5.24.13 - copy and paste a web page by right-clicking in Word

I am running Vista. All sudden several months ago when copying and pasting a web page by right-clicking in Word, all glued were HTML code instead of the desired content like images, text, pictures, layout, etc.  Maybe I inadvertingly changed a setting but am not sure.  Can you help me? Thanks for any idea or suggestion.

Hello

As I tried today with MS office 2013 word it works well. You mean it's looking like

First name:

You want to say what version of MS office that you are using?
The browser you are trying to copy HTML pages?

I suggest you do

  • Open a web browser such as Windows Internet Explorer by clicking on the button 'Start' at the bottom left and double-click on "Internet Explorer" in the list of programs.
  • View the Web page that you want to copy, then click on the tab 'Edit' at the top of Internet Explorer
  • Click "Select all" to highlight all the content of the Web page, then click on the right button of the mouse and select 'Copy' in the menu dropdown. This copy of the entire Web page in a temporary memory Clipboard.
  • Open a blank Word document by clicking on the "Start" button, choose "All programs", click on "Microsoft Office" and clicking on "Microsoft Word."
  • Click on the tab 'Edit' at the top of the screen of Word, and then choose "paste special."
  • Select which option paste best suited to your needs. For example, the option "Format HTML" will paste the page copied with all hyperlinks, images, and text formatting intact. "Formatted text" option will stick to the text of a Web page without any of the original, separators of section columns or other formats.

Click 'OK' to copy the Web page in the Word template.

Hope this helps, if same problem restore your system to an earlier time

  • When I copy and paste a web address into an e-mail he did not point out to allow a simple click on the receiver. Is there a way I can do this in Firefox?

It is quite a common event to send friends a thread in a web address for interesting articles or videos (Youtube URL). To make current means that you do a copy and paste into the email. When I was with Aol address presented in bold that allowed the recipient to click on the address to be connected instead of making a copy and paste into the address bar. Is there a way that this can be done in Firefox?

Thanks a lot, I had this problem for so long now. Yours is the only solution that makes it clear how to solve. Still don't understand not why it does not automatically in Firefox as it does in IE but good is not a big constraint... and it does not use new IE! See you soon

  • How copy and paste on Android?

When I reviewed various sites it is often necessary to copy text from a web page or paste text elsewhere on the phone (for example, a password manager application) into a form on a web page. When you use the stock Android browser, this is usually accomplished by a long click on the text or shape. However, when you use Firefox, it doesn't matter. So I would like to know how, when using Firefox on Android, I can copy and paste text. Please keep in mind that the phone that I use - HTC Evo - is a touchscreen device and that there is no physical keyboard.

    Thanks for any help.

We have recently added the ability to copy and paste into web forms: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=611741

This change will be included in the next update which we communicated through the Android Market, or you can test it now in our nightly builds.

  • simple copy and paste problem

I must not have my image correctly recorded or marked or whatever the button is not pressed.  I have an image I want to copy and then paste on another page.  In addition, grab and drag I should be able to "copy" and "Paste" on another page.  What I'm missing here?  Here is a view of my screen that shows what I'm trying to copy.  Something must not be ticked off or something.

    copy image.jpg

Your source image, press Ctrl + A (select all) and then Ctrl + C (copy), navigate to your image of the destination and Ctrl + V (paste). Note: Layers can keep copy & pasting, so approach all those in the source image.

    Good luck

  • Copy and paste a link from Web site

    Hello

    One simple question.

How can I copy and paste a website address, and add as one link in an e-mail, text or another?

I don't know how copy and paste text, but the same method seems to not work for the pages of the site.

    Thank you

    If you use Chrome:

-On the address bar, type once to bring up the full address of the Web page, and then double-tap on the address to mark.

-Shortcuts for cut, copy and paste will appear. Choose copy (two sheets of paper icon).

-Use "recent applications" button display to navigate through the newly opened app and choose your e-mail application.

-Press the message box and choose the paste option.

  • avoid copy and paste of my Web site

What is the best was to prevent a person copy and paste of my Web site

    Short answer: you can't prevent.

Long answer: not to publish sensitive content on the web.

Watermark images strongly with the URL of your name & web site.

Add a copyright notice to your web pages.

If people have a spirit, they can copy anything on the web by taking a screenshot. It is, therefore, no need to worry about this.

  • Firefox does not allow me to copy and paste the content of Web sites. How can I solve this problem?

When I enter this site, there are some areas that FIrefox will allow me to copy and paste. However, if the content is in the pictures, I get a message indicating that options copy/cut/paste is not available in Mozilla and Firefox. Then, the info box wonder if I want more information or to cancel the request. When I ask for more information, the system provides information on changing preferences; However, these measures do not seem to work for me. Help, please.

    Thank you.

What measures have you tried - prefs.js or user.js edition?

My recommendation would be to use Windows shortcuts to cut, copy and paste: Ctrl + x, Ctrl + c and Ctrl + v. You can also use the context menu for these actions. On most websites, you don't really need to use the buttons for these features.

  • When I try to highlight the text my cursor turns into a hand/fist who just drag the page. I need to be able to highlight, copy and paste text.

I have to be able to highlight text on web pages, copy and paste. But when I click on my mouse left button, he made a hand / fist which simply dragged the page.
How can I get to where I can highlight text?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

  • Can not copy and paste, do not click on "Help" Menu

Firefox has just updated to 37.0.2, however, this problem existed before the update. When I try to "copy / paste" one Web page to another, I can right-click and 'copy' but when I try to "stick" to another page, I get a menu that says "Save Page As," menu "Select", etc., but not 'stick '.

Also, I can't click 'Help' at the top of Firefox. All other keys work except this one. The only way I can make it work is open "Customize", then close and the 'help' menu then works.

Someone has any idea how to correct these problems? Thanks for the replies!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

This happens on all sites, or only on certain sites?

Some sites may have "copy" scripts that change what happens when you right-click. To prevent sites from pre-empting the normal context menu of Firefox, try the third "Advanced JavaScript" setting described in this article: JavaScript and their preferences for interactive web pages settings (uncheck the third).

    Does make a difference?

(Incidentally, I noticed on the threads in Google groups if you select widely, the selection is cleared when you do a right click, but if you select a little less, it is not clear.) I have not studied the model in detail).
