limited connection - wired and wireless connection

all devices, but this wireless to a 3 and 2 wired connection works with router/isp

one device gets continually unidentified network

have tried changing ports - resetting routers and cables

Tech ISP could not solve

even added a wireless - device to connect netgear usb and used to connect

He sees the network and tries to establish connection, but only gives limited connection and leave it as a network not identified on the local network connection and Wi - Fi

ran on CMD - ADMIN MODE

netsh winsock reset
netsh winsock reset catalog
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig/release
ipconfig / renew

  • Want 5660 printer: 5660 envy may be wired and wireless?

    Hello

I have a new Evny 5660 all-in-one printer and I was wondering if I can configure it to be wired and wireless. I inow have it configured to be wireless for two computers - it connects to my network and both computers can access. However, I was wondering if there was a way to add also a USB connection on my desktop so there is work computer to the printer when the wireless is not enabled. I don't always have the wireless and then I can not print from this computer, so it would be nice to have the opportunity to do both, if there is a way to do it.

When you first install the printer, he used huge amounts of my posting of monthly wireless data, so I disabled (I hope) all updates and order options of connection so that it uses ONLY the wireless for my LAN connection - not to go out on the internet and download things by himself.

For this reason I don't use it a lot or leave the wireless for more than the time required to print everything I print, and then I have to disable the wireless because I am not convinced that it it not again try to use a huge amount of data on its own. So the question on wireless and wired. I do not actually print a large part of my laptop and that you do not have the wireless on most of the time if she could also be connected via USB to my desktop computer.

    Thank you!

OK - as I thought, the manual does not make the printer wireless and wired. It tells how to pass Wireless USB, but not the other way around and also provides no information on the type of USB cable not required.

In the section "Installation and printer software" on the computer itself, it only gives the option to add a new printer, or to change the wireless settings - nothing about adding a wired USB connection.

Any help on how to do this very appreciated!

You need a USB cable from the printer.  Not just a USB cable standard.   Like this.

    http://www.Amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB-2-0-cable--male/DP/B00BCWALHM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1440363469&SR=8-1&keywords=printer+USB+cable

You should just be able to run the installer and follow the prompts to connect the USB cable and it should work.

  • help with HP Laser CM1415fnw wired and wireless installation

    Hi all

I have a hard wired and wireless. He let me just do one or the other. Is it possible that I can do both?

everything works if I'm wired or wireless, but the user wants to be able to use both.

    Any help would be great.

Sorry, cannot be enabled by design.  That said, the devices on a network don't like the way that others are connected.  You can print from a wireless connection to a wired (Ethernet) printer and v/v.

  • Wired and wireless at the same time

Printer: hp photosmart 6520; operating system: win7; router: linksys

When I arrived to this printer, I have used the USB connection and everything was fine. Then I changed to wireless mainly to use eprint.

This morning, I decided to go back to the wired USB connection - has been able to accomplish it, but with considerable difficulties - and now I have 2 printers in the folder of my printer (photosmart HP 6520 and photosmart hp 6520 (network).)

My question is: can I get the printer to function as both wired and wireless? If so, how?

    Hello

They are LOGICAL printers to separate the physical connections.  Before, you have made a conversion of USB-wireless (has removed the printer), but now you have TWO connections. Yes, we can use both connections at the same time, but when you send a print job to print your computer need to know how which.

  • E4200V1 disconnects - wired and wireless

I have random disconnects, but it is not only wireless, it's the trendy too.  I updated the firmware and I still have questions.  the 4200 worked fine for 3 years, and all of a sudden it just starts dropping across the network at random.

    Ideas?

    Thank you - kxlara

Hi kxlara. Intermittent connection for wired and wireless is usually caused by a bad firmware. You updated the firmware version of the router yourself? Did you do a hard reset of the device as soon as you have made with the upgrade process? I suggest that you do. To do the correct reset, simply press the reset button on the router for 30 seconds while the unit is turned on. Release the button and unplug the unit. Reinstall the settings from scratch.  Hope that helps.

  • Satellite L735 does not connect to the internet (wired and wireless)

    Hello

I have a brand new L735 satellite, and I'm having a lot of trouble with internet connections.

When I connect to a wireless network it is the profile and connects but still then doesn't say: "no internet access" for two IPv4 qnd IPv6 connectivity status.
I tried troubleshooting, turing off the computer, and wireless network and stil back, but it does not.

