4K Inspiron display 7559 (16 GB of ram, 960 m GPU)

Hi, how can I turn off the auto graphics card (dashboard to dedicated)

I want to use only the dedicated GPU (NVidia 960 m) on my laptop.

Thanks in advance

If this is the case (as it often is with Insprons), this system is controlled by software - the GPU Intel only has a connection to the screen and manages all video data - even if it is handled by the nVidia GPU.  You cannot disable the Intel GPU or the GPU nVidia in primary - the equipment is wired such that the nVidia GPU is a co-processor not a true discreet GPU.

I just picked up a new laptop (inspiron 7559 4K display, 16 GB ram, 960 m GPU) and I have a problem with the display. Its always of switching/flicker between the white balance / tone between a true white and bluish white cooler.

It seems to be connected to what colors or lack of, are on the screen. When its just its beautiful text and white. When there is an image or a text in color, the screen switches to the cool bluish white.

also happened when you hover over an image or an area of color (not items that are links or who have special functions)

any ideas what I send that thing again? I'm certainly not satisfied with the new machine.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I experienced exactly the same problem with this laptop (7559 4 k, 16 gb, 960 m).

I managed to get always this problem of color change (change from white to a different shade of wide white-blue) when highlighting text on a Web page.

Its quite irritating as the screen around is affected (not just the app you're using) and there's a twinkle in short when the color change occurs.

HP support were in fact very helpful, has ran a lot of tests, updated all drivers (BIOS, graphics etc etc!), but unfortunately nothing really solved the problem and I returned the laptop.

Others seem to be affected by this title by the youtube video below, which also shows the question quite well.

Its really shame that such a potentially important laptop would have a critical fault like this. If they could solve this problem that I would consider buying it again.

Let us know if you manage to solve this problem!

    Thank you.

  • RAM Dell Inspiron 530 (initially 3 GB of RAM with Vista 32-bit), can be upgraded to more than 4 GB, Windows 7 64-bit?

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with 3 GB of RAM, bought 4 years ago, with Windows Vista 32-bit.

Since then, I've updated for Windows 7 64 bit PC and want to upgrade the RAM to 4 or 6 GB.

Site Web of Dell indicates that memory on the Inspiron 530 is limited to 4 GB.  Is this true with Windows 64-bit?

I thought that with 64-bit Windows, you could spend as long as could be installed in the 4 memory locations, well more than 4 GB of RAM.

    Can someone clarify the situation?

    Panzano

Yes, it's the same motherboard, just a revised reference number.

Better to open the case and check the label on the motherboard.

Here is a list of the different revisions of the same motherboard part numbers

  • Pavilion g6 - 2217cl: the HP Pavilion g6 - 2217cl RAM and CPU/GPU upgrade

    Hey there, I am looking to upgrade the RAM and CPU/GPU on my G6 Pavilion. Here's my current characteristics;

    Laptop model: HP Pavilion G6 - 2217cl

    Operating system: Windows 10 family (x 64)

Current RAM: 6 GB (used 2 slots)

CPU/GPU: AMD A8 - 4500 APU with Radeon HD graphics card

What are the possibilities should I upgrade?

If more information is needed, I'll be happy to provide.

It supports up to 8 GB of memory and the processor can be upgraded to a 10 - 4600M. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

There is no video card to upgrade, but for the models of series AMD A video is contained in the processor itself and an upgrade of the processor also carries with it an upgrade for HD 7640 G HD 7660 G video. It's light but a bit noticeable and clock speed go from 2.8 ghz to 3.2 ghz, which is not huge but noticeable. Memory is a DDR3-1600 module, and you can replace your 2 gig with a 4 gig to spend 6 to 8.

Memory upgrade is as easy as... CPU/APU don't upgrade not so much.

In the old days, I remember that there is such a condition in the bios. However, I can't find in my Z500. Check the bios in your case.

  • Inspiron 15 7559 - upgrade SSD

    Hello world

I recently bought the 7559 Inspiron, 16 GB RAM, UHD/touch screen, 4 GB NVidia, 1 TB HDD and 128 GB of SSD. I already traded on the HARD drive for a 1 to Samsung 850 Pro SSD. I am now considering permutation of the SSD 128 GB for an equivalent of 512 GB. I am aware of which can cause me problems with cloning as the 128 GB is the C: drive, but my question is SATA and PCIe.

