555 timer

Hello

Ive had some issues with the 555 timer. I'm trying to get a signal of pulswidth set to a current signal.

My problem is that the circuit should work with 0.25 to 1 Hz on the current signal. I clocked it at 1 Hz, but if I try to go further down the timer begins to go crazy.

im a noob really into stuff like this and happy with every little help

I hope someone can help me

Thank you

Toobi

You will get help if you post to the appropriate Board. It's counter products OR and you want the Design Suite for Multisim Circuit Board. Repost or click Options and ask the moderator to move it.

I tried to reproduce this circuit much longer. I am trying to use a timer 555 as an Astable multivibrator with a suddenly IC monostable circuit. However, when I create the circuit and use different combinations of RC I actually get a correct output of the timer, but it does not cause the one-shot get active then and I can immediately connect a clock of multisim that turned the circuit works very well. Can someone please take a look on the circuit, I have designed and see where I was wrong? Refer to the multisim file attached.

Ohm's law,

Sorry for the delay on this point - we have been busy in the ISF group.

Your tour was very close! I think that by not only not the CLR and a cable entries, your circuit had problems. Probably the pins of the CLR was defaulting to a low logic (requiring so low Q and Q ~ high) as indicated in the data sheet.

Here is the circuit has been corrected (note I increased the capacitor to give lasting impulse on Q / Q ~ because the pulse of the 555 timer period was approximately 250 ms).

In dealing with digital circuits, it is often convenient connect digital inputs to an interactive SPDT switch and VCC (or any level of CMOS circuit is in) and ground as I did here. This gives you the ability to interactively control parts of the interactive test circuit...

• 1 Hz clock circuit

Hi all

I'm a student using MultiSim 12. I have a need to generate 1 and 2 Hz clock timer circuits using the MultiSim student edition.

I am not having success finding designs that can use pre-existing components of MultSim.

Can anyone offer/provide information about how to generate 1 Hz timer circuits / 2 Hz using MultiSim Student Edition?

Thank you

Hello yours,

Thanks for the comments on the use of the 555 timer.

• Assistant circuit for 14.0 Multisim Base edition?

It is a very simple question, but I couldn't find the answer. I use Multisim base edition 14.0. It excludes the Circuit Assistant? I'm following the manual of NI Multisim basic exercises. Isn't normal that all covered (not optional) features in these training manuals are included in all versions of the software? I'm confused.

Hi pomirobotics

I did some research and I found some information, and it seems that the basic version of multisim doesn't have the feature of the Circuit (555 timer Assistant, Assistant of the Op-Amp, filter Assistant)

You can check the different features of each version of multisim on the following link.

Do apprecaite the relevant details and we will work in the future. Acually, was to make an inventory of the party today in preparation for class with a student helping and he found a few tubes of the old chips 555 timer, asked what they were for and we had a good dialogue on the function and the importance of calendar clock in computers, and how to get developed the waveforms and such.

So I can see set clock calendar as a real overview of the digital electronic transactions, especially being able to slow things down enough to capture the action and study it better.

Very well.

• Wrong frequency is simulated

Hello

I have circuit based on 555 timer which should produce 40 kHz (50% DC) square wave.

But Multisim simulate Khz 26,367 only.

Calculated circuit by "tools/Circuit Assistant / 555 Timer Assistant /" and checked with the data sheet.

This circuit assembled aboard real maket and works very well.

Version of Multisim is 10.1.1

So, what's wrong here?

Thank you

Sergey

Hello

I built the circuit using the values of the specified element and I was able to get the circuit in order to produce the right reading by changing the time step (TMAX) of 1e - 5 sec to 1e-8 seconds, this setting is under simulation > Interactive Simulation settings. By reducing the time step, you're saying the Simulator to take several samples and Donna and allow a reading more accurate.

