2515 PXI to wired, and correct connection to GND

Hi all

I am interfacing Board (DIB) test of switching pxi-2515. The switch will connect PXI-4130 EMS & PXI - 6552 to ESA to characterize several tests.

I'll use the connector VHDCI 68 pin on my Board to connect to via a NI SCH68-C68-D4 cable 2515. I will not use all channels of the ESA. Based on the schema of pine http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/375472A-01/switch/2515_independent/#MakingAConnection ; How can I connect right connection GND pins to my connector on the Board?

I'm a little confused, should I connect all pins of MASS to the land of my Board? Or can I choose some GND pins to connect to the land of my Board of Directors (since I will not use all channels of OTC in the 2515 - i.e.do some GND pins have chandres with some pins had?)?

The left plug in 2515 is connected to pin right connector (which connects to the DUT) PXI-6552 DI/O. would be GND be referenced to GND via left connector (through the land of 6552 system)? Or should I always connect everything to my land of the system HAD?

I would appreciate any clarification!

Thank you

Saami

Hi Sami,

The PXI-2515 will share the land line between the DUT and the card HSDIO when you use the GND lines. All GND pins share the same physical terrain, so it shouldn't matter what PIN you use for each channel. Just make sure you have each HAD the ground connected to the GND PIN. There are usually several distributed through the connector simply GND pins for easy access on the ground of several channels without having to connect multiple threads in an earth pin.

Which is better?

Hope this helps.

  • Wi-wired and OfficeJet 8620 connections?

We have a little wired Ethernet network.  We intend to install a HP OfficeJet 8620 multifunction printer tomorrow.  I understand that for an Ethernet wired only, I just connect the OfficeJet to our router, then install the drivers on each workstation.

Unfortunately, our situation is more complicated than that.  Several people want wireless devices can print to the OfficeJet 8620.  We have a working wireless network, and wireless devices are able to access it without problem...

All devices on the network (wired or wireless) using the same router, which has wired and wireless Ethernet ports.  So everything is on the same network, through the same router.

8620 documentation reading, it seems that you have a wired or a wireless connection, but not both.  Apparently to connect a CAT-5 cable to the port the printer Ethernet disables WiFi the printer functionality.

If this is true, what can do us to activate the wired computers and communicating mobile terminals to print the 8620, given the structure of network I described above?

  • E4200V1 disconnects - wired and wireless

I have random disconnects, but it is not only wireless, it's the trendy too.  I updated the firmware and I still have questions.  the 4200 worked fine for 3 years, and all of a sudden it just starts dropping across the network at random.

    Ideas?

    Thank you - kxlara

Hi kxlara. Intermittent connection for wired and wireless is usually caused by a bad firmware. You updated the firmware version of the router yourself? Did you do a hard reset of the device as soon as you have made with the upgrade process? I suggest that you do. To do the correct reset, simply press the reset button on the router for 30 seconds while the unit is turned on. Release the button and unplug the unit. Reinstall the settings from scratch.  Hope that helps.

  • Notebook Network Card - it controls wired and wireless?

A few weeks ago, we were struck by lightning.  Several components wired ethernet were blown out.  My HP laptop was connected by CAT5e network at the time.  Now, the WIFI works, but the hard drive, Wired is DOA.  I don't know that there is a hardware failure.  Is the wired and WIFI, both controlled by the portable NIC... a $30 fix or will I need a new motherboard on the laptop?

The "WIRED" network adapter is built into the laptop system board and would require the relocation of the card of the system to solve your problem. The 'WIRELESS' network adapter is a discreet card that is independent of the system board and can be replaced if necessary.

  • Want 5660 printer: 5660 envy may be wired and wireless?

    Hello

I have a new Evny 5660 all-in-one printer and I was wondering if I can configure it to be wired and wireless. I inow have it configured to be wireless for two computers - it connects to my network and both computers can access. However, I was wondering if there was a way to add also a USB connection on my desktop so there is work computer to the printer when the wireless is not enabled. I don't always have the wireless and then I can not print from this computer, so it would be nice to have the opportunity to do both, if there is a way to do it.

When you first install the printer, he used huge amounts of my posting of monthly wireless data, so I disabled (I hope) all updates and order options of connection so that it uses ONLY the wireless for my LAN connection - not to go out on the internet and download things by himself.

For this reason I don't use it a lot or leave the wireless for more than the time required to print everything I print, and then I have to disable the wireless because I am not convinced that it it not again try to use a huge amount of data on its own. So the question on wireless and wired. I do not actually print a large part of my laptop and that you do not have the wireless on most of the time if she could also be connected via USB to my desktop computer.

    Thank you!

OK - as I thought, the manual does not make the printer wireless and wired. It tells how to pass Wireless USB, but not the other way around and also provides no information on the type of USB cable not required.

In the section "Installation and printer software" on the computer itself, it only gives the option to add a new printer, or to change the wireless settings - nothing about adding a wired USB connection.

Any help on how to do this very appreciated!

    AMT

You need a USB cable from the printer.  Not just a USB cable standard.   Like this.

    http://www.Amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB-2-0-cable--male/DP/B00BCWALHM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1440363469&SR=8-1&keywords=printer+USB+cable

You should just be able to run the installer and follow the prompts to connect the USB cable and it should work.

  • help with HP Laser CM1415fnw wired and wireless installation

    Hi all

I have a hard wired and wireless. He let me just do one or the other. Is it possible that I can do both?

everything works if I'm wired or wireless, but the user wants to be able to use both.

    Any help would be great.

Sorry, cannot be enabled by design.  That said, the devices on a network don't like the way that others are connected.  You can print from a wireless connection to a wired (Ethernet) printer and v/v.

  • Wired and wireless at the same time

Printer: hp photosmart 6520; operating system: win7; router: linksys

When I arrived to this printer, I have used the USB connection and everything was fine. Then I changed to wireless mainly to use eprint.

This morning, I decided to go back to the wired USB connection - has been able to accomplish it, but with considerable difficulties - and now I have 2 printers in the folder of my printer (photosmart HP 6520 and photosmart hp 6520 (network).)

My question is: can I get the printer to function as both wired and wireless? If so, how?

    Hello

They are LOGICAL printers to separate the physical connections.  Before, you have made a conversion of USB-wireless (has removed the printer), but now you have TWO connections. Yes, we can use both connections at the same time, but when you send a print job to print your computer need to know how which.

    Kind regards.
