer tasks can be reorganized or renamed?

I have a HP OfficeJet 6500 has more (E710n-z) and have implemented the Scan of the computer which works very well.

When I turn on the scan-to-computer of the screen of the printer, there are six different choices for the analysis-'Save as PDF,' 'Save as JPEG,' etc..

Three appear on the first screen, and I have to scroll down to get over the next three years.

    My Questions are:

    1. Is there a way to rearrange the scan tasks so that I can change which three appear on the first screen of the printer?
    2. Is there a way to change the names of the tasks of the computer analysis?

I'm on a Mac running (OSX 10.8.2) Mountain Lion

Sorry, there is not a way to change the order on the display of the scan task.

Also, you cannot change the name of the actual analysis to the task of the computer. The only thing you can change is the name real analysis of the case, sorry.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium - only scan wireless

    Hello

My new printer is connected wireless to my network.  It prints very well.

It will NOT scan ontop my computer unless I physically connect it with a usb cord.

I tried to go to the HP utility folder to confirm the scan settings are on, but it's not going to show me this icon (when connected wireless).

If I am connected via the USB cord settings scan icon and it is indeed turned on.

    Thanks for the help!

I am betting that McAfee is the source of the problem.  Disable McAfee and see what happens.

  • OfficeJet j6480: Officejet j6480 win 10 scan wireless

I got my printer with win 7 in wireless mode. Everything worked very well. I've recently upgraded to Win 10 and now have problems with the scanner. In a WiFi connection, the printer works fine. However, the scanner does not work. I can get the scanner to work with a USB cable but not wireless. I get an error of "imaging device not found". I ran the doctor print and scan which showed that the 'scanning driver is unable to communicate with the product. I downloaded and uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers many times. I tried to disable my Antivirus software and even tried to install with my firewall disabled. I also uninstalled the update of windows latested KB3132372. That brought back the HP Solution Center but do nothing to correct the problem to scan. Help! Is that what I write is thinking that it is a driver problem?

Thanks for all your help. I tried your suggestion, but unfortunately it did not work. The good news is that I could solve the problem. Finally, I was able to get into safe mode in windows 10. Low and behold there was a pilot showing imagining devices. I removed this driver and reinstalled the drivers using the HP installation wizard. It works fine now. I have not even any problems with Windows Update causing havoc both with the HP Solution Center.

Thanks again for taking the time to help me.

  • HP officejet 6500 has no wireless

I have a new printer, which connects, print, scan and copy via USB with no problems. The reason why I bought this printer was fine for e-print and air print with my iPad. In the box and on the site it is said that it is possible. I followed the instructions, but there is no function to connect to the Internet, no light blue as described in the instructions. Under the menu setup, I clicked on the network, there is no wireless option, only 3 options available, see summary, Advanced Network Configuration and restore the default settings of the network. Under advance Setup, I have only the link speed options and IP settings. Me missing something, is there a wireless switch, I have not yet found? The function of the iPad is essential for me!

    Your 6500 IS NOT wireless.

No matter what you do, you will not see because wireless options that there is no interface wireless on this particular model.

Now that you know the problem, your next question - what is the solution?

You cannot switch the printer wirelessly with any card internal etc then here are your options.

1: USB cable to the computer. This is by far the worst of solutions, I will give you, but it works.

    (2) connect the printer to the router. It is the most reliable connection method, but is not always convenient depending on the location.

    (3) obtain a wireless access point. They are EXPENSIVE - so the solution to this solution is a cheap wireless router which has features WDS (Wireless Distribution System). I use D-Link TL-WR740N for this. There are 2 reasons for this model - it has what it takes, and it's about $35 in most retail stores.

Select the WDS as described in the manual. You don't need to make any changes to your existing wireless router - just browse to your router in the 740N and once it is connected, there is now a wireless access point. Connect an ethernet cable from the router to the printer. The advantage here is that the router and the printer can be on different floors of the main router, so there is no unsightly wiring, and if you want you can just hide the 740N behind the printer, and novbody even know it's there. And let's be honest, if someone said that you had to use a $35 for the printer wireless card, would you miss buy now!

