20 Mhz vs 40 Mhz compatibility with

I wonder if there is a difference in connectivity at 20 Mhz and 40 Mhz channels in 5 GHz...

Assumptions:

1. I have configured Cisco Client band elect on my WLC

2. I activated the band Client elect on my wlan

3. my wifi dual card has a favorite band selected to 5 GHz

4. my 3700 dual band Access Point configured channel 6 to 2,4 Ghz and channel 36 to 5 GHz.

5. I connect to channel 36 with my ipad.

7. from the perspective of WLC I stay connected to channel 36, but I know that channel 40 is a long string of 36, and now I am connected to a channel of 40 Mhz successfully.

8. I have all of my 600 AP campus with a 5 GHz (40 Mhz for all channels) channel binding. The goal is to increase performance and optimize the use of the spectrum.

Problem:

This week I had a company to conduct a study on the spot in my campus building, and they told me to turn off link in 5 GHz channel because if some dual band devices will not be able to connect to the 40 Mhz channel, they will automatically move to 2.4 Ghz.

There are devices dual band that cannot accept the 40 Mhz channels?

B - if don't support it not that they will be 2.4 Ghz mode directly or they will stay on the servile channel, but using only 20 Mhz?

They connect at 5 GHz with a bandwidth of 20 MHz. In any case note that device client is the one deciding what AP they connect and which group. Thus, there may be different behaviors in different clients.

Now a days WiFi, to reduce access point coverage to meet capacity needs. Challenge with 40 MHz is re - use and co-channel interference. With a width of 20 MHz, you have 13 CH (except UNII-2 Ex) & will be reduced to 6 If you use 40 MHz. So, if you and dense area where more than 6 APs on close by the deployment of 40 MHz could then lead to co-channel interference (CCI), which reduces performance. Deployment of high density therefore prefer to use 20 MHz to 5 GHz channel width or 40 MHz can be used without any other problems. So I would check if they showed to your ITC in your deployment of 5 GHz, then only I would consider to go with 20 MHz on these specific sector and leave the remaining 40 MHz.     I think I know what I'm supposed to do with the clock. It seems that I have to generate signals in DIO terminals or I need the signals digital or not.

    How can the question, I get a single signal with just Boolean out 1 DIO. I mean, I want to have a controllable DIO with boolean regardless of the time. It's like I would have:

    DIO0--> set to true, it gives me 1, 8V. If set to false, it gives me 0V. And it continues to run until it is manually stopped.

    Go ahead and install the equipment.  If you're worried, see the web site of the manufacturer to ensure that you have the latest version of the driver there (it may be newer than the driver on the CD that came with the hardware).

    I have no problem to install the drivers c309a using a Win 8.1 operating system that has all the undates installed, so I can print, however the software suite to operate other functions will not be installed.  When you use the latest version of the software of HP to win 8.1, it downloads and unzips but nothing after decompresses happen.  The Task Manager shows the configuration of the Installer (32-bit) HP running.  I left the Installer run for over an hour with no progress.  I repeated this process several times without success.

    I contacted HP and they told me the c309a printer is not totally compatibility with Win 8.1 in what all functions like the fax and scanning will not work.

    Also, I can see the printer installed from its address of sea.

    Is this correct?  Dose someone out there know the real story?
