5.3 and chenges wide ACS on network devices

Hi, I need to identify a way to modify a large number of ACS 5.3 network devices, name, type and location of update.

Exim is the best solution?

Thank you

Renato

Hello Renato.

Import/export is a good option already.

Another option are Python shell scripts:

  • Impossible to get working on Portege R705 and Z930 WiDi

    So frustrating!

I had a Toshiba R705 (i3, of Best Buy in the USA), which was very nice, until the...

I then started to use it for rally scoring, and wanted to share my screen of 'results' with the big screen TV at the local football club where we organize events, so I bought a WiDi device (Netgear Push2Tv).

After several hours of trying to get the R705 to connect to the NetGear box, I installed the latest drivers Intel Wireless Networking, which has become corrupt and stopped all my network devices, so now that the machine was useless.

I could not connect the PC to SOMETHING more and I was able to back drivers intel so now my sweet little laptop was as useless as the brick of the House. I am so angry, I struck it and broke the screen. I then threw the laptop in the trash in disgust.

After calming down, I have now bought a z930 satellite Ultrabook, which is also very nice (and much faster).

Against my wifes no effort, I am now trying to connect the satellite Z930 to the same Netgear Push2TV.
I have exactly the same mistakes that I had with the old 705.

The Toshiba detects the Netgear, I get the corresponding PIN number etc, and then he said: it's "connection", then after a while, he falls.

EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE I HAD WITH THE R705 RUNNING WINDOWS 7 SE PRODUCED ALWAYS WITH THE Z930 ON WINDOWS 8!

On top of that, myfriend brought his other computer autour and suggested that try us. It is connected, and he shared the screen with the Push2TV a few seconds of starting the WiDi software.

  • VPN authentication and wireless through ACS 5.4

    Hello,

I am  in the process of migrating from ACS 4.1.1.23 to ACS 5.4. I have migrated our users and Network Device Groups and configured external Identity stores like AD and RSA. I want to authenticate our Wireless users with AD and VPN users through RSA. I am unable to create policies to get this UP and working. I need help in this regarding the policy creation.
As I am new to the ACS 5.4 any help with the step by step configuration of the WLAN and VPN
    authentication will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Anand

This is possible by creating access to two Services: one that authenticates with AD and the other against RSA.

Then have need develop a selection of Service policy that will result in one of these two services. One possibility could be NAS-Port-Type in the RADIUS dictionary which should be 'Wireless - IEEE 802.11.

  • ACS 5.1 using Active Directory to manage the strategy of network device Admin

Hi guys, we have configured an ACS 5.1 and integrated with active directory Win2K3, we created two AD groups to manage devices network for administrators and one for operators (read-only), so we have configured a device admin strategy and the two groups work very well, but now we are facing a little problem any user that exists in the AD can connect (user exec mode) network devices and we want to cancel the connection with politics, but we do not know how.

Is there a way to get a user authenticated against acs internal or external group, but at the user level, everything as you can make it to GBA 4.X?

    Thanks for your help!

    Best regards

    Oscar

Yes, you can change that, it's a profile of shell by default. You must create a new one with privilege level "not in use" and select the new profile of the shell (no Directors or Operartors) under Default Device Admin > authorization profile > edit and make changes.

    I hope this helps.

  • Export of 5.2 ACS network devices

I am trying to export our ACS network devices and I can't find out where it exports it. Under 5.2 ACS 'Network devices Resources\Network and the AAA Clients', you get the list of your network devices and at the bottom of the page, there is an export button. When you click on it you are given an option to password protect that I don't check the box, and I pressed Start export. The window flashes as it treated the request, but nothing happens. There is no popup to download the CSV file. I also tried the implementation of a thought of software repo it would just send to that, but it didn't work either.

I just checked this feature on ACS 5.2.

    It works very well.

After clicking on 'Start export', should be another pop-up window to show you "export progress" and "export log". After this is done, you can click 'save file' in this new popup window to save the file on your PC.

You could try a different browser to see if it makes any difference.

  • E/s network device Usermode and ConfigFree protocol error

I have a Toshiba laptop and recently it has not started properly, displaying the following message: "Not found TOSHIBA Network Device Usermode i/o Protocol. Please reinstall ConfigFree. OK ".

I'm unable to use the laptop and it will not close without having (although once it has stopped and rebooted OK and then worked fine for three days we have left it for Christmas and now it does once again). Can someone let me know what does this error message mean and how do I deal with it (I know little about the functioning of my laptop!).

