7 1 quiz review slide Captivate has no next button until this that revisited

I am very new to Captivate. When I click on the quiz Review button while previewing the Captivate project and the LMS there is no button next to the screen. Only when you go out and re-enter the draft the following button appears.

In this case, you need the Clear key, to be able to drag the button following under this clear"" key. In this way, the user cannot click the next button during the quiz, because it is covered. During the review, the "Clear" button disappears automatically and the next button appears.

Apparently the white theme was messed up, because the button is gone. Themes that you work with are in a file copied to the assets\Layouts of public documents\Adobe\eLearning. You will probably see that the date on the White.cptm has been changed. You can restore the original theme to the original Layouts folder that you find in the Captivate under the Gallery installation folder. • Captivate 4 - linking to Quiz review slides

    Hello world

Thank you all for your expertise and time that you take to share.

I have two issues with the quiz of reviews on some of my module.  I, literally, spent around 5 hours looking for answers.  My boss will be Livid if I have nothing to show for it.

    Question #1

    (1) after my user passes the test, we want to examine their responses.

    (2) * to review *, if they got a wrong answer we want that they click on a link between the blade and the part of the slide deck that has talked about this.

Everything I have read/tried - I don't see a way to put such information on the slide without showing to/on the original quiz.

    What I want to do?

    Question #2

During the revisions quiz part-there is no browse button.  I read in another post that this is due to not having the buttons 'next' or 'Skip' but my Client does not want one of those on the slide.  We had to push back just to keep the back on the movie skin button.

During the revision Quiz part, how can we sail (before, at least)?

    Thanks again!

Question # 1: You can get around this via advanced Actions and using the static button widget that comes with Captivate 5.  But it will greatly increase the complexity of your project.  If you want to go this route, here's how it's done:

    • You must create a user Variable to track the Correct/Incorrect State of each question on the questionnaire.  Call them Question1Status, Question2Status, etc. these variables must be paid by actions on the success and failure of each Quiz Question slide.  Each will have at least three possible values: NotAnswered, Correct, Incorrect
    • You cannot add a normal Captivate to a slide of questionnaire button because the interactive objects are not allowed.  But you can add the static button of the Captivate Gallery widget and that widget can be defined to point to any slide.  Add one of these widgets to each quiz question slide and set it to go to the relevant slide in the main content that provides the information tested by the quiz question.  Set this button widget to be hidden by unchecking the box Visible.  It will be shown by the tip then described Action.
    • You will also need to have a conditional Action advanced for each question that is used on slide enter to check the value of the first variable mentioned above.  The fast Action will do something like this: If Question1Status is Incorrect, show widget button X.  (Each widget button will have a name of the element.)  This will allow your users to click on the button widget and directly access relevant content if they don't have this issue.  The widget button does not appear if they went from the question.

Question #2: If your customer does not want back or buttons depending on the main slide area during the review, the only way your user will be able to navigate is via the buttons back and forward of the PlayBar.  If your customer wants to remove those as well, the learner have no means to navigate other than TOC buttons.  The PlayBar buttons would be my vote.

I actually use a couple of widgets to help navigation in view of quiz.  I have a widget which hides the next (Skip) button during the test and another that hides the buttons Clear and submit during a Quiz.  These widgets have been created by Vikram, one of the Adobe Captivate development team.

  • Quiz results slide... No button continue

    Captivate v5.5

(Not sure if relevant, but the project below was created in v4 and opened by v5.5 and is now a v5.5 project.)

At the end of a quiz, I have a v4 and the quiz results page, I got a 'Continue' button on the quiz results page to allow to the learner advance to the next slide.

Now in version 5.5 I see the continue button on the slide on the film strip - but it does not appear in the timeline!

More when I run the project - there is no continue on the slide button full!

Can anyone offer help as to what is the cause so I can let my learners to spend after vieweing their score?

    Noel

    Noel,.

Just pulled up Cp4 because you made me doubt: has the same feature, button continue (and the other buttons on the slide in question/score) were not visible on the Timeline in 4 either. So I'm really stumped.

Normally this button must also exist in CP5.5, it executes the actions you specify in Quiz preferences (success or failure according to..)

You can see that the default action is to continue.  But this slide of score is perhaps the last slide in your project? You can check that?

  • Is it possible to disable the navigation of the bar (next button) until a user navigation complete and action on a slide?

I do not want to build a custom user interface.

No, all the buttons on the playback bar are "black/white", if you show them that they are always available. And also if you have the progress bar, the user can just quickly rub by a large number of slides.

Custom navigation is not so hard at all, with buttons of form that can be put on the master slide or timed for the rest of the project.

  • How can I stop after a slide and require a next button to continue?

In collaboration with CP5 for Mac. I have therefore about five slides with a voiceover narration. I can't understand how to make the whole show stops when a slide is over and require the user to press the button forward to start at the next slide. I am using the PlayBar Captivate provides, which I tweaked in the skin Editor (changed colors for most). Looks like it should be easy, but miss me where this setting is. I clicked on the slide in the timeline panel and then in the Actions pane, I chose "No Action" on the output. It has been previously set to 'Go to the next slide.'

I hope I don't need personalized for this...

    Thanks for the tips!

Captivate the default behavior is to read the content as if it were a movie.  If you want to stop, you need to force it to do by clicking on the button pause on the playback bar, or you can set to stop at some point by adding an interactive object such as a click box or the key to the chronology of Captivate and dragging the point of break for this object.  Then, when the user clicks on the button or box, the break is released and the film will continue to play.  The great thing about all this is that you can also define actions to perform when the user clicks the interactive objects.  So instead of just continue reading, you can also opt to go directly to a totally different slide if you want.