• Traffic lights for Multisim project

Hello, I am designing a traffic light work for the sides both n/s and E/S of traffic (i.e. six lights). I'll build it later, for real, using the model of Elvis II. I was looking around other patterns on the web, I attracted many of these about Multisim and none of them work. It must also be a traffic light in the United States, like those of the United Kingdom is different. I tried a lot of different combinations, with the 555 timer and 4017 decade counter, but I don't know how these components actually work. I need help. The simplest circuit would be better, I know, as a kind of flip-flop RS or rocking JK (?). I know not how these components really hang together or how I am supposed to get the distribution right, where the red and green on both opposed will be lit during a required term, as 15 seconds for demonstration purposes and then go to the yellow on the green side was 3 seconds (after green turns off and the Red stays on with the yellow) and then it flip-flops to the Green and red on the other side 15 seconds. I don't know how to do in this regard. A good example would be very useful. Thank you, brett1405

Thank you for your answer, but I have the circuit finally works. I need your advice in future projects, as we're going to build it with a microcontroller very soon. Thank you, brett1405

• Time of excessive latency of connection... Adobe Air supports on mobile connection pooling?

Hello

I'm developing a mobile application that loads the thumbnail images to a remote server. During testing on the Android platform, however, I discovered that the images are very long to load. By monitoring the server logs, I determined that poor performance is caused by the absence of connection pooling, which means that each request creates a new connection. Running the sample code below on a mobile device produces 20 applications and 20 attempts to connect. By comparison, the same web application or desktop creates 2 connections and reuses connections for the following applications. Important overhead and latency associated with generating new connections has a significant impact on performance, with 20 thumbnails taking about 4-5 seconds to load on mobile compared to 0.5-1 second on a desk.

I've included a sample application below the emphasis placed on the performance issue. The image itself is very small (290 bytes), to focus the issue on the latency of the connection. I confirmed this behavior on many Android devices running 4.1, 4.0 and 2.3. I also tried using the charger c. URLLoader v. URLStream and v. sequential loading with no change in the behavior of simultaneous connection. Trying to set up the connection to 'keep-alive' in the URLRequest has also no effect.

package

{

import flash.display.Loader;

import flash.display.Sprite;

import flash.display.StageAlign;

import flash.display.StageScaleMode;

import flash.events.Event;

import flash.net.URLRequest;

import flash.utils.getTimer;

SerializableAttribute public class Main extends Sprite

{

private var _count:int = 0;

public void Main()

{

Super();

internship. Align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;

stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;

trace ("Start time" + getTimer() + "ms");

var loader: Loader;

var url: String = " " http://fbcdn-profile-a.akamaihd.NET/static-AK/rsrc.php/v2/yo/r/UlIqmHJn-SK.gif ";  290 bytes

for (var i: int = 0; i < 20; i ++) {}

loader = new this.addChild (Loader()) as a charger.

loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, complete);

Loader.Load (new URLRequest (url));

}

}

private void complete(event:Event):void

{

_Count ++

trace ("Completed" + _count + 'to' + getTimer() + "ms");

}

}

}

So, I have a few questions:

(1) is there something I can do to allow the reuse of connection?

(2) is it an inherent limitation with Adobe Air for mobile?

(3) is that someone can confirm if this limitation exists on other mobile platforms (iOS or Blackberry)?

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I really hope that this isn't a fundamental limitation of Adobe Air because it weakens my application to feel very slow.

Thank you

Adam

OVER 50 with 1 Chargers in 2099 milliseconds or 41,98 by load.        50 1 2099 41,98

Both are on the exit compilation, which should take all of the variability. So, Yes, it is as if the Runtime AIR 3.4 lost the pool of connections, but ONLY for Android.

• No display X 51 R1 - dealing with failed GTX 555

Hello! The figure is practically archaic by today's standards, but I did have this X 51 R1 for so long unfortunately.

Problem: No display when I turn on (with the exception of fan/HD whirring and alien lights coming). It beeps, I understand is supposed to be bound to the motherboard, but I brought to a repair shop diagnosed as a card failure GTX 555 which prevents from start. The important, the shop has managed to boot successfully to the X 51 by replacing only the GTX 555 with another card (low end). However, they do have a GFX card similar to the GTX 555 in performance (which can also be powered by 330W POWER supply) so I took my X 51 House.

