6.3 Lightroom import is not my photos

And Yes, my Mac OS is upgraded to the latest version of El Capitan.  My copy on my MacBook Pro works great, but my office is not. Thoughts, suggestions?

The most likely cause is a lack of READ and WRITE privileges on the destination folder. Finder allows to visualize the privs on your destination folder and correct them if necessary. Also, make sure the dialog box import to ensure that the destination folder, it's what you think it is.

This often happens with the mac OS upgrades.

  • Lightroom 6.6.1 import problem - not found photos

I use Lightroom CC (6.6.1) and just started having a problem with the import of my camera these days.  When I connect the camera to my PC and you try to import the import panel says "No. Photos found.  This also happens with two different cameras, each with their own USB cables and different USB ports.  I can see the pictures using the file Explorer and copy it to my hard drive.  Last week the import on the cameras worked well.  I tried to reset Lightroom proferences but that did not help.  The PC is running Windows 10 and has been for the last year with no problems.

You can try to "roll back" Lightroom 6.5.1 to see if that fixes the problem.

  • 5.4 Lightroom import is not on a network cr2 files?

    Well, that's unfortunate.

New iMac, just out of the box, the operating system updated.

New subscription Adobe CC, all set to date.

5.4 neither Lightroom or Photoshop CC can import CR2 files stored on my NAS.

The Mac connects fine to the NAS. I can see the photos and copy them into my new PC, but cannot be imported.

I know that LR does not allow to store CATALOGS on a network, but I've never had problems with the original stored raw files.

    Any advice?

    It solved!

I don't know why it makes a difference, but once I mounted the network folder and gave him an alias on the office, LR5.4 has been able to import.

  • Lightroom import does not all images

I'm trying to import 2554 photos in Lightroom to a wedding that I shot yesterday. I created a new catalog and went to import photos, however in the upper right of the import screen it says there is no 2131 photos to import. I've never had this problem before. He images are off 2 cameras and some are JPEGs and some are high heat, I don't know if this is the problem? All images are in the destination folder, it's when I import them I seem to lose more than 400 images. Anyone can shed some light?

In Preferences > general, make sure JPGs to treat raw as separate photos next to files is checked.

  • CC of Lightroom Import do not

CC of Lightroom is no longer allow me to download my images. He is grateful to the camera, but then everything starts "loading" indefinitely on the import screen. There is NO video file. My images can be imported by the cab and downloaded directly on the HDD - is not my card/camera, really light room. I uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted the folder Preferences, and I try install LR 6, although I'm not sure that's going to work because I had already bought it - support CC ALL alone? It is a huge problem for me.

Husband fixed it. A ran CC cleaner and registry cleaner and it seemed to fix it. Previews, import time, etc., all back to normal.
Just make sure that you first save LR.

  • Lightroom import does not pictures SD card

I used ambient light for a month now, import pictures from my Nikon SD card. Everything was fine until today. At first, it seemed that lightroom could see the first 144 photos (up to DSC_0217) that was all that shown in lightroom for the last import library. But when I looked in the hard and today record I could see all the photos (an additional 70 or almost) had been imported on the hard drive. I tried to move those missing in a new folder on the hard drive - then an import of this dossier, but ambient light think they are already imported.

Any ideas where they? I am attaching a screenshot - but doubt it will help?

  • Lightroom, photoshop, but not selected photo of opening.

By hitting Cmd-E in Lr5.5, Ps 14 CC opens, but not the image that I had selected in Lr. This problem started just after the upgrade by 2014.

I had this problem too (Windows 7).   Set by CC2014 to uninstall and then reinstall.

After uninstalling (via Control Panel), I had to quit and restart the desktop creative cloud application to see that it had to INSTALL CC2014.  After that, things started working as they should.

  • Import from the News Photos of Apple (not iPhoto) in Lightroom?

As a complete Lightroom beginner how to import since the News Photos of Apple (not iPhoto) in Lightroom?  You said that there are no stupid questions.  I'm excited to get started with Lightroom.

It is better to export Photos to OSX on the desktop versions or better still put them in standard Finder folders. Your versions will include any changes already made (not available in masters) and imported into LR duplicates will be completely separated, protect the library of Photos of corruption.

