IdeaPad Z50-70 wireless - hardware radio off

Hello

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Z50-70, and for almost 2 days, I see that my wireless connections are not work / appear. Until about 2 days ago worked well all.

It is said "hardware radio off", I looked on google but found nothing yet, I tried to 'Reset PROSet' but still, after the reboot, it is the same problem.

It is not a big problem, because I use an internet cable and everything works fine, but because it's a laptop, so I want to buy a router there is the problem, I can buy it but will not work... like the wireless.

How can I fix it? How to turn on radio equipment? Is there a button or a key combination?

Sorry for the late reply, still does not, but I wonder, my F (1, 2, 3... 12) buttons have other functions such as mute F1, F2 F3 adjust sound, F5 Refresh, etc..
Could this be the problem because the F5 bind key refresh or... I mean, and it should do something else that refresh?

Update: it's weird, this evening, I came to the College and opened the laptop seems to be that my wireless connections are visible again and work. Still don't know what to do, but I'm glad it is resolved.

Thanks again for the support!

    Hello

Please first check that when you the physical switch turn on wireless communication, you should also somewhere (probably near the switch) see an orange light.
If this isn't the case, then there is something wrong.
Did also attach you the antenna cables to the Wifi card?
You use the Windows XP client or customer of Intel for wifi?

  • T400 Wireless (Hardware) does not

    Hi all

No luck with research here so will try a post instead.

I just put in place a new T400 for work and one of the first things I did was disable connection Intel ProSet utility as I wanted to use the XP/Windows Wireless Networking that I know.

The problem is that it has turned wireless hardware level, but also at the level of the utility, so, although the Windows wireless should now be operational, the material does not detect nearby networks.

Basically little clear air at the left end of the light Panel next to the Lenovo brand is not on. Unlike my old laptop, there is no button to turn on the wireless on the hardware level, so I'm stuck.

Can anyone provide some tips? I checked the BIOS settings (Wireless = WE) and in a variety of places in Windows, but most of those who seem to assume that the hardware is broadcasting.

    Thanks in advance.

This Intel ProSet is a really awkward software.  Only when I gave up and tried to re - activate I managed to find a way to connect through Windows.  Here's what I did to remedy:

    (1) start > run > Msconfig > Services then re-enabled all the Intel ProSet of list elements (3 in mine, do not know if this is necessary)

    (2) start > Control Panel > administrative tools > Services > Wireless Zero set (must be status = Started)

    (3) start > all programs > Intel Wireless Utility. At the bottom of the screen, make sure that WiFi on is selected (sets the material to be on, where Fn + F5 and the hardware on the laptop switch does not work if it is turned off).

At the top of this screen, make sure it says "Windows is currently managing this WiFi adapter.

    (4) If you click Open Network properties just below is wireless networks now, but if you are trying to connect it will get stuck on the first step of the connection, then expire.

    (5) right click my computer > properties > hardware > Device Manager > network adapters.  Select the Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN (or similar), right click and uninstall.  You could say that it is not possible to uninstall (as it is used at startup) but it seems anyway uninstall it.

    (6) in the Device Manager, right click the name of your computer up and "search the hardware changes.  This should replace the adapter.

    (7) you should now notice that:

-l' icon/light wireless at the bottom of your screen is now on which indicates that the hardware is broadcasting.
-You can connect to your network of your choice and a happy connected icon is visible in the system tray.
-the little shit ProSet icon is not visible in the system tray.

All that's left to do is thank Intel for waste 6 hours of your life.

    Hope this works for you.
    TT

PS: don't bother installing a new version of the drivers (12.4.0.42 or similar is ongoing) because it is not compatible with the software. Brilliant.

  • Hey, question on my new IdeaPad z50-75 (AMD fx-7500) - cpu not no clock to the top

    Hello everyone

I just got two or three days old Lenovo IdeaPad z50-75, running on the FX-7500 AMD really happy about some things

Firstly, I noticed just now that my CPU runs at 1.07 Ghz, before it was always more than 2 Ghz or so that was good... but maybe I've touched something somewhere in the settings powr or something and now it stays on 1.07 same when the cpu used well enough. I put the power plan to high performance and also Energy manager is configured using the high performance and Conservation mode is on... What is the holdup? why it is not itself clock upwards? I think it's slower than before... so any reference to what could cause this.

Grateful for any advice or ideas.

    StonieMalony

I do not have a similar unit like yours, but try not to use the mode of conservation in conservation mode and see if you now have what you expect.

  • Lenovo Ideapad Y450 switch wireless works not

    Hello

I bought an Ideapad Y450 is about 2 weeks and for the first time I tried to use wireless, it did not work. There were other additional software that I added such as Firefox and microsoft office 2007 at the time wherever I checked the wireless feature. Ichecked the on Device Manager (Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN) network adapter and it seemed to work fine.

Later, I uninstalled the ReadyComm 4.0 software and internet Norton Security. I switched to AVG Antivirus. For some reason, the front switch and the Fn + F5 started working and I was delighted. Unfortunately, the next day, the wireless radio just stopped working. The front switch and the shortcut (Fn + F5) no longer work. I called technical support and asked me to reinstall the driver for the network card - did not work. I rebooted the computer on safe mode - didn't work. I guess something must have been installed automatically via windows update.

I'm trying to avoid having to use the recovery key to activate the computer back to the factory settings (I did not a recovery yet disc).

I hope that someone has experienced the same thing before and could help me.

I could understand not just what prevents the computer to turn on the wireless capability. I know that the switch works because one day when he did. Or is the switch just partially broken?

Thank you very much for all your suggestions. I should have updated all the you what happened to my laptop. What I did about a month and half ago was so I used the one key recovery option offered by Lenovo to restore my laptop to its factory settings. I lost all the software that I installed in my laptop, but it was worth it. My wireless and bluetooth works now. I can turn them on and off. The switch works. The Fn + F5 shortcut works. I backed up all my files until I reinstalled my whole hard drive so that the process was not too painful for me.

Right now, I have Lenovo ReadyComm 4.0 in my computer and in some sort, it has not been any problem with my wireless connection. If all goes well it will never.

    Thanks again for your help!

  • 8530w Win7 Home Premium fresh install - Wifi and bluetooth radio off just not online

    Hi all

I encountered a strange problem. I did a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit edition. I installed all the essential drivers; setting network, wifi, quick launch button drivers HP and others. Wired network works fine. However, the wifi button is orange and does not work on contact. All other keys work well, so I guess we can exclude. The driver is loaded OK and the hardware is connected according to the Intel Pro Set diagnostic tools. However, he also pointed out that the radio switch is thrown off, so the orange light right?

The radio is off, bluetooth driver moved not because of 'not present material' and I can't enable it.

I've seen other people with the same problem, but a majority of those who appear to have been related to the HP power management. And as this is a clean install, I don't think that power management is the problem. Just to be safe, I disabled the power management capability in the adapter properties.

So, is there another way to activate the radio via the software without relying on the button of the Panel wifi? Are there other ways to diagnose the problem?

    Thanks for your help!

    Best regards