Assuming the above is correct, my question is:

1. How can I start of the equipped with an integrated GFX card (at least until then that I find a discreet viable replacement option?) My screen is plugged the HDMI port embedded all the time I had the X 51, never the mini-HDMI on the GTX 555. I don't know what is my BIOS setting, but by pressing F2 repeatedly after turning on the X 51 has no effect whatsoever now. Is that expected when I have no display due to the discrete GFX card fail?

2. what should I look for to replace the GTX 555? Looking at the 660 GTX and Radeon R9 270, those would be safe choices that won't send my X-51 to a premature end of overheating?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all.

What happens when you connect the monitor to the actual video card by the mini HDMI port?

If you still don't have video when you connect the monitor to the mini-HDMI and then open the system and remove the video card (you can check this video if you need help), connect the monitor to the integrated HDMI and turn on the system.

If, after that the system image to uninstall the video card driver, put the video card in and reinstall the driver.

In regard to the options of different graphics cards, we validate only the following cards for this system:

NVIDIA Geforce 640GT

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 645

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660

AMD, Radeon R9 270

• Using the query - amount weekly, daily, max & time

Hi guys,.

I came looking for help with this query, I should use to create a new table. At first I just thought I needed to store the weekly amount and some other information, but then told me that I need the sum for the week and the hourly figure higher this week with time. I managed to make all columns except rush hour causing me issues.

The DESC table is as follows: http://i38.tinypic.com/8yt0.png

My query result has need of the following:
Db_name (direct copy of the table)
TYPE (direct copy of the table)
YEAR (cropped from TD_HR - first 4 characters)
WEEK (cropped from TD_HR and then converted to the IW format)
TOTAL (weekly column TOTAL amount)
HOURLY_PEAK (the largest AMOUNT for a given time during a week)
PEAK_TIME (time of the highest sum for the week)

I have everything show except PEAK_TIME. Sample data:
DB_NAME     TD_HR             TOTAL   TYPE
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 16     35     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 15     4     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 16     19     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 17     3651     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 16     7     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 17     113     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 17     534     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 17     289     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 17     12     CON
CSAHEPA     2008-07-24 16     52     CON
My current (terribly inefficient) query is the following:
select DB_NAME, YEAR, WEEK, sum(SUM), TYPE, sum(WEEKLY_PEAK) from (
select DB_NAME, SUBSTR(TD_HR, 1, 4) year, to_char(to_date(SUBSTR(TD_HR, 1, 10), 'RRRR-MM-DD'), 'IW') week, sum(TOTAL) sum, TYPE, 0 WEEKLY_PEAK
from CORCON01_HOUR_CHG_TOTALS
group by DB_NAME, SUBSTR(TD_HR, 1, 4), to_char(to_date(SUBSTR(TD_HR, 1, 10), 'RRRR-MM-DD'), 'IW'), TYPE
union all
select db_name, year, week, 0 sum, type, max(peak) weekly_peak from (
select DB_NAME, SUBSTR(TD_HR, 1, 4) year, to_char(to_date(SUBSTR(TD_HR, 1, 10), 'RRRR-MM-DD'), 'IW') week, TYPE, sum(total) peak, CONCAT(INITCAP(TO_CHAR(TO_DATE(rpad(td_hr, 10),'yyyy-mm-dd'),'dy')), substr(td_hr,11))||':00' peak_time
from CORCON01_HOUR_CHG_TOTALS
group by DB_NAME, SUBSTR(TD_HR, 1, 4), to_char(to_date(SUBSTR(TD_HR, 1, 10), 'RRRR-MM-DD'), 'IW'), TYPE, CONCAT(INITCAP(TO_CHAR(TO_DATE(rpad(td_hr, 10),'yyyy-mm-dd'),'dy')), substr(td_hr,11)))
group by db_name, year, week, type)
group by db_name, year, week, type
The final column data are given in the 2nd query here as:
CONCAT (INITCAP (TO_CHAR (TO_DATE (rpad (td_hr, 10), "yyyy-mm-dd"), "dy")), substr(td_hr,11)) |': 0 0' peak_time
Any help (get the last column included and/or improvement of the effectiveness of the query) is greatly appreciated.

Mike