It might take a bit of getting used to, but once you understand how Captivate works, it is really very powerful and provides a lot of creative scope.

  • "Back" button appears in Quiz review

    Hello

I have a section quiz at the end of my course with three questions. When the user passes through them, it works very well.

When, however, the end user decides to "Revise" the quiz, he or she is taken to the first question of the quiz. Also, it works as expected.

However, this first slide review (question 1), the 'Back' button appears, and no other button, which was previously available on the quiz slides, is available.

A reflection as to why this is?

    Thank you!

The only reason I can think of, is that you messed up with the objects on slides of quiz/partition. Those are the objects/buttons that do not have a separate timeline in the slide, or model of slides. This is the case for the four buttons. The only way to get rid of those (is not possible for the button send, but that one disappears during the review), is using the checkbox in the properties (for Clear, Next) or the setting in Quiz preferences (for the back). If you want to that review, do not keep the next button, though it doubles Skip during Quiz. If you don't want to allow the Skip function, drag the next button under the Clear button (keep this one) and as Clear also disappears during the exam, the next button becomes automatically visible.

    Why is it?

I'm new in adobe captivate, but I didn't know good tutorial to solve the problem?

for your better understanding, I give you the link: http://graphicscoder.org/test/quiz/

    I am using captivate 8

It seems that you don't know how the question slides are set in Captivate. The next button has a dual functionality: during the quiz, it's a Skip button, which means no results at all. It is necessary during the review to avoid blocking of the user on question slides. If you don't provide a review of the quiz, you can get rid of the next key completely. If you provide a review, drag the next under the Clear button button (can be done on the master quiz slides). This way it won't be visible during quiz, but becomes visible during examination where the Clear key is automatically deleted.

This changed in Captivate 9, but you're still on 8.

The submission process is a two-step process. If you want to learn more about the design of quizzes, take a look at my post:

  • Hide the next button in the quiz until you click Submit

How can I do this? I don't want the learner to be able to click Next until what they have clicked on submit the final quiz. For various reasons, I can't put the quiz affecting Answer All, the main reason being there are formative earlier in the draft questions they should be able to jump to our table of contents to work. So, I just need an action that hides or disables the next button until that question has been submitted.

You don't need the button next in the Quiz, we mean that there is a "Skip" button. If you don't want to blow up, but you need it for later review, just under the Clear key.

  • Why 7 Captivate has such a long delay advancing between quiz slides?

I have a level quiz put in place with 6 questions in choice, T/F and multiple access point. Each question is configured to access a slide of remediation if the learner answers incorrectly. Other that that, there is nothing unusual in my quiz put in place, and I did similar to 6 quizes. However, in Captivate 7, there is a long pause between slides after the learner has sent the correct answer and click Next, and animated to hotspot question selection gears remain displayed as long as the slide to the next slide transitions. How can I speed up the next button? It is confused by sanitation branching in Captivate 7 due to a change in the coding?

Why don't you use the next button on the Quiz slides? I will always hide under the clear button.

Keep the default time for the Quiz slides, 3 seconds? The interruption occurs then at 1.5secs. You can move the suspension closer point at the end of the slide to reduce that second part, but this is only possible in the timeline by dragging them.

  • 6. area of review on Captivate quiz slides

    Hello

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the control on each quiz slide area?

    Thank you

You can delete the control area on all the slides in quiz via the parameter under Quiz > settings > Allw user to review Quiz.  This is also where you can uncheck the option to show the Score at the end of the Quiz to remove Quiz results slide.

  • Quiz results slide - NaN errors in published Captivate 8 content

    Hello

I worked on a number of modules with different content in each, which have a short quiz at the end. All except a beautiful work and the quiz results slide displayed correctly the 'score' and 'max' accordingly.

However, I have a module with an erroneous result reported "0" out of "NaN" and I don't know why it appeared suddenly?

I have been a model for these modules (even if it is true that it has been outsourced - they should always use the same model)

I don't see any obvious difference in the parameters or results between this slide and the other modules - so I'm stuck!

I was wondering if something had gone wrong with the slide therefore results as a test, I copied all the slides except the quiz in a separate model that has worked very well, and then updated the quiz and slides re-edited, still had the same error. This leads me to suspect the content slides are part of the problem. There are some real questions in the content slides / false, which are defined as a "pre-test" type - could these affect something?

I am using Captivate 8.0.3.290 and I checked the result published scorm cloud and our Moodle LMS - same erroneous result.

    I hope someone can help?

    Thank you

    Jon

It is difficult to know what is the problem with this model. I highly doubt that the presence of pre-test slides is the cause. It is perfectly possible to have a pre-test and a Final Quiz in a project. To exclude this possibility: try to create a small project with a test question and a real Question slide, using this same model.  Follow the system variable. What is the result?

You know if this model was created initially to CP8 or is this a version update of a model?

I never delete the review area, although it is used in two circumstances:

    1. For the message of pass/fail on the Score slide
    2. When a question has been ignored (I always feel that issues are considered to be ignored).
  • Quiz review stucks to first slide

    Hello

    Captivate in 6.0

I created a quiz of 10 random question based on a pool of 20 questions.

When I failed quiz it is possible to look at the quiz, if I do, only the firs issue appears, I can't go to the other.

Thanks for your help and your expertise.

    Kind regards

    Vincent

    Vincent,

You may remove the following button? You need this button during the review. If you don't like it is visible during the test itself, it is possible to slide under the Clear key. The clear key is normally higher in the stack, but if you really deleted the next button, you may have to remove the light and add it again to restore the normal priority.
