2 different versions of Firefox are also shown to date
I have 2 PCs both running the same software XP pro SP3 perfectly up-to-date. One is one laptop HP, the other a desk top. Updated Firefox updated to version 7 on the desktop, but when checking the laptop to update that of Ver.6 I am informed that the laptop is up-to-date and nothing is done to go to version 7. Why is it so?
Firefox 7.0 updates have been disabled for the time being and will be reactivated by releasing the chemspill Firefox 7.0.1.

I have several versions of Firefox are installed?
I would like to install Firefox 4, but I also want to keep Firefox 3.6. I have test the web applications and therefore need several versions.
Is this possible? If so, what are the words of wisdom you can share on how to install 4 without screwing up the current installation of Firefox?
I have a Mac (OS 10.6) and Windows 7. I prefer to keep 3.6 on both, but only need to install on a 4.
You are 10 security updates behind - 3.6.16 is released yesterday.
Mac is only one version of Firefox at the same time.
Windows = install Firefox 4.0 by using the Custom Installation, in a single folder named option - as /Program Files/Firefox 4.0 /-don't let not run 4.0 after the complete installation procedure.
Create a new profile exclusively for version 4.0 beta and create a shortcut on the desktop with Pei 'profile' attached to the target to launch this profile.

An employer requires that I use Firefox 3. The other requires that I use the most recent version. How to install a new version of Firefox to another path without overwriting the old version?
The best way to have a version be an installation of Firefox Portable. The mobile facility is autonomous and will not affect your installation of Firefox "ordinary".
http://PortableApps.com/apps/Internet/firefox_portableOtherwise, you will need to set up a profile specifically for version 2 and make sure the correct profile is launched in each version.
http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/managing+profiles
http://KB.mozillazine.org/Shortcut_to_a_specific_profileOverall, you are probably best to replace your current version of Firefox 3.6.25 with Portable Apps - http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization#legacy36 - version and install Firefox 9.0.1 that your installation "regular".

With the latest version of Firefox, I can't ' fast email ' to my students through the ANGEL of the College System. I had to uninstall and go to an earlier version. I prefer the new rev.
A way to run two different versions. It doesn't have to be simultaneously. Seems to be a problem on the Mac and my XP systems.
Thank you
KimYou can install the portable version of Firefox 3.6.x to access Web sites that don't work with Firefox 5 +.

Older versions of Firefox are working perfectly, but the latest version does not open.
Mozilla Firefox version 34.0.5 (x 86 en - us) when loaded down does not open. I tried to change the Admin, but to no avail. I rebooted the previous version of firefox and it worked perfectly until it was replaced with the automatic update. I have a laptop Asus G74S model with Windows 7.
It should not. The subscription expires, the program stops working.
All that has to happen is you get a warning to re - register. If you
wish, you can contact their support and ask about it.
Did you remove this program? -
I need to run two different versions of Firefox
I'm currently crashing problems with Firefox 26 on openSUSE 13.1.
25 Firefox works perfectly well. There's two versions of openSUSE rest. I suspect an add-on.
To debug this I need to run both, one to report the bug and make my day job and one to test the bug.
I saw the other similar thread, but I'm not sure that the subject is the same.
I downloaded the last FF since the mozilla site and copied the folder ~ / Documents.
But when I run "~/documents/firefox/firefox--non-reculees - p", choose a new profile, I always get firefox 25, the installed version, not Firefox 26, donwloaded version. If I add the troubleshooting information, the message is refused (too long)
wait, it's me.
I force you use local firefox correctly
Sorry

When I first run Firefox, the Google start page loads properly, but has a warning banner beneath the entry box telling me that I don't have the latest version of Firefox. When I try to update, I get the message that I have the latest version. When I check the drop-down list "On Firefox" I see that I have the latest version. How can I get rid of the incorrect warning message?
Steve CaldwellHello
This could be because the Google page is not maintained. Please also see the posted solution here.

Why Windows shows several versions of Firefox are installed?
I use Firefox 11.0 on Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit OS. Firefox seems to work very well.
When I check the list of installed programs in Control Panel that I see two versions Firefox listed (11.0 and 10.0.2). Is this normal? Setup does not remove older versions when there's an update? Is it safe for me to uninstall the old version?
Moreover, same situation for Thunderbird. It shows the two 10.0.2 and 9.0.1!
Hi cor - El thanks for the answer.
I could not find the registry key that you referenced in your response, but I did a search and found the entry here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Mozilla Firefox 10.0.2
After removing this registry entry, version 10.0.2 no longer appears in the list of installed programs, and it worked for Thunderbird 9.0.1 as well.
Thanks again.

Where can I download the version of Firefox 64 b for Windows 7?
Missing at Mozilla.org is their old "Downloads" section, where the different versions of Firefox are available for their operating system.
I'm looking for a browser Firefox 64 b that is compatible with Windows 64 b. operating systems is there such a version? DRM for your help.
For Linux, 64-bit was necessary as otherwise the user will have to install the required 32-bit libraries, he built themselves or use a package of 64-bit of the third of their Linux distro.
There was also a lot of practice with the versions of Linux 64 - bit for some time on channel every night before the release of Firefox 4.0 even has emerged and they have mainly been used to catch the break since it is possible to break the 64-bit without affecting the 32-bit time.
For Mac, it had and by supporting 64-bit from Firefox 4.0, this is one of the reasons for the abandonment of PPC support.
Also when there is Firefox Win64 versions one will need Windows 7, 8.x or newer as servers, Vista, and XP 64-bit only is not supported.

All versions of Firefox are using OpenSSL?
If so, what versions of Firefox are vulnerable to the bug software CVE-2014-0160-who has recently been identified.

waterfox claims to be a 64-bit version of Firefox. Is it? Is it safe?
I noticed that IE provides a 64-bit version. Looking for a 64-bit version of FF I found Waterfox. He claims that it is a 64-bit version of FF. Is it? Is it safe? Are there plans for a 64-bit version of FF?
Official Windows versions of Firefox are 32-bit. Mozilla has been the creation of test of a 64-bit version of Windows of Firefox versions, but an official release is probably not any time soon. The Mozilla developers also indicate that the 32-bit version is faster than the trial of 64-bit versions and recommend to users, including the testers stick with the 32-bit version.
Waterfox is a 3rd unofficial version of Firefox. If you use a certain plugins will not work because they are only 32 bits, and some extensions (in particular those who have binary components) will not work.
