  • Migration to Standard of Enterprise edition.

    Hi experts,

How to migrate from Enterprise Edition to Standard Edition.

What are the things to consider before migrating?

How to check the features of the Enterprise edition are currently being used?

    OEL 6, 64-bit operating system.

    Database: 11g R2, 2-node RAC on ASM.

    Kind regards

    Trendy.

You can just install a SE House and then open the database with the binaries SE. But the only supported technique is to create a new database SE and import there. Then, you have to give up patterns of EE. Look for it on MOS, there are corresponding note of the section.

  • EPM 11.1.2.2 in upgrade from Windows 2008R2 Standard and Enterprise of Windows 2008 R2 square

We have Oracle EPM 11.1.2.2 installed on our servers running in Windows 2008R2 Standard.

The Windows 2008 R2 Standard in place upgrade to Windows Enterprise 2008 R2 will be affect the current Oracle EPM 11.1.2.2 installation? Is the high risk in a procedure like this?

It should not cause serious problems, but I don't know the installation and the products that you have, there will always be a risk with any changes to the operating system, if you want to go this route, make sure you have a recovery strategy and if possible test the procedure for a non-production environment first.

  • Will be this specification of drilling for HDV and DV editing?

    Hi people

I was asked to build a rig for editing HDV of budget to use on my old app CS4 first. The cost of the kit of computer seems to have increased, so I am considering the following components to use with a Canon HV40 HDV camera.

    Win7 64 bit

Intel Sandy Bridge CPU 3,4 GHz 2130 i3 with memory live corsair 8 gb DDR3 1600 mhz

ASUS P8H67 skt1155 with Sata III motherboard

    1 x 500 GB and 1 x1TB Sata III 7200 RPM hard drives

    LG Bluray writer

    Antec 500W PSU

    Graphics NVIDIA GT430

    Coolermaster case

    Samsung monitor 23 "

Do I really need an i5 CPU?

Do I really need a minimum of 3 HARD drives?

    Is the card ok?

AMD CPU would be just as good?

Maybe this specification is more than necessary for HDV, but it seems silly to ultra save in the search for a CPU or Sata II.

    Thank you

  • Can I create multiple PDFs (for InDesign) and then edit the content/folios in Acrobat?

    Hello

I have several PDF documents that sometimes the content must be swapped around.

Is there a way to do this in Acrobat that will update the pages and content pages, without having to recreate since InDesign?

If you mean by "content" Table of contents, then no it can be done in Acrobat format. The table of content do not update automatically in Acrobat because the content is static. The links are lost on the extraction of the page and all the links will have to be re-created again.

It is recommended that the you are using the original document creation software (in this case, InDesign).

    Hope that helps.

  • Large building VM for SQL 2008 Enterprise

I was counting on the construction of a large environment of virtual machines for SQL 2008 Enterprise Edition.  Only, I realized that the maximum number of vCPUs, that you can assign to a virtual machine is based on this document 8:

    http://www.VMware.com/PDF/vSphere4/R41/vsp_41_config_max.PDF

If I understand each vCPU corresponds directly to a single core on the physical processors.  This in turn means that maximum processing capacity that I can get to a single virtual machine is the equivalent of 2 x quad core processors (8 cores = 8 vCPU) or is there another way to work so that I can get more than that?

I am concerned about this environment specific SQL, which need processing more than 8 cores/vCPUs.

Ideas?  Or what I need to take this out of VMware environment and deploy physics?

No. 8 is the maximum number of vCPUs, that you can assign to a virtual machine - as much as VMware would like to say that all the workloads can be virtualized it is those out there who might not be able be good candidates for virtualization and, possibly, your SQL server server can be one of these. That being said, in my experience, I did not fall on many SQL servers that cannot not virtualized.

What makes you say that thei SQL server needs more 8 cores?

  • SQL server enterprise edition vs. Standard Edition

    Gurus,
I have about 8 applications on my place of work planning.
We are currently using SQL server enterprise edition.
Now, we are contemplating on using SQL server Standard edition for our development servers.
Y at - there no performance impact on the use of standard edition instead of wide edition.
Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Standard and Enterprise use the base engine Similarly there is no difference in performance, Enterprise version just had more additional features.

Express version works with Hyperion even if it is not taken in charge, express has the features of the standard maintenance and has a maximum DB size of 4 GB.

  • What would be the best video editing and photo editing software to use for an iMac for advanced users?

My first exposure to video and photo editing is on a PC with Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop.  I own a Macbook Air and have used iMovie and iPhoto.  It took me a few years to sort and organize thousands of photos archived and videos.  Now, with the changes in Final Cut Pro and the loss of the opening, I am, even once, sitting on the fence.  Compatibility between the software has always been a controversial issue and that you accumulate more and more files, it would be nice if Apple should keep in mind to develop software that can be upgraded seamlessly without losing or change any data.  For example, the photo is correct, once you become familiar with it. However, personally, I like the way events were created in iPhoto, but also how you can scrub through each event, just sweep a finger of each event.  Now in the Photos, you need to scroll right rows and rows of pictures, which seems to be a step backward when it comes down to the speed and convenience. I finally have the time to go back to my hobby of video editing and I was about to buy an iMac or a Macbook Pro.  What is the best choice for video and photo editing, or should I be looking back to Adobe?

You can go to Phase One's Capture One.
