64-bit application

You ask if application developed with sp1 LV 2012 with window 7 machine, works in the 64-bit windows operating environment? If this isn't the case, wondering how to develop 64-bit applications?

If the application has been developed in 32-bit LabVIEW (you don't mention this fact!), it will work on 32-bit windows and 64-bit windows.

To develop a 64-bit application, you must build in LabVIEW 64-bit and you have the disadvantage that it only works on a 64 bit OS and toolbox support is limited.

Develop 32-bit is more universal and generally recommended.

    Thank you all.

    Hello

I m unaware software Siemens Simatic Manager V505. But perhaps this 32-bit applications needs a version of Win 7 32 bit.
In this case, you need to install a Win 7 32 bit system on your laptop.
But I recommend to ask support from Siemens for more information maybe there are a few patches, updates or similar solutions that don t require 32-bit system.

  • Everything is ok for 64-bit, printer INVISIBLE to 32-bit applications applications

    Hello

I am running Win7Pro64SP1 on a Z800 work and recently had a crash of partial disc in which some areas followed her into oblivion - repair disk etc. and reinstalls a few, almost everything came back ok, but here and there I still stumble on a corrupted dll must be replaced.

Today, I saw that Adobe Reader could not print on my OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus, which is on the ethernet network. Never had a problem with the drive before... so I reinstalled everything to drive but nothing helped, even if Wordpad print without problem and I can scan with the printer (that is, communication with it's not a problem). So I installed the latest all-in-One driver for the printer, but always without success. Then I run the application "HP print and scan of doctor" who told me that everything was absolutely PERFECT... except that when I tried to print the test page, nothing came out of the printer. But the 'doctor' gave me the ability to print a "test internal page"... and this printed an ok!

Then I noticed this: whenever I tried to print from a 64-bit (such as Wordpad) application, everything went very well... but for applications 32-bit (for example Adobe Reader) the printer is invisible! We are in the company of software development and have 32 and 64 bit versions of everything we do, so I tried to print from one of our software in Java: the 64-bit version printed ok, but gave me the 32-bit version of exactly the same pot

    java.awt.print.PrinterException: no printer found.

So clearly, (1) the printer is ok, (2) communication with her is ok, but (3) the printer "does not exist" in 32 bit, even if it is in 64-bit! So I obviously tried to install at least the base of 32 bits for the printer drivers... but was advised to install the 64-bit version instead (which I already did, successfully).

I know that drivers (such as printer drivers) are dll and you cannot mix many different bits in the same image, but given the number of applications that still exist in 32-bit only, I thought that the all-in-one installer for 64-bit (OJ8600_1315.exe) install them 63 AND 32 bit drivers?

Any idea on how I can do 32-bit applications on top of the printer, too?

Thank you very much for your advice!

    I have SOVED it:

-remove the printer and then reinstalled by specifying "I'll connect LATER. I do not know if this installed the driver locally, but probably so: I was able to print the Test Page

    - then I spotted the Net for posts about similar problems and found that many people had the 32-bit spooler (splwow64.exe) if crush... so I checked where that file was on another Win7 machine and found that it is in C... If on Windows my computer the file was not there! It must have gone in the crash...

-J' copied splwow64.exe on the other machine to C:\Windows and everything works well again in 32 and 64 bit

Conclusion: the spools are not the same to print from applications of 32 and 64-bit, check both. Hope this can help some of you.

  • How activate you emulator wow64 to run a 32-bit application

How activate you emulator wow64 to run a 32-bit application?  I don't know which version of Vista running by the person asking the real question.

32-bit (x 86) applications should run automatically without any intervention of the user on a 64 bit system.  The operating system can be 64-bit, but it will be able to run 32-bit applications (x 86) (if they install OK) and read their files or other files of 32-bit.  You will have two folders Program Files, one for 64-bit applications and one for x 86 applications.  Vista will install the programs in the appropriate folder.  Similarly, you will have two System, System32 and SysWOW64 folders. All Windows updates must be however for the 64-bit operating system.

Ask them to watch "Type System" in the control panel / system.

    Hello

Do a clean install of XP with the XP disk provided by Dell, if you.

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/OperatingSystems/SS/instxpclean1.htm

If you do not have your XP disk, you can contact Dell and ask them to send you a XP disc.

They should do this for a small fee.

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the order of startup and startup disk:

Vista installation was able to destroy this option of relocation:

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall XP back on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

A Dell must rely on Ctrl + F11 at STARTUP to reinstall XP

  • 64-bit applications not start or start and immediately close. Some produce such as cleanmgr.exe 0xc0000135 error code

My Version of Windows is the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

After a Microsoft Update for Windows Defender and a few other improvements of Vista security, my computer has rebooted and started running very, very slowly.  I went to reboot the computer again to receive an error message on a rolling stop and check that the drive should run.  After Check Disk, windows restarted again and brought me to my office.  I tried to open IE8 do pop open and close immediately.  After an investigation, I determined that all of my 64-bit applications no longer work, but all of my 32-bit versions.  Some applications ask me with an error with the code window in there, such as cleanmgr.exe 0xc0000135.

I tried to start the disk check again during the computer startup process, but that did not fix the problem.

I was not able to find decent advice online to help me.
