• Live Paint objects overlapping extruded and beveled

  I have a Celtic design which has sections I want to overlap, but I extruded and beveled to make more realistic metallic look.  I have tried to widen its appearance before performing the live painting, but "live painting" option is used in output in the menu... What can I do to live paint this object without losing the appearance of 3d?  If I sketch the lines first and then doing live painting... it loses all its extrude and bevel.  Help!

  Oooh I found a way... it's a bit tedious, but it works!

  I've dissociated and put copies of two components I want to ride on a new layer, in place...

  Then I do a current overlapping areas clipping mask...

  This cut mask then sits on top of the underlying section that wasn't right layers and now puts the object from the bottom up!

  I now do with each duplication where I want to put the object from the bottom to the top... but it's worth for the awesome effect!

  Then you can change the 3-d effect again and adjust the depth, lighting etc.

  What I would like is to create a modifiable object path as it appears with the 3D effect applied, so Illustrator treats the effect as 'flat', if you know what I mean

  I am currently using two different versions of Illustrator, one on my laptop and the other on my new desktop computer. I cs5.5 on my laptop and cs6 on my desk and I recently encountered a problem. I created a company on cs5.5 logo and inside use exturde and bevel for the three rings. These resize well on my laptop but when I transferred the work on my desk now if I resize the logo at all, it seems something very strange happens over time and sometimes increases or fail to shrink as the logo is narrowed.

  Any thoughts?

  Is it possible these methods on a path of script item. If Yes can you please include a small example.

  I need this for CS6, but it might also be ok if it works just with CC.

  Sorry, there is no access to the effects... you could however create and apply these effects by hand, create a Style (also handmade) on the effects applied... now, you can apply the graphic Style to any object via script... Yes, it's all we can do, not useful if need to change the settings for the effect.

  I doubt that this is possible because I think that scratches are on the plastic cover and you can't repolish the surface plastic.

  It might be possible to furbish and refinishing the entire surface, but this means that you will need to disassemble the whole laptop and that would cancel your warranty.

  I think the best solution is to contact the ASP technician who could replace the scratched plastic cover.

  Looks like you have may not be found where to change the settings. Try this:

  At the time of type start screen. Select settings in the right-hand (charms). Select the Date and time on the left side. This should take you to the desktop and the selections to change the date and time and time zone. After making these changes, there is a tab at the top that says Internet time, if the choice you can select time.windows.com - hope this helps!