In addition, now you have a router installed remotely to other devices, like a Magic Jack, who, by the way is a great way to get a line number and fax fax for your 6500! Yes, you can fax on it - it's my exact game!

  • Black line copy/scan number Officejet 7500 has

OfficeJet 7500 has. When do face or scanning through feeding, copying or scanning has a vertical line from the top to the bottom, near the Center. When explorations or copies are made from the plateau, this line does not appear. We have cleaned the rollers and separator, but we always get this line in the middle. There is also no line when we print from the computer... Please advise as this is a brand new computer.

    Hello Ivrwm

I hope that your trade goes well. If you have any other questions please post back.

  • Problem with Officejet 6500 has more wireless on my Mac running Lion

I just got the Officejet 6500 has more. I was able to make it work with my HP PC Windows XP (would not work with the radio, but it's probably a problem with this computer - connected very well with USB). But I don't see the option to add it on my Mac (main computer) running OS Lion. I'm completely updated on Mac software. I see my other printer as usual (also a HP) on Mac.

Tried to reboot several times. I looked on the HP site to various articles and it seems that I might need to make an update of the firmware on the printer, but when I downloaded the software (on the PC), my printer is gray and so wouldn't let me - or does not need the upgrade. Then. I can't see the printer on the Mac and don't know what else to do. Ideas? Thank you... Is the printer on my wireless network - I can not see the IP address and others.

I don't really know exactly what I did - added to the printer with its IP address and manually the software (added name - I also had a HP update tonight for the printer software, but that only did nothing), then printing I tried and it still would not work.  I used the adjusted IP address, which I found on the dashboard of Verizon. And for some reason, once I put that in manually on the printer, it remained there, even when in desperation I tried to put it back the "detect network" setting. Sorry - but this is not quite logical or in the order.

Also, I restarted the router, then the printer. Somewhere among all the things I tried, to my amazement, it finally worked! At first, I saw the IP address as the name of the printer (which I had entered it), and then he asked to be changed to the actual model. I did it and it now seems to work. Here, I could tell exactly what I did, but perhaps in what I wrote, you will get a glow and know WHY it worked?

I wanted to thank you again for all the time you spent to try and help me get this working. It is really really REALLY appreciated and I definitely click the congratulations for you! Thank you very much!

  • HP Officejet 6500 has more by using a different IP address than before

I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more. Until yesterday, the printer worked wirelessly with my Mac OS 10.6.8 using the same IP address in IPv4 as the computer. I ran the HP Network Config page and it shows an IP address different today that it did. Is the message that I get when I send a document to print wireless: network host 192.168.1.101 is busy try again in 10 seconds.

I checked the IP address of the printer and it is 192.168.1.100 (not 101). Therefore, they do not speak with each other. I treated all the solutions that I can find on the HP network to see if I can get the two survey periods to match and nothing seems to work. I turned off, turn off router, off modem, printer is off, turned off computer and lit them all back. No help.

Any suggestions? Can I print using USB, but it's embarrassing.

Something doesn't look good - maybe that I misunderstood... You say above, your computer and your printer had the same IPaddress and, when this is the case, you were able to print. Now, the printer and the computer have different IP addresses and now, you are not able to print. If this summary is correct, that then it seems to me that it should be exactly the reverse.

If the IP addresses were the same, there is a conflict between devices, a bit like a mailman trying to deliver mail to two different locations which have the same addresses... What place receives the mail? It is normal for all network devices have their own unique IP address - how each device gets its own mail... or data packets.

From the sounds of things, your printer is 100 but the MAC OS think its 101. Therefore, the print job is sent to 101 and never happens at the printer. You have two options... tell the OS that the printer is located at 192.168.1.100 or that, to avoid this problem in the future, on the IP address of the printer a static address, just guessing anything below 100, as 192.168.1.50 and then specify the operating system that the printer is located to 192.168.1.50.