We have Windows XP and are configured for a wireless broadband connection. I'd be wonderfully happy if I could work out what I was forced to move to work rather than working at home today because of this!

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

    The message is clear.

    > Please reinstall ConfigFree.

Then why didn t you reinstall this utility?
If you didn t create the utility CD & Tools you can download this utility from the Toshiba driver page.
Then remove the ConfigFree to add & remove programs, reboot the device and reinstall the ConfigFree.

  • G6-2231dx Pavilion: Pavilion g6-2231dx and Windows 10 lack of network connections

Then...  Where are the pilots 10 compatible of Windows for the g6-2231dx Pavilion?  I know that this OS was just launched yesterday, but an excerpt from the developer is available for some time now and any reasonable person would expect a company as big as HP now have their stuff ready for this deployment.

The latest version of the operating system available on the menu drop-down page downloads & drivers of the g6 is Windows 8.1.  While the Realtek PCIe FE ethernet family and drivers Ralink RT3290 WLAN view and proclaim that they are in perfect working order through the Device Manager, or a connection to the local area network or WLAN connection appear when I opened the section "Manage maps" of the network and sharing Center.

I've tried so far to solve the problem of the measures:

Searched in vain for the site of HP compatible drivers, or at least an explanation of why it is not all the drivers available for Windows 10 on my device. By-the-way, there are a lot of dead links on your site.  Did the same to sites Web of Realtek and Mediatek without any result.  Googling has not helped much either.

Downloaded and installed the latest drivers Windows 8.1, after uninstall of each device (as well as the removal of their files in the system directory) of the Device Manager with a reboot between the two attempts, since the HP website as well as websites of card manufacturers.  No results.

Updated drivers for each devices via Device Manager and manually that it points to the directory where I extracted the drivers. No results.

Disabled features, that I had to do to solve the problems with adapters flakey on the latest operating system from Windows to save energy.  No results.

Rolled back drivers through Device Manager.  No results.

Uninstalled devices again, tried and then install the drivers in compatibility mode. No results.

Tried to install the Realtek drivers which claimed to be compatible with Windows 10 that I acquired through the Lenovo Web site. No post no installed errors, but network connections still do not come under the list, while continued to report as work awesomely by Device Manager!

Editing a registry string by a suggestion in another forum support, but for developers of Windows 10 preview who proposed to change the string of 'dela Jacques = 7' where it was previously set at 5, in my situation.  No results.

The state icon of connection in the system status bar always has a big, big, red X through it, when I left click on the icon, if waiting to see at least a list of available wireless networks, it is completely empty, with the exception of the option to turn on or turn off the airplane mode (Yes, I made sure it's off).

It is quite frustrating and I know this isn't quite exclusive fault of HP/Realtek/Mediatek and I'm sure Microsoft has a big had to play in a no-so-finished product, but geeze!  Any help out there?

MInutes after posting here, I found a solution to the problem of another Web site. This solution is relevant to those who have had a VPN software installed on their system during the upgrade of Windows 10. It may be worth a try, even if you don't have a VPN software installed prior to the upgrade. I followed the instructions below and after you remove both registry key and uninstall the DNI_DNE, the network adpaters Protocol (ethernet or wireless) immediately turned on and connected automatically without having to restart the computer.

If you have unsupported software VPN installed on Windows 8.1 when you upgrade, you may experience this problem.  We are currently working on a fix.  To check if that's causing your problem of networking:

    1. Click the Start button, then click command prompt (Admin).

    2. Type the following command in the window and press ENTER:

    3. netcfg - s n

  • This will display a list of network protocols, drivers, and services.  Check if DNI_DNE is listed in the output.  If this is the case, this problem applies to you.

  • If DNI_DNE is present in the same command prompt window, type the following commands to solve the problem:

    Reg delete HKCR\CLSID\ {988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /va /f

    netcfg - v u dni_dne

  • If you receive the error 0 x 80004002 after execution of this correction, or the registry key has not been removed or the key that should be deleted is slightly different.  Open Regedit and navigate to the key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ {988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3}.  Delete it if it still exists. If this is not present and you still not received this error, just reply to the post.  We may contact you to help identify the cause of this error.

  • Slight modification of my original posting. Please remove the ' / going ' from the code as it is does not delete the subkeys, only values. So, if you have dni_dne and tried this fix with an error result, please try this again with the following change in the original post:

    reg delete HKCR\CLSID\ {988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /f

    Unplugged network cable?

