20 second delay when connecting to the network of PCs

We live a 20-second delay when you try to connect through Windows Explorer for some of the XP (SP3 and all updates if it excludes http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899409) PCs on our network.  For example, if I type \\10.10.10.7 in the address bar, it takes 20 seconds for the action to appear.  If I type \\10.10.10.7\Scans (a share on this PC), it goes through instantly.  I checked our Active Directory Windows Server 2003 DNS and forward and reverse zones look good.  I looked at the IP as the PC receive (10.10.10.n, 10.10.11.n, and 10.10.12.n) Windows DHCP server, and there is no correlation.  I tried to use different and checked the share and NTFS permissions user accounts, but this does not seem to matter.  I tried ipconfig, ping, tracert, arp, pathping, netsh diag gui and it all passes.  We have some PC located in work that work and other groups that do not work.  We have some PC related to our field that work and some that don't work.  We have some PC which sometimes gives behind us and sometimes we do not delay, we are certain that we always give delayed, and we never give us the delay.  We are in a high school environment, and the delay is causing many problems.  So if you have ideas on how to isolate the problem that could be appreciated.

Then the index according to me lies in the instant connection on the one hand, but the 20 delay when you try to connect to the computer to see its actions.

Thank you

Mark

  • 63 error to TCP connection open in Simple data Client.vi when connecting to the network storage device.

    Hello

I tried the simple data client and simple example of data server. I tried this example to connect to a NAS device. My laptop properly communicates with the device since I ping the address of the NAS device and discovered it works perfectly fine. Also, I put the static IP of my pc even as the NAS. So everything I've done. But when I run the program giving the ip address of a NAS device, it shows an error 63.

Error 63 to TCP connection open in Simple data Client.vi

Possible reasons: LabVIEW: serial port receive buffer overflow. = LabVIEW: the network connection was refused by the server.

Why is happening. What can be done to solve this problem. Thanking you.

What is the firewall of the SIN.

Yes, it is very likely. Try disabling the firewall and try again. If the code works when you run the Server & client on your machine, but not when you run the server on your NAS and client on your machine (assuming you have entered the correct port for the NAS server), then it is very likely to be a firewall problem.

    vindsan wrote:

Server that is listening is no longer VI also means what.

Your VI server listens only once for a connection after receiving an incoming connection (or it expires after 60 years), he stops listening and the port will be more open for incoming connections - you must re - run the VI for another connection. With your code, you must run the VI server and then run the VI client in the 1960s, so it's not expire.

  • Satellite A500 - Remove the battery when connected to the network?

    Hello

I bought a new Satellite 500 and I would use it as much as possible. I'm not sure the stage of development of this battery. Should I remove the battery when I use the laptop at all times with the net supply?
Or this does not damage the battery longer years yet there is, or is the problem of the destruction of the battery because of the heat and being reloaded frequently persists?

I'm sorry if I could post to redundantly, but it is difficult to search for information, since I'm not a native speaker.
I encourage you just for a small tip for a related thread if available.

    Thank you very much!

  • Satellite A30 - battery discharges when connected to the network

    Hello

I hope someone can help me!
I have a Toshiba Satellite A30. He has recently started to discharge the battery when it is connected to and running off, the sector. If the screen icon shows current alternative (mode full power), but the % of the battery decreases by 5% per minute.

The battery on the laptop light is off. If I turned off the pc, the light will go orange, load. When I restart, it stays orange for a few seconds, then turns off again.

Is this a problem with the battery or load main, or something else? Please help, this is driving me crazy, that I keep having to turn it off to recharge!

    Thank you very much

I think battery is responsible for this. Satellite A30 is old enough laptop model, so I guess the battery is the best.
Remove the battery and check the label of the battery. You will find the exact reference. using this part number, you can order new battery for your laptop satellite.

    Hi Al,.

I'm under VMWare ESXi 4 Update 1. I use a pair of firewalls Astaro Security Gateway Computers invited in HA mode on my ESXi 4. My problem is that when the two guest computers are running in HA mode, they are fine. However, when I restart one of them with its virtual NICs defined on 'Connect to the market', it is not 'sync' upward with another. Two firewalls Astaro Security Gateway have a separate NETWORK connected between them for the SYNCHRONIZATION of HA.

However, when I uncheck the 'Connect to light' and allow the guest to start computer and then 'connect' virtual network cards, they work fine.

Is it possible to automate the connection of the network of machines comments adapter after, say, x seconds once they are turned on?

You can connect the network card in 60 seconds after the start of your virtual machine with the following script PowerCLI:

    # Get the VM
    $VM = Get-VM YourVMname

    # Get the network adapter
    $VMNetworkAdapter = $VM | Get-NetworkAdapter

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830 hangs when it is connected to the network

I just pick up a Pro OfficeJet 6830. I installed the ink cartridges and it seems to be able to print copies and test pages, but I can't seem to connect to my network. Here is what I tried:

    Using the Wireless Setup Wizard

I selected my network in the list and entered my WPA key. It says it tries to connect, then the following occurs:

1 briefly press (for less than one second), a screen will appear showing that it has successfully connected to the network.

    2. Press briefly (for less than a second) the screen flashes blue with an icon of 'power' and 'B8B2A4F8' text (which I assume is an error code).

    3. the screen display changes to "printer error: there is a problem with the printer.» "Turn the printer off, then on.

    4. after restarting the printer, he complains that he has not been arrested properly.

Any other attempt to connect gives the same results.

    Ethernet connection

If I turn on the printer when connected via Ethernet cable to my network, after about 10 seconds it crashes as described above (steps 2 and 3) without doing me anything at all.

I also tried a "Hard Reset" (i.e. unplug the printer for 60 seconds, and then it turning it back on again). This made no difference whatsoever.

