30EA2 - sourcecode

Hello
I want to ask about the Completion list - is possible to select the first line in the list by default (as the old style list completion)? If I typed in SQLD v 2.1 and typed the name column and in the completion list was that a column name, the name of this column has been selected. I pressed Enter only.
Now, I have to use the arrow for the selection of list items.
Petr

Automatic selection has been disabled because no there was no other way to enforce entry, which means 'new line' (despite the unwanted popup completion list). If you explicitly call completion, then self-selection is there, but I must say that you have an extra touch anyway. I'm open to suggestions how to improve it.

    Hello

    I have a question for SQL Developer dev team.
    Could you explain to me why the function of "tasks" (TODO, TASK, FIXME tags lighting, tasks prefs, task markers in the code) has disappeared since 30EA2 has been published?
    This feature has been enabled in 30EA1, but I can't find in 30EA2 or 30EA3.
    It was a very useful feature!

    For your information, it was asked here [url http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=42626:39:3296899072186900:NO:P39_ID:581] and marked as fact, in version 3.0, but it's not: (.)

    Thank you!

    FOR INFO:

    1. This has been activated as a side effect of another development (so untested, etc.), which explains why it has been deleted
    2. deliberately put & ensuring that references etc. work correctly are on the list of candidate for version 3.1 features
    3. I will ask someone with permissions to modify the status of feature request

  • 30EA2: Keep Getting "redevelopment" dialog box that never ends during Migration

    I get a dialog box which is soberly titled "Upgrade" in the Migration Wizard. Initially, I was getting it over the stage? (Selection of the repository). I simply tap the Cancel button and it seemed to allow me to move forward, but then no data have been identified in step 5 of the Wizard (screenshot).

    Then I tried offline migration and now I get the dialogue when I click on the button 'Finish' at the end of the Wizard (step 9). The "Cancel" button is disabled and only the 'Close' button is available. When I click on 'Close' to clear the dialog box, I get an error in the wizard: "cannot use this connection for the Migration repository, no update available."

    Upgrade, Upgrade, Upgrade... What hell he is talking about?

    The migration repository was created using an older version of SQL Developer? In this case I delete the repository and create it using 30EA2.

  • 30EA2 - UNIT TESTING - value dynamic query truncating dates time.

    So I use the installation of SQL Developer Unit Testing (very nice by the by) for a bit now and just recently upgraded to the latest beta version (3.0.02.83). Looks like a bug has been introduced by which the dynamic query of value are truncate all time of all DATE data type information.

    This causes sadness serious for my current test cases and for me since I have to go back to the previous beta version :)

    I noticed that, in the new 30EA2 parameter:

    AddVMOption - Doracle.jdbc.mapDateToTimestamp = false

    has been introduced by default in

    [SQLDEveloper_install_dir]/sqldeveloper/bin/sqldeveloper.conf

    Perhaps it has something to do with the behavior of incorrect date, try to remove the parameter and check again.

    The above code compiles and runs correctly, but the second function of the package (f2) hides the contents of the package to view in the browser of the object and the viewer of contour. Change the string in double quotes, as he had the q '[' quoting convention reveals the spec of package in the views of navigator body. It seems that any set of braces is subject to this question {}, [], (), <>, however single character delimiters such as ~ as q'~ text ~' work very well.

  • 30EA2 - No. databases available at the stage of Capture with the MS Access Migration

    I am trying to import an Access 2007 database by using the Migration Wizard. But when I get to step 5 (Capture), no database is listed in the section 'Available databases'. I have created a connection to the Access db and can see objects in ot of SQL Developer.

    What Miss me?

    Can I use the SQL Developer Microsoft Access exporter to create the desired files. But I do not know how to integrate this into the process.

    It seems the only available migration technique is to click on the MS Access connection and then click on "copy to Oracle.

    I use SQL Developer 3.0.02 and MS Access 2007 (although I tried with MS Access 2000 as well).

    Hi Ken,

    Cradle of the last sheet code developing sea jan 12 - in my view, there is little or no substantive changes required for the release of the adopter later than at the beginning.

    1/create and populate/associate one repository: connection (with sqldeveloper specific tables)
    Create the connection to the new schema
    Right-click on the connection-> rtepository-> associated migration reposiory Migration
    2/create a login for the online move data
    3/create a destination oracle schema
    4/kickoff of the exporter:
    Tools-> migration-> Microsoft Access exporter-> (choose the version)
    The Microsoft Access exporter you choose Exit to SQLDeveloper (which is
    -a xml for the metadata file and
    -possibly move the dat files for the data in the table offline)
    and you can choose the microsoft access file
    -the access file you need to modify the access file to allow access to the metadata needed to create the xml file: see before the migration of Microsoft Access Help.
    5 / the kickoff of the wizard
    Tools-> Migration-> migration->
    in the wizard
    Then-> choose repository-> then connection-> the name of the type on the top and a new directory (or a directory previously used for this purpose) on the bottom, it's a base directory for example creation generated script output and possibly given offlline move scripts-> next-> offline, choose your xml file created by the Microsoft Access exporter (it must filter down xml files to make visible the xml files (, the file selector)-> then-> (note contains selected databases ) next-> then->
    Choose the destination oracle schema
    [I guess it comes to your own instance of XE small scratch - otherwise, you'll need to make sure that you grant privileges to this scheme, in my case that a schema has been created, called ]
    [suggest drop oracle targets option if you've run through it before]
    -> datamove online, choose source (access) and the destination schema (oracle)
    [suggest data truncated if you have lived this before]
    -next-> finish

    This kicks off you could get errors in the cmd window you launched it in by
    CD sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin
    . \sqldeveloper
    or in the logging pane.
    There is a .sql file generated (a subdirectory off) the output base directory.

