27.0 Firefox on W7/64 is to forget the cookies

All of a sudden 26.0 FF and 27.0 on a platform of W7/64 forget cookies. On the other natures of FF platforms (32/VISTA & XP/32) keep cookies OK. Privacy settings are: accept Cookies, accept 3rd Party Cookies always and keep until they expire.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

In safe MODE has no effect on the problem. However, after doing a RESET the problem identified. After doing the RESET I didn't specify how the cookies would be treated, just an option button "remember history".
It is interesting that there is this problem on laptop W7/64 1 door of entry. A second bridge W7/64 run first FF26.0, then FF27.0 do not show the problem with cookies into oblivion... more than two systems VISTA Home Premium/32, two systems XP Pro/32 SP3 + or a system of XP SP3 Home/32 +. The affected system is a Gateway NE56R laptop.

    You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder (a detailed list of the system shows that you have) which defines the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once to true.

    (I noticed that the mozillaZine knowledge base is down at the time of this posting)

    The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present.
    The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

    You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

    You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

    My Firefox has just automatically updated itself to the version 42. The extention under modules page does not display the extensions I have installed. The plug in page shows the plug ins I installed. How can I fix it? This happened on my 64 bit Windows 7 partition. I installed the extension "classic add-on" to see if she could solve the problem. There is unfortunately no. I have a screenshot. I'm not sure if I have permission to upload it to the media gallery. I also use Linux, but I did not upgrade that are still there.

    It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

    Delete the files (extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

    New files will be created if necessary.

    After the last update of Firefox, youtube videos do not play. The answers I've found are not relevant or too complicated.

    Hi Cbella, YouTube is generally used with an HTML5 player, who is a player who does not use a plugin video in MP4 format (for example, it does not use the Flash plugin).

    Now, I based this assertion on Windows, Mac may vary.

    Could you do two tests for me?

    Test #1:

    To verify which player you see (which does work), try a right click or Ctrl + click on the YouTube Player and check the "context menu" that rises. If it's the Flash, there will be a menu short, referring to the Flash on the last line. If you do not see that, if you get a regular menu of Firefox, it's probably the HTML5 player.

    Are what player you?

    Test #2:

    If you open the following test page, which videos to play?

    http://www.quirksmode.org/HTML5/tests/video.html

    • The video "H.264/MP4" play?
    • The video "WebM" play?

    Thank you.

    Also, you can check if your Flash plugin is up to date? You can use the site Mozilla Plugin check for this (please ignore the other plug-ins page wants you to update at the moment avoid making the situation more complicated):

    I've been using firefox for a while now and so far, ive never had a problem like this.

    Firefox crashed last night while I was asleep, and when I woke up this morning to turn it back on, the crash reporter asked me that if I wanted to restart firefox, I did, but when it is loaded, instead of asking if I wanted to restore my previous session, he loaded a blank page which had a white patch is looking for unusual at the top where the tab bar is supposed to be , with the legs of loading below.

    The tabs that I had loaded were all very important to me and I would like to find a way to get back them if possible, however, I was unable to find anything on the other help pages that describes the solves my problem.

    Please help if you can, it would be greatly appreciated.

    PS I apologize for not to include an image of the window of buggy, it didn't occur to me to take a screenshot before I closed it.

    sessionstore.bak files are no longer used in current versions of Firefox, so they are probably for some time ago (seven 2014:20140923175406) and may no longer be of use.

    One possible way to inspect a sessionstore.js file or a file in the sessionstore-backups folder is open in a Firefox tab and to evaluate that JavaScript code in the Web Console (Firefox/tools > Web Developer).

    Paste the code into the Web Console command line and press the Enter key to evaluate the code.

    eval("ss = "+document.body.innerHTML.replace("<pre>","").replace("</pre>",""));
    sd='';
    for (var i = 0; i < ss.windows[0].tabs.length; i++) {
     var ent = ss.windows[0].tabs[i].entries;
     var last = ent[ent.length-1];
     sd+="["+(i+1)+"]:"+"<a href="+last.url+">"+last.url+"</a><br />";
    }
    document.body.innerHTML=sd;

  • I've updated to 41.0 FF and Flash 19; Firefox no longers is asking to activate the Flash, despite telling me to do.

    Previously, I was asked to leave Flash to run in all cases; now it works selectively (as on the Adobe website, but NOT on Youtube). This means that on Youtube (and many other sites), Flash runs without my allowing him to do so. THE BAD!

    )

    For most Firefox users, YouTube is no longer using the Flash and instead uses a HTML5 video player. Here's how to check that:

    Right click on the drive, and you should get a popup to short. The last line of the menu short should indicate if the HTML5 player or Flash Player. If you get the regular Firefox context menu, press and release the ALT key to erase that side of YouTube menu.

    HTML5? Here are a few workarounds to regain control:

    (1) use the extension Flash Control to stop HTML5 video (and Flash video) AutoPlay

    (2) YouTube forces use Flash instead of HTML5. There are a few modules for this. Either of them will do, you don't need both:

    I heard that these don't work for YouTube integrated on other sites.

  • Firefox will not open at all, after the last update (13.08.2015).

    After the update (40.0.2 @ 13.08.2015) just used Firefox open. The process is visible in the Task Manager, but does nothing. no window. JUST. NOTHING. It works only in safe mode or when ran as administrator. I tried other computers from home too. Same thing.

    How to fix?

    Try a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

    If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

    Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

    Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

  • Firefox does not open. Keep saying the profile is missing. There is no profile of AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\

    I get the error message saying "unable to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible.

    I checked Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
    C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\

    Only thing it is a folder called Firefox and in that one a file called crash report.

    There is no not called "profiles.ini" file so I have no way to access the Profile Manager and uninstall + remove manually all related Firefox folders/files and reinstall Firefox does not solve my problem.

    I have no idea what to do to get out of here to go to solve this problem or difficulty why Firefox doesn't work anymore even when the reinstalled.

    Also try to delete the folder to the location of the cache in AppData\Local.

    As you have noticed, Firefox 38 presents dialog boxes Options/preferences based on the tabs, and this could be a little problem with the settlement data tab for a reason (it is based on a bug in new code or an add-on or other factors).

    If you are prone to a little more troubleshooting, could you try Mode without failure of Firefox to see if cookies are visible here? Details below.

    If you prefer to go back to the old dialog instead, there is a way to do it.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

    Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