The current SSD is a CM871 M.2 2280 128 GB Samsung. What I want to replace this with is a Samsung 950 PRO 512 GB SSD - 2280 m2 - MZ-V5P512BW - 3.0 PCIe x 4 (NVMe). However, I can't determine if it would work at the location of my Inspiron 7559 m2. The existing SSD seems to be SATA and the replacement of favorite a PCIe, but I do not know if the 7559 has a switchable M.2 port as some motherboards.

So my questions are - can the Inspiron 7559 take the card PCIe Samsung 950 m2 Pro and if not can anyone recommend a good map of M.2 512 GB SSD to replace my existing 128 GB SSD card?

    Thank you

The port of m2 on this model is SATA-only - it will not load a disc M.2 PCIe or M.2 NVME.

The line of Samsung Evo m2 SATA drives will work fine.

  • Can I upgrade an end iMac 2014 with 5 K retina display up to 64 GB RAM?

Hi, I have an iMac with Retina Display 5 K at the end of 2014. It is maximally in each record except the RAM. I heard that the new iMac end 2015 can manage up to 64GB, despite what Apple has posted on their specifications (32GB). The end of 2014 iMac can also manipulate the 64 GB? My drive is 3 TB Fusion.

Unfortunately, only the end of 2015 iMac supports 64 GB of RAM. IMac late 2014 can manage up to 32 GB of RAM, but nothing more.

  • Possible problem of GPU on Dell Inspiron 15 7559

    Hello

I opened my new Inspiron 7559 today, after updating all the drivers, including the NVIDIA card, so I installed the League of legends, from the first game, I noticed my FPS was about 130 and should Cap around here, I found this weird like the laptop I was coming before it was an older model of Dell and he had run the game quite well to 215 other FPS thing I noticed is the game freezes at random, on the whole, it is as if my laptop is not followed, although there really good specifications, what is the possible cause?

    Kind regards.

EDIT: Yesterday evening the game completely froze and I had to turn off my laptop and again in operation manually.

Two things to try to stop the gel.

    (1) update the bios

    (2) remove all dell support software

I've done this and have not frozen for a week

  • 5520 Inspiron 15R Core I7 6 GB RAM - Windows Pro 8.1 ataching problems external monitor.

    Hi all

I have a Dell inspiron 15 R 5520 bought in December about 3 month and a half ago. Now, I tried to attach a HDMI Cable VGA for monitor or TV, but it does not work. It's as if the cable is not connected at all.

I have the latest drivers, it seems to work, but somehow, it does not recognize the HDMI output: (.)

If anyone knows something about to help I'll be very gratefull. I really need to work with 2 monitors: (.)

You cannot change a VGA connection with just a cable HDMI - HDMI is digital.  VGA is analog.  You need a D/A converter to make this connection.  For example,.

  • Install an SSD in an Inspiron 3650 I7 6700 16 GB Ram 2 TB hard drive Amd R9 380 graphic and running Win 7 Pro 64-bit

    Hello:

I have the above referenced PC and want to add an SSD (boot with OS drive).  I would like to make this my c: drive ssd.  I want to keep the Windows 7 operating system.  I made the disarmament recovery disks I opened the PC.  I don't want to win 10.

Could someone with their infinite knowledge teach me throughout the procedure with pictures if possible?  What parts do need me if any?

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

I thought I was doing a 512 GB SSD.  The system came with Win 10 Pro 64 bit installation floppies, but I'm used to and prefer to use Win 7.  The idea of cloning seems interesting.  In fact, it looks to the ticket.  What cloning software is recommended.  The priority of the boot in the BIOS change after cloning?  I am concerned with what type of SSD should I purchase (interface, transfer rate, etc.), what cables, if any, and which adapters will be necessary?

At work, I have all my computers run with SSD (OS/startup) and they run like rockets.  This new computer runs great, but with a SSD for the start, program files, "scratch disks", I'll be in the drive hyper.  I'd be in Mary for a bargain price.

Yet once again, thank you very much for you answer quickly.  I have several Dell optiplex computers in office and did not have a problem.