    (1) SQL Developer 3, I don't see the possibilities to specify one file, xml or otherwise, during the migration Assistant before step 5. Can you be more specific on where you're talking about choosing a file?

    ("To pick up in access file is an .xml file of the exporter instead of a .ocp file (you must change the file type in the file dialog box) (the main file seems to default to the .xml)" ")

    You can choose the option offline (as indicated in the instructions above), which will then choose a file (by default .ocp but a .xml filter files is also available)

  • 30EA2 - SQL Developer Vs Index SQL/Plus functional on column Date

    I just spotted this while using EA3.2, but it may also exist on other versions, I will consider. I'm on a 9i 9.2.0.7 box, but will see if I can recreate on an instance of 10 or 11

    The question is, if I create a shadow table

    CREATE TABLE paul_test
    (
    CREATION_DATE DATE,
    DATE of creation_date2,
    last_updsate_date DATE,
    date of last_updsate_date2
    )
    ;

    If I then create a functional index on creation_date via SQL Dev:

    create index pt_idx1 on paul_test (nvl (creation_date, ' 01-JAN-4000'));

    and create a functional index on creation_date2 via SQL more

    create index pt_idx2 on paul_test (nvl (creation_date2, ' 01-JAN-4000'));

    What I see when you perform a describe table statement and looking at the index or when querying ALL_IND_EXPRESSIONS on the table TABLE_NAME is the following:

    SQL Dev index is: NVL("CREATION_DATE",'01-JAN-4000')

    The Index of over SQL is: NVL ('CREATION_DATE2', TO_DATE ('4000-01-01 00:00:00 ',' yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss'))))

    Why are they not compatible?

    If I then fill up with 1 million rows and fill creation_date/creation_date2 with enough data to make no small enough value I then collect statistics on the table and explain the plans of selects on creation_date/creation_date2 via SQL dev. and SQL Plus what I see, it's different

    The select on creation_date2 says plan is different between Dev SQL and SQl Plus. SQL Dev does not seem to be implicitly convert the '' 01-JAN-4000 in a date.

    Their behaviour are not the same?

    Then the problem may be due to different configurations of NLS between SQLPlus and SQLDeveloper, try to check the date format configured NLS in SQLPlus and SQLDeveloper.

    You can change the date format in SQLDeveloper, NLS of:

    Tools-> preferences - ZDatabase-> NLS

    Hi James-

    You are running (3.0.02.37) EA1, ai2 (3.0.02.83) would say "Configuration for server...". "(or may flash by too quickly to see according to the connection speed).

    Query in EA1 Builder tries to load metadata for everything when you open it.

    In ai2 it changed to Just-In-Time (and only within the scope) loading model.

    Good news:

    • Consumption of memory no more massive or hanging of Query Builder.

    • Metadata for the referenced objects in terms of loading only.

    Compromise:

    • More a break on drag - move or spend the worksheet for Query Builder to load the metadata for each new data object (not yet recovered).

    • Menu of context 'add items... '. "deleted. (Only loading the metadata for the referenced objects in reality == no dialogue except things loaded via drop or SQL, so better do not make it.) BUT schema browser (in the context menu for the connection) provides a similar filter capacity & you can drag and drop from there to requester.

    See thread: 3.0.02.37 EA1: Query Builder Performance with grand scheme? for more history if you're interested.

    The changes were that simply the message to apple is not the complete message. Can send the complete message if necessary.

    Older versions of iphoto are break when they use the functionality of the site.  Slide show you uses it maybe places?

    The problem is, that Apple has not renewed the contract with Google for access to location servers, and older versions of iPhoto will plant it, when they need to find a location and try to access Google's servers.

    See this: Bug: iPhoto 9.4 crashing when viewing the scene

    You have several options as described in the tip of the user:

    • Try to upgrade to a version of iPhoto that uses different servers, if you can update to iPhoto 9.6.1 on Sierra. IPhoto 9.5.1 find use serve various places of research.
    • Patch iPhoto to delete the iPhoto Application package Java script code
    • Patching javascript files and add your own for Googles servers access key.
  • iPhoto 9.4.2 hangs after reconstruction

    Any help would be appreciated. iMac 21.5 inch end 2012 processor 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 8BG 1600 MHz DDR3 Nvidia GeForce GT 650 M 512 MB graphic