I managed to get it to connect to a WiFi hotspot on my laptop (and I checked the firmware updates, but unfortunately there is none available), it seems that there is something of my network that do not have the printer. I have no idea what this could be, however. Someone at - it ideas?

    It solved!

I spent a bit of time on the phone with HP tech support and the guy could not actually solve the problem for me but it helped prove that the hardware network printer works OK. I could connect the printer directly to my PC via Ethernet, then ping and access the built-in web server.

It occurred to me that perhaps the problem was related to DHCP, because the printer broke immediately after the connection to the network. My router is an Asus RT-N66u with custom firmware (version Asuswrt-Merlin 376.48_3) and I could see the router newspaper that he was sending a DHCP acknowledgement to the printer just before he died.

So, here is what I did to solve the problem:

1 turn off the DHCP server on the router.

    2. on the printer, operated the network icon on the homescreen (at the Middle bottom) wireless.

3 typed down "gear" icon to the left (settings).

    4 typed "wireless settings".

    5 typed "Assistant wireless configuration".

6 selected my wireless network and entered the WPA key. This time, no crash, but he did not get an IP address assigned (obviously).

    7. back in 'Wireless Settings', I typed in 'advanced settings '.

    8 typed 'IP Settings'.

    9. tapped "manual (static).

    10. enter in the details for my network - yours will probably be different, but I entered in what follows:

IP address: 192.168.002.201 (I chose this because it is outside the range of addresses, the router for DHCP problems).

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

    Default gateway: 192.168.002.001

    DNS address: 192.168.002.001

    11 hit 'apply '.

12 re-enabled the DHCP server on my router.

    And now it works!

  • "Cannot connect to the network." When you enter the correct password for wireless network

    Hello

I have the HP Photosmart C7200 all-in-One series.

This seems relatively insignificant compared to some of the problems posted here, but nevertheless it is a problem.  I have a Verizon FiOS (Actiontec) router.  I am trying to connect to it wireless; the network key is using WPA authentication.  I followed all the instructions in the quick start guide.

My printer detects my network and application authentication key.  I enter the correct key, the printer is trying to establish a connection, but after about 15 to 25 seconds, I get the error message, "cannot connect to the network.  I know that my key is correct; I connect to my router very well through several laptops, PDA, etc.  I have reset the settings network default manufacturer and tried without success.

I don't know what kind of trouble shooting I'm supposed to do here.  The printer detects the router (albeit low signal strength) whenever I try to connect, I enter the password each time and I get the error each time.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: I printed the test report wireless network, here are the results:

    Radio on   PASS

    The radio work   PASS

Ethernet cable not plugged in   PASS

    Network name (SSID found)   PASS

    Security   PASS

The printer settings compatible with the configuration of the wireless router   PASS

No filtering   IN CASE OF FAILURE

    Connected   Not work

    The signal strength   Very low

Other networks detected matching you the network name (SSID)   NO.

I know this sounds strange, but try changing channel by channel 11 of the wireless router.

  • Comments Win XP cannot connect to the network when Cisco VPN works on Mac

Guest OS (Win XP) on the merger connects to the network, no problem. However, when I start a Cisco VPN on my Mac (not in the guest operating system) and then start Fusion/guest OS, the guest cannot connect to the network.

I was able to use this configuration for a year on an old MacBook Pro (unibody). Last month, I got a new MacBook Pro and flying over my virtual machine image. I don't check for a few weeks. I'm sure I fly over the image correctly because everything else seems OK or if the IT guys doing something to block my traffic over the VPN.

    Config

    -Fusion - Version 3.1.0 (261 058)

    -Mac - 10.6.4

So far, I have tried the following

-started to merge and XP without VPN on Mac - OK (bridge autodetect)

-launched VPN to work, and then launched Fusion - no network

-tried ipconfig/release, ipconfig / renew - not always no network

-tried NAT - do always no network

Thanks in advance. For any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

    Bernie

The NAT value and then restart the virtual machine.  Works for me with the VPN client built into a cisco router.

Do not work the real on 10.6.4 cisco software unless you really need to.

  • Unable to connect to the network in an OS Win 7 comments when the cable disconnected

    Hello

I have a Win7 x 64 host with Workstation 7.0 executes 2 guests - is also a Win 7 x 64 and the other is a Win 2003 R2 x 86. Both work quite well when I have a cable plugged into the host network, but when I unplug it, the Win 2003 comments always connects to the network local vm end (for example I can ping the host and I have a correct IP address with ipconfig) while the prompt of Win 7 says "unidentified network".

I have something special for the networking of comments (or even the host by the way) and that the guest Win2003 worked 'out of the box"that makes me think that the Win7 to work also with some small configuration changes somewhere - someone can help point me in the right direction?

    See you soon

    Dan

If both are NAT, both should have the Internet connection if you have removed the cable, because NAT virtual network connects to each host TCP/IP stack.

Are you sure? It really sounds like a bridge and the other is NAT. If you unplug the cable from the network status of the guests should not change. If in doubt, post the two guests .vmx files.

  • Windows 7 Pro cannot connect to the network when idle too long (large company)

We have approximately 75 users on Windows 7 Professional.  About two weeks ago (and the next day, Windows updates have been deployed to all PCs in our outside IT), the vast majority of users (but not all) have started to have a problem in what they can connect first thing in the morning; However, they immediately get an error that are not connected to the network, that network drives can be connected, they cannot access the internet, etc.  A reboot solves problems and the problem will not recur until the computer is left idle during the night.  Our outside IT says that what is happening on several client sites that they manage, but they have no idea of the cause; they are theorizing that it's maybe a botched Windows Update.  I have Windows 7 Pro at home and did not have the problem once.  Any suggestions appreciated.