Thank you once again to Osprey

  • The 2020 Inspiron display problems

I have a Dell 2020 bought in August 2012. All of a sudden changed the quality video and everything looks promising and the contrast seems far away. I spent in and each of the settings adjusted, played with resolution, brightness, restored all values by default, etc. and no luck. I've updated the graphics card drivers and no change. I restored the computer to an earlier time to see if we're the recent updates, I have done has problem (Java Update and microsoft updates and ITMU). It seems that the HD quality went wrong and everything is too bright and grainy. I did a check of the system and the only thing that came back was a mistake aero indicating the windows driver has been disabled. I did the check again, and it did not show the 2nd time. Any suggestions? Seems like it should be a home fix versus running in a store.

I don't know if what I did will solve your problem, but I did the following:

I right-click on a vacant space on my desk and has launched the "Graphics properties" program and selected the tab "color improvements."

I adjusted the 'brightness' to-42; 'Contrast' and 40 'Gamma' 0.8. Even if this is not the problem, this makes the computer usable.

Photos and videos are on the dark side but the programs office and internet works fine.

To get the best values that I had photos, office programs and internet images tiled that I've set these values. The values I put may not work for you.

    Good luck

  • Suddenly black or white screen on Inspiron 15 7559 win 10

Since I bought this computer, I had daily issues where the screen goes black randomly and the computer stops responding (even during work) - the power button is always on/on and the computer seems entered the standby or sleep.  The computer don't meet all other orders and only a hard powerdown/restart is possible.

The problem occurs randomly, and I could not there are correlated with any act, program, problem of temperature or other link of causality.  I ran full diagnostics and all software/drivers are updated.  The problem has existed since I bought the computer and has remained since I added memory and a disc SSD of M2 in the open bays.

Initially, I thought it was a configuration hibernate/sleep or power problem, so I did not initially return the computer in the initial period of 30 days.  All my efforts to disable hibernation / sleep settings via GUI and CLI were unsuccessful.

When it works, it works very well.

So far, the problem seems solved since last Thursday.  I worked with a second representative of Dell, who recalled, remote in and worked several other fixes with the Dell tool click 2 difficulty.  I don't have the complete list of the measures taken, but several drivers have been removed, the last reinstalled and the BIOS has been updated with day/reflashed.  If the problem reappears, I'll post again, but it seems fixed.

I don't know exactly where the problem occurred.  While this was happening, I had completely updated first.

In any case, thanks again to Dell support - they responded within 24 hours of my contacts and we were able to effectively solve the problem.  I bought my system from a retailer, but it was still under warranty.

  • your dxdiag shows wrong amount of RAM for your GPU?

I saw a problem came several times on the forums these days in which users report the command the dxdiag reports wrong amount of RAM for the graphics card.  I've seen some users report that the amount is presented as something similar to 750 or 950 MB when they should have between 1-2 GB.

It turns out that it is probably a problem with dxdiag himself.  If the computer has more than 4 GB of system memory or more 1 GB memory GPU, that it will not be reported correctly.  Also, it may not report the correct video card in the report.

Here is an article of Mircosoft on the issue.

To confirm that your GPU has indeed the right amount of RAM I suggest you use an application like GPU-Z.

    I hope it's useful!

  • Cannot find the display driver just after the replacement of the GPU on Satellite P200

I got my laptop yesterday to SAV, because my graphics card has been damaged.

Now I can start Notepad, but in the hardware Manager is only an entry for the VGA, the new map, which should be in the notebook, the Manager cannot be found.

I tried to find it with the plug-and-play, but with no result.
The system is only VGA... After that I tried with a catalytic ATI 8.9 driver. But after installing it do not work too (I restarted the NB)

May I use the wrong driver from ATI, but I can't find an entry for Mobility Radeon HD 2600.
Only Radeon 2600 Hd. I'm not sure; This driver also works for mobility?

Can you give me a link to the correct driver?

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what series of laptop you have.
Then you are sure that another graphics chip has been used?
Are you sure that it is a Mobility Radeon 2600 HD graphics card?

If you are not 100% sure I would recommend contact the technician who changed the GPU and seek clarification; What GPU chip has been used and where to find the driver.

I'd appreciate some feedback from you!
