  The USB 3.0 AMD driver is necessary and required to get the USB 3.0 ports to work.
  The driver can be found on the page of the Toshiba UE driver (I assume that you have installed this driver):

  

  To get USB 2.0 ports work, you must install the AMD chipset driver (... it's part of the package of display driver)

  Regarding the brightness function key:
  You must install the VAP (value added package) in order to use the FN keys.
  Of course, the display driver must be installed too (as suggested above)

• E3000 5 GHz not seen by laptop already worked with WRT600N

  I just installed a new E3000 and implemented as close as possible to the settings that I had with my previous WRT600N router. When I used the WRT600N, my laptop would both see my 5 GHz and my connections 2.4 GHz Wireless. Now with the E3000, he sees that the 2.4 Ghz.

  I've seen other messages on here describe a similar problem, but they seemed to be all about confusion over "n" database connections and whether or not, the adapter can see 5 GHz. But in my case, I know that my laptop could see with the WRT600N, but not with the E3000. My WRT600N wasn't really using 5 GHz or the E3000 works fine now.

  Open the router configuration page. Click on the Wireless tab and the Manual value configuration view.

  Change the name of the wireless network SSID for the 5 GHz Wireless band so that the two bands Wireless will have different network names.