Recently I get this message then on the line. You are not connected to the internet! You want to work offline or try again? There is also a box with a red x and the message reads unplugged network cable. It is very aggravating. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? It might have something to do with my firewall? I recently downloaded mozzilla firefox if I could play words with friends, because IE would not work on the game.

    Hi LouisteanGriffin,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network, perform a clean boot to see if there is no conflict of software like clean boot helps you eliminate software conflicts.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Method 2: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I use a home network of microsoft are working on a Linksys router.  Some (not all) files jpg and pdf transferred over the network producing the error access denied when you try to open, change of name, copy, etc.  I am not able to copy files thesse in a Breifcase on the remote computer which I use for backup.

The original files are in agreement on basic computer; If I archive in a zip file I can decompress and open the files on the remote computer. If I copy on a zip drive and hand to the remote computer, the files are correct.  It might have started because I've upgraded to SP3.  Disable Norton doesn't seem to help.  I downloaded and used LockHunter which shows the files are not locked and does nothing to help them open.

OS - XP Pro with SP3.  Security - Norton Internet Security - 20010. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and Adobe Phtoshop 6.0 but to open JPGs with other programs and save back doesn't help.

Any ideas?  I use the net sneaker now and stood up on the local network.

    Bill

Well, I found my problem.  After many attempts to unlock files and cureing my registry etc etc. I put the properties on each of the files to enable sharing.  After this Briefcase has worked and I can open the files on the remote control.  I feel stupid: not really!

  • With XP Pro SP3 and Win 7 x 64 network connectivity issues

I have three computers on a home network via the connection to the router. Box 1 running XP Home. Box 2 XP Pro SP3 and the box I use is (my main box 3) running Windows 7 Pro x 64. In Norton 360 all the boxes appear. The Win 7 system does not appear in the local network on the two first machines. The software shows them as being shared and protected. Win 7 shows however all three machines appear in computer (win 7) and will not let me connect and I would like to receive files from the XP Home (box 1) machine. You cannot connect at all to the box to XP Pro from 1 or 3. When I try to connect to my main box 2 box I get this message

"box2\ is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command. »

Any ideas as to why XP Pro box are not accessible? As I said it has all the preferences enabled file sharing. The firewall is not the cause, and the antivirus is not the cause. I have disabled both to exclude it. I can use the utility to transfer files between machines 2 - 3 but that doesn't help me get the kind of access that I owe to my backup drives that are on the machine 2 (xp pro).

It must be something simple that I forget (I hope)

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

The problem that is described in the article does not always cause Event ID 2011.   The steps in this article should solve the problem, even without this event ID.

I'm sorry, but I don't know if removing and reinstalling Norton will fix the problem.  Try it and see!  Test the network after UN-installing and then again after re-installation. Boulder computer Maven

Hi Sumit and thanks for posting.

Your Athreos has never connected? If it has connected then it not only connects it to insecure networks? Also after can trying to connect you do the following?

Start, run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG/ALL

[Note that there is no space between the oblique and ALL bar].

Right click in the command window and choose Select all, and then press ENTER.
Paste the results in a message here.

I hope this helps. After the back if you have any questions.

  • Network discovery, file sharing settings keep changing by itself and Alltel to set the network location continues to ask the wireless device

former title: network location settings. Discovery of NW. File sharing. public folder sharing. AVG 9.0 'tools' and network connections.

My Alltel Wireless device again set the network location. And continues to change my network settings for the discovery of NW to:, as well as file sharing for: file public and sharing: read-only.  I have AVG Security 9.0 and under 'tools' and connections network shows several svchost with States reading service connections listening and unknown. I don't want no access to my computer and cannot find any computer consultants who can get this to stop. What can I do?

    Hello

    1. the options apply automatically on?
    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?
    3. have you installed any Alltel Wireless application to manage network connections?
    4. What is the current network location type on? Is it home, work or public?
Network discovery and file sharing settings depend on the network location. For examle, if you set the network as a public location it turn on file sharing.  So I would ask you to turn all the parameters and then choose the type of network and check if the parameters change again.

    Method 1.
I recommend you to check if the problem exists in clean boot. May be a third party application is causing these changes.
See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 2.
Also check the settings under tools in AVG security suite. You may need to check with the help of AVG on it.
Or you can disable the antivirus software and check if that causes this behavior.
Temporarily disable the security software installed on the computer and check if the problem persists.
    Disable the anti-virus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software
Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    I hope this helps.
