4065 dv7 dx, is it compatible bluetooth?

Hi all

I have a 2009 Win 7 dv7 4065 and want to add a bluetooth headset. It gives me the possibility to activate the bluetooth detection, but not quite with the images which indicates the HP support site. Anyone know if there is a compatible portable bluetooth, or I have to get a dongle?

Here are the options that I get when I search "bluetooth" in the control panel:

When I click on "View devices and printers", I tried to click on 'Add a device' and value my earpiece discoverable. Nothing to do.

I then clicked on Windows Mobile Device Center and get this:

So, it seems that there is the option. I'm keeping this check box to allow the connections, but still nothing.

Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

JRCJ

According to the specifications of the dv7-4065dx product, it doesn't have built-in bluetooth capability.  At this point, you must have an adapter bt (dongle) for it to work.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

Supported wireless cards are listed in Chapter 3, beginning on page 23.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02657339.PDF

Are the only cards that will work and you need to get one of those listed with HP part number on it as well, or it won't work.

I guarantee none of them won't work, but you can order from HP and they will probably take it back if it doesn't work.  After all, what are those indicated in the service manual for your laptop.

I have a Pavilion dv7-6178us laptop 'hand', and I would like to change the existing hard drive.  I understand that it came originally with a 750 GB SATA drive at 5400 RPM, but I inherited mine with only 100 GB SATA, OUCH!  I would like to upgrade my drive to a SSD for the best possible performance, and then add a larger disk for storage.  When you are looking for different drives, I came across SATA I, SATA II and SATA III and I can not figure out which is compatible with my computer or what he came originally with.

Which SATA (I, II or III) is compatible with the dv7-6178us?

What is the largest compatible SSD, or should I expect for the best performance?

What is the greatest player I can additionally ADD the SSD for storage?

Which SATA (I, II or III) is compatible with the dv7-6178us? Specification the SATA is backward compatible. This means that disks SSD SATA type will work in your notebook. The SSD will be made only to the level of specification SATA your SATA controller is capable of. If the controiller is SATA150 so your SSD SATA600 installed work bandwidth SATA150.

What is the largest compatible SSD, or should I expect for the best performance? , You can install one with the largest capacity you can afford.  I would recommend not to install a larger than 512 GB. My own brand preferences are Intel, OCZ Technology, Samsung and SSD Crucial.  Purchase of the SSD in upgrade kit is the simplest solution. Upgrade kits come with a SATA to USB cable and cloning software making it a fairly simple process to upgrade the laptop. See the post-it that I wrote at the top of the section of portable equipment for some details on this.

What is the greatest player I can additionally ADD the SSD for storage? I recommend you not to install any disk hard legacy with a capacity greater than 1 terabyte. There is no guarantee that a superior who will work as expected.

The following information is the maintenance guide & computer Support laptop dv7 to refers to the physical size of existing hard drives.

    6.35 cm (2.5 in) drives supports hard drives to 12.7 mm (. 50 inches), 9.5 mm (. 37-in) and thicknesses of 7.0 mm (. 28 - in)

  • Dv7 4190SD WIFI 5 GHZ, Bluetooth Combo N-Draft card

    Good day people,

I thought that this would not be a problem, but yet it is:

Because I have a connection in fiber high speed now I need a fiber-optic wireless connection! I now only 59-61 MBPS Wi - Fi, I want it to be at least 90-95Mbps, this goal is achievable by the 5 GHz band.
I did my research on the net and I need a router ADSL fibre, some thing like the Sitecom WL-350, this router is also used for fiber internet and speeds are great, also wireless.
But I also need a wireless card that can run on the 5 GHz channel...
FYI: I now have the Ralink RT3090BC4.
I thought: Let's see the service manual and then I know what I have to buy... No question!

If I read the details right: there is no way to find a compatible card of wireless 5 GHZ Combo with Bluetooth that will work in my laptop? The laptop is like 6 months of age.

Y at - there someone who can help me out here?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

I can confirm that it works on the band 5 GHz. look on the second page of the product.
