  • No blue screens SP1 Windows Server 2008 R2 after the deployment model

    Hi all

I searched around forums and google to see if someone else has fallen on this, but I can't seem to find anything.  I have a 4.1 ESX 1 environment with vCenter 4.1 update 1

I created a new system of Windows Server 2008 R2 and it patched for the last levels without SP1.  I cloned then it to a model.  When I deploy a server through this model with customizations (new SID), blue ect just system screens and goes in a reboot of the endess.  If I have the model with no customizations are deployed, it works fine.  It seems the new sid or something that's a waste.

    Any thoughts?

    Hello.

Note: This discussion has been moved from the community of VMware ESX 4 on VMware vCenter Server community.

There was a discussion there not too long ago which may help.

  • Error blue screen of Windows 8

Hello, I have a few problems with Windows... First I hade error 0cx000000f, which I was unable to start windows, and which I have fixed formatting my computer and reinstall windows (in fact, I installed a downloadable version of windows which I activated with my personal product key). It seemed made for the first time, but then I restarted computer and I got another blue screen, the "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME"... I tried hard to solve this problem, but the onl thing I can once again formatted my pc and reinstall Windows 8, but when I restart error comes back. When the error affects PC I can not even boot Windows 8 DVD... Please someone help me...

Hey! It seems that I fixed that! Now, I'm writing about it so if somone had the same problem can try to repair it this way. It seems that I was right to think that BIOS and operating system are not compatible...

To fix the error, I followed these steps:

    1. I went to the BIOS and secure boot disabled to enable legacy support... (F10 > System Configuration > start... Options)

    2. I used a bootable, Gparted software, which actually start by pressing F9, then DVD internal, I formatted all my volumes of HARD drive, then I deleted all the volumes to have just a left volume...

    3. I used the DVD of Windows 8.1 to run "Recovery" and then used prompt to convert my GPT HARD drive - recovery > Troubleshoot > advanced > guest > diskpart (then write the commands following..) > select 'your own number volume' volume > clean > convert GPT... (the mistake that I did before, it's that I tried to install win 8 which can be installed on a HDD MBR but needs a HDD GPT to will work perfectly, and I was caught in the MBR format before somehow)

    4. I installed Windows 8.1 (from DVD) and the drivers in my PC and it seems now work very well, even if I am still unable to use start secure even if UEFI is installed, but that's okay as long as it...

At least the error was the uncompatibility between the operating system (win 8) and the wrong format of drive (MBR) that I used to install Windows 8, system that was obviously too old for the version of BIOS and the BIOS (version 25) last...

Have you completed the tasks detailed in my previous message?

I watched your Event Viewer logs files and have few problems. During the reporting period, you had only a blue screen error unless they are not reported and three unexpected shut downs.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

The DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error usually occurs after the installation of the faulty device driver or service system, BIOS.

If you encounter a bug 0xA control during the upgrade to a later version of Windows, this error can be caused by a device driver, system service, an anti-virus or a backup tool that is not compatible with the new version.

To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    • Did you just install a new program or a piece of hardware, update a driver, install an update, etc. ?

    • You get the error message? Please provide the exact error message / error code.

I suggest you try using the methods below and check if it can help solve the problem.

Method 1: Run the Safe Mode and perform a clean boot

Step 1: Safe Mode. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services. Start your operating system in this way and see if the problem appears.

Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists. Follow these steps to start the computer in safe mode.

Click on the link and follow the steps in Start parameters of Windows (including safe mode)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode

If the problem does not exist in safe mode, try to perform a clean boot and check.

Step 2: Perform the clean boot.

Reference: How to perform a clean boot in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, consult this section «How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting»

If the problem persists I suggest you follow method 2

    Method 2:

Resolution of errors blue screen in Windows

    Reference: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/resolve-Windows-blue-screen-errors

IMPORTANT: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

Also check your installed programs. If you see something that you have not installed and is not part of Windows, use the Remove Programs option.

Hope this information is useful. Please let us know if you need help with Windows.

    Thank you

I check the server system property and I see that we use ADAPTEC Serial ATA RAID host as storage next to Microsoft iCSCI and ADAPTEC RAID SCSI Disk Device 500 GB HD controller initiator.
I also see that ADAPTEC Serial ATA RAID host uses aarahci.sys as a pilot, I check the driver, it's the most recent driver.
My question is the same as I understand that there is something wrong with the driver, but I don't know what really happened. Maybe the driver is not good, the disc has fault or we do not have enough memory (our server has only 4 GB of RAM and memory load is still > 80%, sometimes it reached 96% and current Page File is 4265 MB)
Can someone help me to point out what exactly happens with the error above?

    Help please! THX

Blue screen and Windows nothing unusual. Am I wrong? ;)

Sorry, but it is not easy to say what the problem is here. I use Vista for two months without any blue screens and you really can't wait until someone can give you a clear explanation here.

Blue screen occurs due to different circumstances. May be software related conflict... Check out the software for some compatibility problems
