5 Lightroom will not import my Canon EOS 60 d. CR2 files

When I try to import my raw files in lightroom 5 and convert to DNG, I get a message that says: "Could not copy files at the location requested." and "File could not be written" I tried to convert the files to DNG using Adobe DNG converter and their import in lightroom, but they still do not work. Camera Raw and Photoshop CS6 both read files fine. I prefer just to use Lightroom, so it would be wonderful if someone could help me! Thank you

thought of her for another discussion. had to do with the destination folder does not allow files to write!

    Thanks in advance - Alan

Interesting.  Open Photoshop and go help > plugins > Camera RAW which should tell 9.1.1...   Although the version is theoretical considers a 500 d

Check Bridge > preferences > File Associations > Canon Camera RAW and make sure that it points to Photoshop CC 2015.

If still in trouble, reset the Bridge preferences.  You must do it the old way with bridge by pressing Ctrl Alt Shift (shift select Cmd) immediately after the start of bridge, but IME you must be quick with bridge _really_.  It took me three attempts before I could get the open dialogue box asking if I wanted to reset.

If still in trouble, maybe reinstall Bridge, unless get us a better idea in this thread.

    Hello

You really need a little more information such as operating system, memory, etc.

Usually a mistake like this happens because a background process is running and interfere with the available RAM, not enough virtual memory (Windows), drivers of HW obsolete or just an incomplete installation.

Or, one of the biggest problems is add-ons in internet browsers.

Alternatively, another problem of Lightroom, no sufficient permissions on the directory where you import image files.

Please provide a little more information.

No..  In view of the considerable volume of posts during the last two weeks, I can see why you referenced the 2 7.

Randy, the D-70 was released after CS6 is released.  Adobe didn't not reverse retains compatibility with older versions of Photoshop - a way to upgrade.  Unfortunately you must use the link above or upgrade to CS6 DNG Converter.

I suggest you change the permissions for all users. See the many articles for the same on Google

  • Lightroom will not import pictures more

I used the same SIM card and shaped for a while and all of a sudden it will not import files... How can I solve this problem?

This means that you don't have the appropriate permissions to the directory that attempts to copy your photos in Lightroom.

To resolve this issue, you must determine the directory where Lightroom is trying to copy the photos to (in the import dialog on the right, this is the section named 'Destination'). Once you know which directory it is, you must change the permissions on this exact directory & read/write. If you do not know how to change the permissions, go to your favorite search engine and type change permissions Mac

  • 6 Lightroom will not import Olympus RAW

Hi, I have 6 Lightroom (NOT CC) for Mac OS x which I expect to be able to import files Olympus MDG E - M10 Mk 2 RAW (.) (ORF). However, she does not need to be imported. Will there be an update to Lightroom 6 to enable this soon? Thank you I can use Adobe's Raw Converter to get around it for now, but it adds a new step for the import process that I prefer to do without. Any info or advice much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Mark

As mentioned above, Lightroom does not use the ACR PlugIn but it integrated into the application so s Lightroom download is necessary.

There is a link to the d/load here after the new table of camera.

  • Lightroom will not import the cr2 files

I'm trying to import CR2 files in Lightroom and it is said that "certain import operations were conducted not.» The following files were not imported because they could not be read", then it will display the file name. I saw on the forum where it is perhaps a mistake to write, but I don't know where to go to change these settings. I use an iMac on the latest OSX and the most up-to-date CC. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not an expert with the product.

You go to your operating system (Mac Finder) and change the permissions on the folder to READ & WRITE permission. Which folder? The folder specified in the import in Lightroom under Destination dialog box.

  • 5 Lightroom will not import or export photos.  Solution you need?

In fact, the error message means you are trying to overwrite the original images that are in Lightroom. Lightroom will refuse to do as you known here as it would leave the images in Lightroom in an inconsistent state. You simply select a location different export where are your original images.

Note that this is inherent in the works of Lightroom. It is not a traditional image editor and you should not treat this way and try to crush your originals that you can do with Photoshop. When you want a file that reflects your changes, you export to a new location and use, and throw away when you are finished with them. You keep the originals intact and Lightroom will store the sequence of editing for you, then you can always return on your changes or new copies in any format or size you want to export.

  • Lightroom will not import cr2 files in el capitan

Installed El Capitan on my iMac, and now Lightroom CC will read imported CR2 files. No problem prior to El Capitan. What is the problem?

Thanks, Sarika. Yes, that's the problem. The external drive is "read only".

Use disk utility, it doesn't allow me to change the permissions. This leads

    Thanks again!

    Lance

This is because more than likely than external is formatted in format Windows NTFS and you had a utility installed in your earlier version of Mac OS X that could write in NTFS formatted disks and the update of El Capitan deleted this utility. OS X can read NTFS disks natively, but impossible to write in this format. You must update this utility a version that works with El Capitan.