The same phenomenon occurs with the workplace wireless, despite other computers that connect to this good (so it does not come from the networks). I also tried to connect to work with an ethernet cable but no luck.

I have the Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless network card and the Atheros AR8152/8158 PCI - E Fast ethernet controller.

I don't know what to do as the laptop is new and so it should not need to updates, all parameters are default, etc.. I'd appreciate some help here!

    Hello

Uninstall or disable the TCP/IPv6 and use only TCP/IPv4 protocol.
Also check whether in the properties of TCP/IPv4, IP address and other parameters are defined to assign automatically

I recommend also check the firewall and some security applications that may be preinstalled on your laptop.
It might be possible that antivirus or firewall block the laptop to connect to internet.

  • Notebook Network Card - it controls wired and wireless?

A few weeks ago, we were struck by lightning.  Several components wired ethernet were blown out.  My HP laptop was connected by CAT5e network at the time.  Now, the WIFI works, but the hard drive, Wired is DOA.  I don't know that there is a hardware failure.  Is the wired and WIFI, both controlled by the portable NIC... a $30 fix or will I need a new motherboard on the laptop?

The "WIRED" network adapter is built into the laptop system board and would require the relocation of the card of the system to solve your problem. The 'WIRELESS' network adapter is a discreet card that is independent of the system board and can be replaced if necessary.

  • Slow speeds E3200 use wired and wireless

    Hello

I'm trying to understand why my E3200 is (for lack of a better word) 'throttling' my internet speed.

I am registered for the 50Mbps data plan my ISP. When I plug my laptop directly to the modem cable (via LAN cable), I see near 50Mbps as internet speed (via speedtest.net). When I connect my router to the cable modem and connect through a LAN cable to the router, the internet speed comes down through a maximum of 26Mbps. NOTE, that I speak still wired and not wireless. With the Wi - Fi speed tests give the same results as well.

In order to exclude the evidence, I have confirmed that there are not other devices on the network and any other bandwidth hogging applications running while I made these tests.

Any thoughts on what configs could be twisted to improve the situation?

    All the...

Spent the last 2 hours on the phone with a Cisco support person. After some fairly elaborate tests, they came to the conclusion that the unit is maybe defective. Fortunately, I'm covered under the hardware warranty, so I'll return it for a replacement.

Thanks for any ideas for troubleshooting... And other people having similar problems with this model should also probably call assistance...

    See you soon

  • LaserJet M252: Laserjet M252 wired and wireless

I have a user who has this printer and I would like to know if this printer can be configured for a WIRED connection and wireless.

The user has a Macbook Air, Chromebooks and iPads.   I configured the printer to have a static IP as a wired for the MBA and Chromebooks can be printed on it.  IPads need a wireless connection.

Since I have already assigned a static IP address for a WIRED connection, configure the wireless as DHCP for iPads can print?

You're right, plug an ethernet to the printer cable disables the wireless radio.

    Kind regards

  • Can not put computers wired and wireless on the same homegroup

I have a newbie question. I can't figure out how to put a computer cable and a computer in the same wireless Group of residential. Here is my configuration:

I installed Windows 7 Pro on two computers, one connected to the LAN from my router (Linksys WRT610N) port and the other has a wireless-N card. Both can connect to internet just fine. When I click on 'Network card' in the window network & sharing, two computers appear and the diagram of the switches and router seems correct. However, since they are not on the same 'local' network, Windows 7 does not offer the possibility to join the homegroup and each other.

Having partially abandoned on homegroup, I tried to use usernames and passwords to share files between 2 computers (instead of homegroup.) If I click on 'Network' of the computer wireless, wired computer appears, with the folder that I set to 'shared '. (Partial success). However, if I click on 'Network' of the computer cable, the wireless computer does NOT appear.

All I want to do is to share data between the two computers. What is the best way to set up the network?

    Thank you!

Don't know which question you answered, but you obviously did not read my question before you posted this reply directly from the windows help page. Fortunately, I answered my own question.

After much reading, I suspected a firewall problem. I have reinstalled Windows on the computer before installing the same Norton security suite and wireless, I had used before, I tried sharing folders again and voila! It worked. So, I'm not going to install all _ which comes with security suite Norton and go instead for a simpler solution of an antivirus program like AVG combined with the firewall that comes with Windows 7.
  • Printe all-in - One HP ENVY 7640: Wired AND wireless?

