I created 3 new collections that I need to sync... and Lightroom for desktop computer is just sitting there saying sync 28 pictures (of which there are 39 to synchronize) and their synchronization does not despite being connected and saying sync is turned on.  What is going on?

  Could you try to delete the sync.lrdata file, and then restart LrD. It would restart/refresh sync (metadata only).

  Remove the Sync.lrdata can solve everything that is the question.  Or, at least, could trigger to reproduce. So to remove the Sync.lrdata start Lr and wait until he either synchronize or gets stuck again and creates a new diagnostic log that can at this stage we hope to provide some clues.

  You can find the file sync.lrdata here:

  On Mac, it's to /Users/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/Sync Data / Sync.lrdata

  On the victory, it would be in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\Caches\Sync Data\Sync.lrdata

  Hello, this can happen when firefox is not able to correctly save preferences in the profile folder. Please try this: click the menu button

  

  then click on help

  

  > troubleshooting information > profile folder - 'display the folder '. then a new window will open. in this search on a file named user.js window (it can be used to overwrite your custom settings). where it is present, delete or rename this file and then restart firefox.

  I put t know why it happens but I read several post in this forum and it seems that this problem has disappeared after completely new recovery with the delivered Toshiba Recovery CD.

  Not really a deadlock, as the machine stops completely, no lights. It can be restarted, but just once and only for a few moments. After that, it will not start for several minutes.   You may need to associate the PPT file correctly with the PowerPoint program.

  I do not know what operating system so you have and I'll give you the steps for Windows Vista.

  1. click on start / Control Panel
  2. click on programs
  3. open default programs
  4. open "associate any type of file or Protocol with a program.
  5. search in the list, PPT and PPTX and make sure that they are associated with Powerpoint and not Powerpoint Viewer.

  Thank you for your message.  If you want to withdraw your option set to the option "Turn off computer", you can make the following registry edit.

  Click Start > click Run > type regedit and press "Enter."

  Navigate to:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ACPI\Parameters.

  Right-click in the empty space in the right pane and select new | DWORD value.

  Attribute value name

  Then, double-click attributes

  Make sure hexadecimal is selected by breaking 70

  Click OK, close the registry editor and restart.

  Now when you choose to stop the computer in the start menu in XP, you will not be able to choose the day before by accident.

  Double check all settings in the crop tool and make sure that you are not say things to create an image of HUGE due to your settings.

  This morning tried to open 5 Lightroom, which worked without any problems. Today, I got the message "must stop". I uninstalled the program, with the idea that reinstall can fix this problem. I have a card to download software with the registration key. I can't reinstall using the 24 method install numbers (no dialog box for the key entry does appear), can someone give me a steer on a solution? May seem a bit Basic for some users, however, I am self-taught and have little experience of computing, 'death of basis' approach answers would be very helpful