You may be able to include IPTC metadata when exporting so that all of the keywords etc. imported.

  • Lightroom import my photos.

    Screenshot 2016-07-10 08.20.05.png

After years and 100000 of of the images imported into Lightroom, he ceased to import my photos (for my macbook pro) yesterday. I insert my lexar SD card, lightroom responds by locating the map (Nikon D600) as usual, but no thumb does not appear, and "import" is not an option-just "Cancel".  Images can be imported to my selection, so I know they're there, but lightroom usually accept if I drag them over to Lightroom from dropbox or office either.  There is no error message.  I guess the solution is a simple click somewhere, but I don't know where - help someone?

Right-click on 'Change file name' and make sure that Destination is selected and developed as Geoff said, that a valid destination directory is selected.

  • Plug-in for importing the library of Photos of OSX to Lightroom?

Hi all, I upgraded a library iPhotos to the new Photos app when it first came out. Since I am aware that Lightroom had a 'Import iPhoto' plugin, I always thought a 'Import of Photos' plugin would be available. But from my research on the Internet, it seems that Adobe has not developed a. My problem is that I have spent a lot of time to organize my photos into albums in the new library of Photos app, and I can't afford to redo all this back in Lightroom. These aren't simple stereotypes that can be simply rearranged by date - they are images of a multi-year research project and have 36 000 photographs relating to very specific categories of information. Given that many photos appear on several albums, it is not as easy as the export of each album as a group to, and then import them into Lightroom to keep separated/grouped.

I would be grateful for any help on how to import my library of Photos in Lightroom (CC or other) while keeping the organization from the album - the knowledge to see if Adobe (or a third-party developer?) has plans to make a plug-in similar to the one they had for iPhotos. Essentially, the current limitation means that I cannot become a permanent user of Lightroom and will to always be attached to my Photos app.

PS - open my photo library in iPhoto does not work either - it shows that the albums I've done until I upgraded to Photos, not worth year-end additional organization I've done since. I was surprised by that, because I was hoping it would be a miracle solution (i.e. opening of new photo library in iPhoto, then using "Import from iPhoto" Lightroom plugin).

You should be able to export versions of Photos with IPTC metadata. Export to the desktop or even better, in a folder on a regular basis using the Finder. Import duplicates in Lightroom and you should be able to quickly use keywords to make collections if you add temporary words prior to export.

  • Lightroom has left while the import is in execution-photos are missing.

Lightroom has left while the import is in execution-photos are missing.  How can I fix the index (?) so that I can see the pictures?

When I look at some of the records, the number of pictures is 0.   In the 8.1 WIN it says there are 10 pictures (for example).

If tried to re - import a fold er who had 0 photos in Lightroom, but it is said that the 10 photos are already there.

Lightroom is not a file Explorer. It is not "air" inside a folder and see how many photos is there, just like Windows Explorer. If both should not match.

If you are unable to import the photos, which means that they have already been imported and you will need to find in Lightroom. Then, go to the library Module and perform all 4 of these steps to find your photos:

    1. Click on all of the photographs in the catalog Panel
    2. Disable all filters (once or twice Ctrl-L)
    3. Develop all batteries (Photo->-> develop all batteries stacking)
    4. one of those 'missing' photos search by file name
  • import notes no photos to import

    Thanks in advance,

    Canon 20 d (old)

    iMac 2007

    10.10.2 OSX

    5.7 Lightroom

Lightroom crashes after trying to import pictures from the camera ("crashes".  If I leave unplugged device I can get to import, taken behind closed doors, lightroom must correctly identify camera like the 20 d, but "No pictures found".  These are not duplicate photos.  Tried resetting the SMC on iMac.  It will be important to the iPhone.  No other devices attached to the iMac.  Help?  Ideas?

    Thank you.

On the 20 d MENU under the heading 'Communication' settings, there may be tweaks.  Try another.  On my 5 d (similar vintage), you can set it as ' print/ptp' or 'PC Connect.  For importing to Lightroom, it must be set to "print/PTP."  Maybe a different setting will help you.