Question: If I buy the above printer, can I print using my Wired

I bought an OiiceJet 6500 has some time ago. I was VERY disappointed. It does not Duples, I get EITHER Witred or wireless (not both). Of ink refills are EXPENSIVE and they only last for a few weeks. After a few months it stopped paper feed and no matter what we tried sound from a white elephant.

I won't be suckered into another very poor printer with the consumables very expensive printer that only half of us can use

    Hello

This printer supports RJ 45 cable and wireless however both can not be active at the same time.

The best configuration that can be used there to connect the printer to the router by Ethernet cable / wireless (depending on your choice).

Connect the iPhone, ipad in the same wireless router.

Use of the HP all-in - One Printer Remote app to print.

Link to the app in Itunes in HERE

  • CAN you have both wired and wireless enabled on HP Officejet 6500 CN557A

We have an internal network where our HP Officejet 6500 is connected and working.

We also have public wifi we would like the printer to connect to, so we can have clients to connect to public wifi and print to the printer.

Box wireless and be active at the same time on this printer (and other Officjets with similar capabiltiies)?

    Greg

    Hi myitanalyst,

JO 6500 supports one 1 type of network connection is to say either wired or wireless, but USB and network can be connected at the same time

ex: USB + Wired or wireless + USB.

  • ACS 4.2 Wired and wireless group mapping

    Hello

User1 connects to the switch, it belongs to the Group AD Domain_user and are mapped to ACS Group1 wich send the radius attribute to change the VLAN, this part works fine.

My problem is when the same user connects with its wifi card... He is still part of the domain_user and get still mapped to group1 on acs but now, RADIUS values are bad for the wireless.

    Wired production vlan = 20

    Prod wireless vlan = 120

What I want to do, it is something like:

    ADGroupX Connect_type plus ACS Group1

    ADGroupX + Connect_type2 = ACS group2

I tried to use the connection profile but the group mapping are not performed at this level. Ditto for NAR, my user must be able to log user wired or wireless and get the right vlan not get restricted by the NAR.

Another way would be to set up a username/password wireless on the internal database and add it to the ACS group good but which involve password management and not all client 802 support auth password (without user intervention)

    Any idea?

Hi... this scenario is exactly what network access profiles are designed to address. Essentially, NAP to create a complete configuration based on network service.

So default ACS is a unique system of NAP (well I guess that 2 If you include RADIUS, and GANYMEDE) where any network service all RADIUS users would assume to use a single device type. NAP allows you to configure a service, the authentication, the mappings of groups and permissions Protocol.

The first part of the PAN you have to differentiate requests for authentication for each network service. This could be as easy to use the ip address of the AAA Client or NDG. If this is not possible, you can start looking at the attributes in the RADIUS request to find the attribute values that are unique to the switch or wlan.

Assuming you have managed to do is a matter of implementation of authenticattion and authorization policies-, but the main thing is that you will be able to send any returns RADIUS attributes to the device for the same user.

The user interface can take a little usual, then read the docs online and stick to it!

  • DeskJet 6127 - how to print on wired and Wireless subnets

How can I configure my network printer to print on subnets?

I have a subnet for wired computers and the other for the wireless. I have the printer installed on the wired subnet with a static IP address. I installed the driver on all wired computers, and they can print.

I can't install the driver on the wireless computers because the HP driver installation can never find the printer. I tried hardware address, IP address and host name of the printer, but the printer is ever found so implemented fails. However, I can ping IP and hostname of the printer on subnets.

I tried to install the printer on a laptop computer that has a wired NETWORK adapter and a wireless card. I installed the printer when you are connected to the same subnet as the printer through wire. Then I disabled the wired NETWORK card and activated (different subnet) wireless card, but printing fails. I also tried to change some parameters of the port, but I could not print wireless.

Is it possible to print to Deskjet 6127 on subnets? If so, how?

I thought about it myself. I have disabled the wireless card, activated the card NETWORK wired and re-installed the printer.

Setup automatically specifies 0.0.0.0 for the default gateway. Although the installation program automatically detects the printer and it works fine when you print the same wired subnet, you must use the advanced manual settings and change the default gateway 0.0.0.0 to the subnet that the printer is turned on.

Now I can print from this computer laptop wireless or wired.
