29 Firefox on Linux: no Flash (28 works very well)

I am very impressed with the new 29 of Firefox, but I wonder how long until that Flash will work. Everything on the web I see "you want to install the plugin required to view content on this page?" and if I click Yes, it appears a window saying "No plugin found." I still have 28 installed Firefox and it works fine. I thought it was just a matter of time-biding, but as I looked around I'm starting to doubt. Solution?

Run Firefox on Fedora 20 29.

I was able to work around it, but I'm open for the best solutions. Here's what I did:

I uninstalled never 28 built-in Firefox (and 29 did not at rest); If all the files are in the same place, except that I replaced/usr/bin/firefox by the new Firefox (of course, to save the former).

I found the (old) plugins in/usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins /.
I copied all the in ~/.mozilla/plugins (which already existed, but was empty).

You can also try putting the plugins 'always ask' in manager addons firefox to get a similar functionality with the flashblock extension.

Use Firefox with flash 10.3.183.75 20.0.1, can not see the video if its built-in Flash. Can see perfectly if they are not incorporated. Chrome works very well.

I had simliar problems both at home and at work while using Firefox. IE and chrome works very well in these two places.

While I am at home, and not using any proxy, it worked after disbaling spdy i.e. network.http.spdy.enabled set to false.

However, when I'm at work (by browsing through a proxy, Ironport in this case) and it does not work. I noticed that it is not only the keyword google search or google sites, but none of the https / ssl working site. He invites me repeatedly for authentication of the proxy, and even if I type my proxy username and password, it does not work.

I have been with older versions of firefox for a while and have not had this kind of problem before.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument directive to manage demand. Found the problem - it's a HT Access file on the site itself. Deleted the file and 10.0.2 works very well.

Java plugin is not loading in Firefox 4.0b11, but it works very well in 3.6.13 (and in Google Chrome too). It worked in Firefox 4 before, but broken somewhere around beta 5. libnpjp2.so is not really in the plugins folder, but it is a symlink: /libnpjp2.so -> /usr/lib/jvm/ia32-java-6-sun-1.6.0.12/jre/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so. When running the command line, I see FF tries to load other plugins of symbolic links (most associated with totem) but do not because they are amd64 and FF is built in 32-bit. But none of the messages on libnpjp2.so (which IS 32 bits).

Java 1.6.0.12 is old enough, then you can try to install the latest version of Java 6 U23.

Programs cannot connect to the internet, while IE8 and firefox work very well on the internet.

I used google chrome as my default browser, but one day it stopped working, while firefox and IE always worked / work fine now. When google chrome no longer works, all my programs stopped to connect to internet, like Skype, itunes, WMP, etc. The itunes gives error me is "make sure that your network connection is active and try again. When I download programs through to firefox or IE8, now my default, they download but used to install or connect to the internet (I tried to reinstall chrome after that deletion but it will not be completed). I was certain this isn't the router or the Internet itself, my wireless works very well to navigate through the Internet and other computers on the network do not have this problem. problem when I connect to other wifi networks. The help and support center will not be to the point after that I click on it. I use windows xp sp3 home edition 2002. I looked through the other threads to see if I can solve the problem, check the exceptions in the firewall, disabling firewalls and other security, running an antispyware/malware, someone suggested (super antispyware), lowered or disabled security settings, but all without success. Thanks for the replies. I have try to disable hardware acceleration, but probably no connect fees. My only add-on is edge of adblock and I disabled it for the site. The thing is, I don't want to disable either of these elements. I'll just start firefox in safe mode, if I need to access my beneficiaries. I was hoping that someone may know something that is bad in my profile that has carried over from previous versions or another kind of corruption. It seems strange that an entire site could work very well with hardware acceleration, but not to this one point.
