39 of Firefox does not hotlink protection on Apache servers

An ISP (VentraIP) confirmed my observations. Apparently, if you enable protection hotlink on the files selected for example style.css, you can use Firefox 39 typing a URL of type http://www. [webname].com/style.css and Viola!] You suddenly; see the content of style.css. Try it with Google Chrome or Safari 8.x and the hot link works by prohibiting access to style.css (or be re-directed to a shtml 404.txt or another web page).

The ISP is certain that this is a bug in the flagship of Mozilla for web browsing software. Initially I thought is was a bug in the Apache Web server, but not so according to the Internet service provider.

Is it really a bug in Firefox 39?

The sponsor is only used to verify that you have clicked on a link to a specific page (i.e. a link on a page of your domain).

You can see the sponsor (referring URL) in "tools > Page Info > general".
In many cases only a bad Godfather could prevent a server from sending of protected content and not in the case the sponsor is blocked (i.e. no sponsor is received).

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

  • I said that I have to install Chrome to place an order at Walmart. What should the Chrome that Firefox does not work?

I have placed several orders of Wal-Mart before today using Firefox without any problems. But today, nothing but problems. I tried for more than 4 hours, get this order to cross. I told cat line of Walmart and told me that I have to install Chrome to place an order. They don't answer when I asked if Walmart belonging to Chrome.

I deleted the cookies and cache and restarted but none of this has worked. While Chrome has that Firefox does not work? I tried Chrome before and he hated and had a devil of a time he get off my computer. I don't want to go there again.

I have attached a copy of the message that I get seems to indicate that it is a problem within Wal-Mart, but I said that it was with my browser.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and using Firefox 40.0.3.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. I just figured out the problem.

All started when I tried to pay my order at 13:00 this afternoon. I am persistent and don't give up easily. Five hours later, I found an error in their programming, which allowed me to add an item to my shopping cart that was a purchase in store only. But then when I went to pay for it, he became confused and wouldn't let me order but didn't tell me why.

I solved by moving all items in the basket to saved for later and then add one at a time, trying to get to the car after each addition. It took a while because there are 20 items. He had the same problem when I added the item in the store to the cart and tried to pay for it. So I deleted and purchased on Ebay.

Now I know probably as much if not more than any of their populations of the Chat line that can only be read on a book script.

It's a relief that I don't have to use Chrome. I really like Firefox and would not change.

  • Flash for firefox does not work

I checked my computer and it says that flash works but when I go to play games I can't because msg says I need Flash. I've always been able to play the same games before now I can't. all parameters have remained the same, why is today different?

When you are on the site where the game does not load, do you see a notification icon in the address bar?

Notification plugin icon looks like a small Lego block, usually dark gray. If you click on it, it should tell you if the Flash is allowed for the page or if you need to.

If the icon does not appear, Firefox does not recognize the code in the page. If it appears, and Flash is allowed, then the page may have a difficult time in commissioning.

There is a problem with some Flash games does not not in Firefox 40. To see if the game you are playing is affected by this issue (asynchronous loading), you can try this modification of the parameters:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the IPC and pause while the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference dom.ipc.plugins.asyncInit to change its value from true to false

I don't know which begins to take effect immediately, or if you leave Firefox and start it again.

Return to the page with the game, then reload the page (you can click on the circular arrow in the address bar) to see if it will work now.

    A little luck?

  • Firefox does not start after the places.sqlite opening in Notepad

Firefox does not load again. I tried to create a large folder of bookmarks, but I wanted them to hide so I tried to be clever and create a copy of my current places.sqlite who had no bookmarks added and moved elsewhere, then I added bookmarks and once that replace the current places.sqlite then I created a copy of this and put it elsewhere for more security and then I replaced it with the first places.sqlite I had copied. I had to go through that much trouble because for reasons, I was unable to delete the bookmarks by right-clicking and selecting delete. I had already tried to open places.sqlite in Notepad and since then is when it started to happen. I tried to reset the file extension type, or rather detached, but I can't figure out how. I also tried to remove completely any Mozilla partner, restarted my computer and then reinstall Mozilla, but it didn't work and I prefer not to try again or uninstall it because my computer has a very difficult time even boot Windows 10. He likes to get on the desktop and then never hang while I have to restart the computer continuously until it works.

Can someone tell me what to do or where it is that I was wrong?

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

If you keep the problems, and then create a new profile.

There is no not called "profiles.ini" file so I have no way to access the Profile Manager and uninstall + remove manually all related Firefox folders/files and reinstall Firefox does not solve my problem.

I have no idea what to do to get out of here to go to solve this problem or difficulty why Firefox doesn't work anymore even when the reinstalled.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.
