  • FWSM and multiple-vlan-interface command

    Hello

I am due to configure a FWSM in an IOS 6513 running, I suppose that the example configurations are quite similar, when you use an MSFC, but I have a question.

I have 3 inside VLANs, configure 3 LAN interfaces VIRTUAL with IP addresses (as a default gateway for hosts on 3 VLANs), then set up another VLAN separated for a "next hop" between the router and the inside deals with the interface of the FWSM, put the IP on the router from VLAN and FWSM inside?

I tried this on a test set up and it seems to work but when I ping one external host through the FWSM I couldn't see not all packages using DEBUG ICMP TRACEL, PING did stop working when I removed the ACL on the FWSM inside the interface.

I used the command INTERFACE MULTIPLE VLAN FIREWALL but after reading all the documentation I think now that I'd rather avoid this command.

I want to just make sure that I was not without going through the FW

    Any help appreciated

    Regards Tony

I'm a little confused by your description, but it sounds as if you have it set up correctly. It is expected that you would not see the output of the "backtrace icmp" packet ICMP will * by * the FWSM. The reason for this is because as the FWSM 'fast switches' packages when the connection has been established. The debugging process run in the complex of PC which is basically 3 layers of treatment in the stream. Initial connections and traffic * to * the FWSM itself are dealt with in the complex of PC. Therefore, this is why you have seen the debugging when you ping the FWSM directly. Remove the ACL was probably the best test to see that everything worked. As long as you only have a SVI, then there is no possible way for packets routed in the MSFC. The FWSM is the only thing that can get in the above scenerio.

Hope that helps to explain the questions a bit.

  • Nested 6 ESXi on workstation 11 - host can see 1 interface 'physical '.

I'm trying to set up a nested ESXi 6.0.0 laboratory under 11 workstation.  The ESXi host sees only 1 custom NICs, one as vmnic0 which is operational and configured in the management interface.  I have three other network adapters configured for the virtual computer but ESXi is not clear make them they show as active and connected from the point of view of 11 s Workstation.  I need at least one more because it does not use the network for iSCSI vKernel management.  The cards, the first of which are configured the same (custom) in my computer.

I dropped the hardware compatibility of 11.0 to NIC 10.0, but always without extra charge.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

If you have another suggestion I'm all ears.

I'm pretty sure that it will solve the problem to add the missing lines already. Please make sure that change you the . VMX file with tab of the virtual machine closed in order to ensure that the configuration file is reread after the change.

    Hola nuevo!

Instalo vmware tools pero no me refleja nada speed Las interfaces, or even con el comando ethtool, speed of interface ethtool - s, etc... Doy por hecho than esta has 1 GB, pero tengo esa duda y realemente no estoy seguro porque no lo veo.

In los esx graphical esta has 1 G

Sabeis if hay alguna manera sabre speed Las las maquinas office interfaces?

  • IT BECOMES DIFFICULT TO SEE THE INTERFACE ON A HIGH REX SCREEN FONTS

The applications that I am running on a Dell 27 "monitor all the text of the view menu which is a nuisance to read.  Change the screen resolution makes a blurry image - (and did the useless upgrade)

I am told by the developers, that it is an OS problem.   How or when this problem can be solved?

  • Cannot see interface in mode of inspection inspection on CVS1458rt

    Nice day

I did a VBAI (with a custom interface inspection) inspection. The inspection runs on a CVS-1458RT and control interface must be visible on a touchscreen connected via VGA to the CVS. But on the screen connected to the CVS is only part of the visible control interface, the last image of acuired. But the control interface also controls and counter part, which are not visible. Even if the VBAI inspection is defined as a start and no other computer is connected remotely to the CVS (without remote) I can't see the interface of any inspection. What I did wrong? If remote control my RESUME while it is inspectiong I can see the interface all inspection on my computer screen and can change the values of the elements of order entry.

    Thanks in advance

  • See the list of system alarm notifications

How to display the list of alarm system notifications? It indicates when an anlarm is present, but I need to show this list on demand to watch the story of alarm. I can't find anything in the menu normal workspace that will show in this list.

My other thought is to create an alarm for a push button on the workspace and trigger the list this way alarms.

    Hi Damien,.

First of all, let me mention that if you use VeriStand 2015 SP1 or later, you can use the new Manager user interface as an alternative to the old VeriStand workspace.  This new application has an alarm monitor tool that has a tab alarm history that you can pass ot at any time.  Check it out if you have not already!

Regarding the history of alarm notification dialog box, there is no built-in features this and the only time where it will be displayed is when an alarm is fired.  The VI is built in the exe VeriStand, changes cannot be made.

