33 Firefox fonts is blurred

Hi, I have recently updated to Firefox 33, unfortunately, the police is blurred, as for example when searching for things in YouTube with a list of suggestions.

Is it possible to disable this blurry font and do as the police as in Firefox 3.6 where it wasn't blurred?

Firefox 3.6? Wow. It is difficult to remember at this point.

Do you know if your Firefox uses hardware acceleration? Who can help with anti-aliasing of fonts, but it can also trigger incompatibilities with older display drivers. You can check on the troubleshooting information page. Either:

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
  • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
  • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

If you scroll down to the heading "Graphics" and look in the table below, you see a row for "GPU accelerated Windows" indicating if it is enabled (football match in the numerator/denominator) or off (numerator is always 0).

Here's another password Firefox 3.6. Starting from Firefox 22, your pages is "zoomed" in accordance with your settings of Windows, to better support high DPI screens. For example, if you have a medium setting for Windows (e.g. font size, 125% / 120dpi), Firefox will automatically apply to the pages.

There are two possible approaches to this issue:

(1) fight against Firefox websites with an add-on like zoom

(2) force Firefox to return to the traditional 96 DPI and an another add-on allows to enlarge the menu/toolbar area. Here's the background on this:

Zoom factor

The following parameter governs both the content and the box area "chrome" (menus, toolbars and tabs). You can adjust the value, but it may be difficult to find just the right number:

(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

(2) in the filter box, type or paste the pix and make a pause so that the list is filtered

(3) double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and change its value to 1.0 for Firefox 21 size fonts or choose report higher for larger fonts. For example, 1.25 corresponds to the font size of 125% in the Windows display settings. You may need to switch to the other windows/tabs to see how it affects the.

The tricky part is that 1.0 makes the content of normal size, but generally displays the area of chrome somewhere between almost unreadable and invisible.

If you can't find a compromise of good size, think about these extensions to adjust the size of the text menu and toolbar:

Is there an easy way to do this?
    Thanks for any help

(Please keep in mind that I'm a recruit of code/script)

It's a pixel font (bitmap) and these policies no longer work in the current versions of Firefox.

If you really want to use such a font bitmap, then you need a version of the real type of the police.

You may need to update some plug-ins. Check your plug-ins and update if necessary:

  • rendering of fonts is Blur / Blur

Occasionally, text on a Web page appears blurred but if I scrolling becomes obvious.

  • After installing firefox font change 9

Because I had problems with most of the Web pages in Firefox, I uninstalled the program. Then I installed Firefox 9.
Since then, the Web pages are not good with the displayed fonts. Almost all of the text is bold or italic.
It is, after installation, also the case with Google Chrome and even in Microsoft Word. In Microsoft Word could I still only get letters "BOLD" font Times New Roman

Sounds that one or more fonts in Windows are damaged and in this case you must remove or reinstall the corrupted fonts.

You can do a test of fonts to see if you can identify the corrupted fonts.

  • Fonts/words blurred and are not sharp when I go online

Text on the pages seem blurry and not sharp at all.

Hi melmemdj, this is probably caused by kb3013455 of update from microsoft that can cause problems of rendering fonts on vista:

After you have installed the 3013455 security update, you may notice a degradation in quality of text in some scenarios. The problem occurs only on systems running Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP2. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.

    Reference: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/3013455

an option may be to tackle this particular update for now until there is a fix from microsoft or you could also look at if there is a graphics driver update available on the Web site of the seller (intel/amd/nvidia) which could also be solved this problem in some cases.

I attach a screenshot comparison 31.2 IceCat. The fonts used are clearly the same, I see that in

  • Stupid question: why tinytots (and other similar fonts) will not work in Firefox?

I am a user of Tumblr, if of course if I had to work on a theme, I would like to see the fonts that I have chosen to serve. In Chrome, everything seems as it should usually (relative to the fonts). In Firefox, I respond specifically to these two browsers so my theme seems not completely horrible. In my opinion, only a browsing experience more could be made if Firefox showed fonts such as tinytots for more than just me, but for someone else who is perhaps not brave enough to post about it. This brings me to another question: I'm just ranting or is it possible I can see these fonts and not know about it?

    This isn't a stupid question.

Google Chrome has its own library of fonts.

Mozilla Firefox runs Windows fonts library.

To run on Firefox fonts, they must be installed on Windows and then Firefox must be restarted.

Sometimes, Web sites do not use the correct font name and the police is found, even if it is installed.

A good website designer would design a Web site with backup for users to load fonts if they do not have the installed font.

Update: I found that just by clicking on the Office has also the problem disappears.

You may have disabled use of Firefox graphics acceleration hardware before and simply not turned off again to your new profile.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

  • Obnoxious emoticons in firefox 50.0

I don't really like for those emoticons that have been introduced in firefox 50.0, particularly the snail that I joined. I don't know why, it bothers me. Stop smiling.

is it possible for me to change the way they were without having to upgrade or something?

Oh... Firefox 50 grouped together in a set of fonts called Emoji One (http://emojione.com/) and at first glance, I see not a way for her return to everything that you were using before.

The police is physically located here (standard Firefox 32-bit on Windows 64-bit):

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\fonts\EmojiOneMozilla.ttf

I don't know what would happen if you were to hide this file, but you can try it: release of Firefox, rename the fonts in NOfonts folder, and then restart Firefox. If Firefox goes crazy, you can reverse the process.

  • Text and PDF is faded, semi transparent and unreadable.

    Hello
Since the installation of Firefox 6, when I tried to open a PDF file, the image looks like it summer flows in a bad copy machine that is almost out of ink and is semi-transparent. (I can see the background image to display on my desktop via the PDF). I have Adobe Reader X 10.1.0 installed version, which seems to be the last plugin. (I checked all my plug-ins Adobe are up-to-date and also disabled every plugin but Adobe Acrobat and the problem persists.) I also noticed this problem with some of the text in the Flash applications, I opened it, such as practical a quiz site for a manual that I use for school. This does not occur in Internet Explorer, or when I open a PDF file in the viewer Adobe, leading me to think it's a Firefox problem. It's pretty frustrating that I can't read my documents online or study for my exams using Firefox, because overall, it's my browser of choice. Counsel on how I can try to fix this problem? Thank you.

I have Firefox 6 (but several versions have the same problem) and was faced with the same problem and finally found the Solution. Firefox has hardware acceleration is enabled by default. You must disable.

You can do it under Tools-> Options-> advanced. Uncheck the hardware acceleration

1, type about: config in your address bar and promise to be careful, then search in gfx.direct2d.disabled preference name.
    Double-click the preference to True.

2, check disable it Firefox Direct2D and DirectWrite Hardware Acceleration.
Find the name of the preference gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.enabled .
    Double-click the preference to false.

Restart Firefox. You should get clear, sharp images as well as correct rendered PDF back. It worked for me!