To make the choice of the latter, you must use your internet browser (Safari) and navigate to the 192.168.1.100 address. There is a web interface for your printer. Look for the network settings, then you can change the way that the IP address is obtained from dynamic (DHCP) static. And, after that, you need to find the IP of 192.168.1.50. It is also important to complete the subnet mask that will be 255.255.255.0. Finally, if your printer includes "web applications", you should also check the DNS addresses. You can use: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's DNS servers) or 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS servers)

Note that when you save / apply the changes, you will lose your connection to the webinterface of the printer as the printer will have a new address. To return to the printer web interface, access the new static IP address.

As far as to say where actually the MAC OS printer, the simplest option, as appropriate, is to use the HP tool to add a network printer or a device. To do this, AFTER you change the IP address. The HP software will scan the network printer and it should give you a result that shows the printer to the new static IP address. Installing and if possible, the name of the printer with a few references of "static HP or the"HPat192.168.1.50"set as default printer and remove the old definition of HP printer.

The other option to speak the printer MAC must use Add a printer via system preferences > printer/Fax. I'm fairly certain that the MAC tools can analyze the LAN... in any case, it will be a more complicated procedure. Better for a user MAC more warned give assistance if you go this route.

    Hope this helps

  • OfficeJet 6500 E710n-z - printing wireless problems

I recently bought a HP OfficeJet 6500 has to work in wireless mode.  I had problems to configure the device.  I have yet to set up the fax, but the scan works, but I can't print from my computer.  I run MS VISTA and I rebooted rebooted several times HP software etc. (printing software not only the remaining 6 software - no option to uninstall for the latter).  The printer can see my wireless router and printer on the PC Kit I can check the cartridge ink levels.  However, I can't print the PC (OK the printer) test pages.  I downloaded various tools on the HP site and got the following message - "missing software!  HP software required to connect to your printer on the network was not found on this computer etc."so it seems to be a matter of communication protocol between the PC and the printer

I seem to be going round in circles here for any help/advice anyone can offer would be appreciated.

    Thank you in anticipation

    Thank you very much PrintDoc. There are some update on the 6500 has wifi problem;

1 - to the level of security WPA2 - personal TKIP or AES. The printer can connect to the network, I can ping (192.168.1.104), but I can't print anything. Called HP customer service, then,.

2 - start > devices and printer > add a printer > add a local printer (don't choose not low a bluetotth wireless,...) > create a new port > standard TCP/IP port > write your IP of the printer and uncheck the query the printer... > Officejet 6500 in the right box and click Hawlett-Packard (not HP) > NEXT (do NOT click on have a disk or something else) > replace the current driver > next > next > do not share this printer > finish

3 HP support team has informed me that some routers have a problem with this printer. I have a Linksys WAG320N

  • Win7 x 64 install an Officejet 6500 has MORE. Cannot print

Win7 x 64 install an Officejet 6500 has MORE. Printer is connected to the wireless very well. Win7 x 64 computer can ping and see the printer on the network.

Get a message error everytime I try to print saying: "it cannot connect to the printer.

Same computer can connect to the printer and to view and modify settings wireless very well.

I guess it's a problem with Win7 x 64. I need to fix this before to decide to take back to Costco and exchange for the Canon I almost branch instead. HP you have always had driver problems, but still? Really!

Has taken over the crappy HP. Picked up a Canon PIXMA MX882 instead. Impeccable installation, in 10 min I'm printing, scanning, fax wireless with not a single question.

I am VERY disappointed with HP and its incompatibility with Win7 x 64 drivers. Don't advertise your crap software is compatible, when it is not! I lost hours of my personal time, trying to get HP to work then most of time taking the piece of crap back (I really like the hardware of the printer - software "guys really?"). I will never buy another HP printer. And on the Canon Wireless Setup was easier. A button called easy set up on top of the printer and BAM done. * beep * HP, * beep * indeed.