However, I was able to do a simple VI that you can add to your Tools menu that allows you to display the dialog box.  Some cautions however first:

    (1) it is not fully tested, so there is a chance, it may not work properly in all cases (even though she seemed well in my limited testing)

    (2) it refers to a path of the internal VI to the exe VeriStand.  There is always a chance that this may change or stop working in the future (although I would say that the chances of this change is fairly low)

    (3) I made this 2015 LabVIEW VI, so it only works with VeriStand 2015 or 2015 SP1.  If you use a different version of the VeriStand, let me know and I can recompile it for you in his own version.

To use this tool, unzip the VI in the .zip file to the following location:

    VeriStand 2015\Workspace Tools\Show \National Instruments\NI alarm History.vi

You VeriStand project, click on the "User Interface" node and select "configure tools."  In the dialog box, click the 'Create a new item' button in the lower left corner of the dialog box, and then configure it as a tool for custom VI, as shown here:

After that, click OK, and then run your project.  In the menu 'Tools' in your workspace, you should see the new command "view alarm history.  If you click on it, the list of Noticiation alarm system should appear.

If all goes well, that should work for you, but let me know if you have any problems.

If you don't want to use this for some reason, your other idea on the creation of a dedicated button alarm will work as well, but then you'll find yourself with a lot of extra any notification of alarm to 'View' in your list.

  • The AIP - SSM to unused ASA connection interface

    Hi people,

Perhaps, someone has already raised this issue, but I was unable to find anything relevant. We have an ASA with an unused interface (gig0/3). The sensor of the AIP - SSM is physically connected to this interface with the following IP settings:

    Sensor (192.168.2.2/30,192.168.2.1)---interface ASA (192.168.2.1/30)

It's basically point to point connectivity, and I can reach the ASA of the sensor and the other way around.

This design is dictated by the lack of a free port on the switch.

Technically, it should work without any problems, but I can't seem to be able to reach the sensor. There is a switch between my PC and the sensor and the switch has the corresponding static route added. I can reach the switch sensor.

Is there a security feature hidden I don't know that prevent communication with the sensor.

And ACL of the sensor allows the traffic to all networks (0.0.0.0/0)

With the sensor acl set to 0.0.0.0/0, the sensor must be allowing connectivity.

You can use the 'View of package' command on the sensor to look at packets on the interface command and control to see if the packets are what makes the sensor.

You say that you have a static route on your switch for the switch reach your sensor. Do you know if your PC is configured to use the switch as the computer's default router. If the PC is to use a different default router, then the other router should also the static route.

The other possibility is that the SAA itself can be deny traffic.

Since this is an ASA connected to the MSS interface, the traffic must be routed through the ASA. Standard firewall rules apply to this traffic. The security level of the interfaces can prevent traffic, and an ACL may be necessary in order to allow the circulation of your PC be routed to the SSM.

NOTE: If you don't want to have to worry about roads, the other alternative is to make the network between the ASA and SSM to be an isolated network that only 2 machines know.

You can then use PAT static to map a port on the inside of the ASA interface with the address of the SSM 443 https port and map a second port of the SAA within the interfaces to the address of the SSM SSH port.

How your home PC would simply plug the ASA IP using these specific ports and the ASA would do the translation of port and transmit on the MSS.

The SSM address could also be dynamically PAT would have on the SAA within the address, so SSM could start the connection to other machines on the inside network.

Another alternative if you have addresses available on your inside network IP is to use static NAT instead of PAT. And just go forward and has the ASA statically map an IP network on IP of the SSM on the network that only the ASA and the SSM inside could know.

In both cases the network between the ASA and SSM would not routable at, and you wouldn't have to worry of reproducing static routes anywhere.

SIDE NOTE: A separate network for the SSM you Becase you will also need to NAT or PAT address of the SSM for the ASA to outside interface. In this way the SSM will be able to connect to Internet to download cisco.com auto updates, and/or pull overall correlation of servers cisco information. It's probably the same configuration that you would already other internal addresses, and just to be sure, you cover the SSM since you have it on a separate subnet.

Let's call the menu bar (or 'classic' menu bar).

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

  • Can't see taskbar, except if I close all the windows, but hide automatically is not checked - how to fix this?

I tried to stop and do a restart, but nothing has changed. The two bars are always top in IE but not in Firefox more. It is very annoying. Firefox is stuck in mode full screen? The F11 function key switches between regular views and full screen modes.

Firefox window is an irrational dimension in normal mode, it can indicate a corruption of the file that stores the information of location/size of window. The usual medicine is to rename this file and let Firefox restart by using the default dimensions. Here's how:
