    Problem installing Windows

I TurboCAD Pro 14.2 and I was forced to get a new key of Activation of IMSI, as I have lost the original.  After with the new key of Activation Windows Installer contains TurboCAD for about half an hour before I give myself the opportunity to cancel the installation program or continue with it.  Only when I opt to cancel TurboCAD works.  I tried to run Microsoft Fix - it, which tells me that there is nothing wrong with what on the system, and I tried to remove and reinstall the program does not.  Also, I spent about two weeks of work, by electronic mail, with the team of the IMSI and beyond them telling me to use a utility windows install cleanup which no longer exists, nothing materialized.  I am running Windows XP SP 3; can someone help me with this? All constructive comments will be appreciated: thank you.

For all those who have offered suggestions that I found the answer.  It seems that the whole problem is the consequence of a file named SetPdb14Pro.  I found the file among those on my Add/Remove panel.  Once I removed it the package worked without a hitch and it did not return because I now use my original password installation discs and activation code.  Here is a month lost because I don't watch carefully before I made a leap.

  • Installation of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on PC Windows 10 - Patch problem

    Hello

A quick check of my Adobe account reveals that I purchased Abobe Acrobat IX (9) Pro in 2010, and then either purchased or upgraded to XI (11) Pro level in 2013.  These were installed on a PC running Windows 7.  I recently bought a PC running Windows 10 / 64-bit and want to reinstall Pro XI.  I did a fresh download of the installer Pro XI.  However, when I tried to install it, I get an error message saying "this patch package could not be opened.  Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package. "Can someone help me solve this?  Some things to note:

    • I'm not sure if the XI (11) Pro in 2013 was a completely new software package or just an upgrade of the IX (9) Pro software.  If the latter, I should install IX (9) first Pro?
    • I am currently using the Microsoft Edge browser that comes with the PC running Windows 10.  I don't know if it meets the conditions for the installation of XI (11) Pro https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/system-requirements-acrobat-family-products.html.

    Thank you

Unfortunately, it did not work.  I opted for a subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC which has installed without any problem and seems to work correctly.

I saw a suggestion in another forum that said to remove drivers Virgin Mobile via Add/Remove programs.
Then, remove the Novatel directory in Program Files. They claimed that remove the directory was the key.

Then add the drivers of Windows XP to return to the large map Strip MC760.

I try to install and run Windows 8 on my Macbook Pro 15 "retina end 2011 with OS 10.10.5."

I read a ton of forums, and they say all get a Windows 8 ISO from Microsoft Web site. I did it.

Then, they say get a Virgin USB key and plug it in. I did, and I put the ISO on my USB external drive.

Then he said: open Boot Camp Assistant, what I do, but then it does not match what say all forums. When I open the Boot Camp Assistant, he goes to the Introduction page. I click CONTINUE and the next page says SELECT TASKS. The only two available tasks are to "Download the latest software from Apple support" or "install Windows 7 or later.

I select both, it asks me to select my destination drive, what I do, then click "CONTINUE".

  • Windows Installer error saying that my drive's mbr, although it is really TPG.

    Hello

I really hope you can help me with my problem.

I have a retina of Macbook pro mid 2012 with a 256 GB ssd, installed with El captain.

I am train via boot camp to make a partition with Windows 10.

Windows setup via a San Disk 16 GB USB 3.0 purchased for this purpose.

Everything going smoothly until the part where you install windows.

Boot camp every reboot my Mac it comes up with a black screen saying "Non system disk. Press any key to restart '.

No matter what button I press it is not restart. I found myself pressing the power button until it stop. Then put it on again and pressing the ALT key.

Here I have two options Macintosh HD or EFI boot. I choose to start EFI. Windows Installer starts.

During the windows setup process where you choose which partition you want to install top says (after that I formatted to ntfs):

(translated from Danish) "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the MBR. In EFI systems windows can be installed only on GPT disks.

Funny, it's just that my ssd is TPG. My USB drive is as well, I tried formatting with my mac, a computer windows and Rufus. All said that it is the TPG.

I tried to format my USB drive and partition my ssd using only the discutility and not the boot camp program. Same result.

I tried to make the unallocated space on my ssd so that install Windows could make the partition it self (I read this discussion in here) does not work either.

I tried with gdisk and the terminal to do what was suggested in another threat here, but the terminal told me that the partitions were on top of the other or something like that. And who were my technical abilities and courage run out. I would ruin not rather my precious Mac and terminal gave a few warnings.

Can someone help me? I would be very grateful.

You have a few different questions.

    1. your drive is a GPT with a hybrid MBR disk. Check the output of the following command in Terminal

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

    2. If you choose to boot from USB EFI and BCA creates a hybrid MBR, you will get the error you describe.

    3. your USB drive isn't supposed to be TPG, it takes a FAT/MBR.

    4. When you press the button works / stop, the partial installation of Windows will appear when you use the Alt key. Information Windows startup is now resident on the Mac's EFI partition, but it is not complete yet. Your icon USB EFI will restart Windows Setup.

    5. do you have a Time Machine backup of Mac OS X?

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

    Hello

I want opgrade Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) to Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) with a clean install.

I am aware that I have to choose the UEFI mode in the start menu, but do I

enable/disable in the BIOS before I boot the installation DVD?

    Concerning

    Knud Erik

    Hello sfinksen ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about upgrading your PC to Win10 and wanted to help.

First of all, you do not ask UEFI install Win10 Pro 64-bit.  I installed on a desktop computer using BIOS and MBR and it works very well.  You're not even sure that a Mini-PC offers the possibility of UEFI?

Then, personally, I recommend the update.  The problem, that you are facing is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific material found in laptops - and unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 laptop driver.  HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

To further complicate things, the GoBack to Win10 function has been proven to be unreliable, so when people are trying to return to an earlier OS when it does not work, cannot leave the machine in a damaged condition, such as only a full factory reset HP recovery support it will get back to a working condition , and not only you have to buy only media, you end up losing all your data, settings, and applications in the process.

However, you can protect yourself from this kind of problems if, BEFORE you do that, you consider using a third-party application Imaging/restoration as Macrium Reflect to image your machine off, so you can easily restore it if something does not work.  And don't count on the Win10 GoBack function back on Win7, it is not reliable and can leave your computer in a damaged state.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

I use all the time and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to make the backup of the image and at the same time or less do a restore.  In addition, MR has the ability to add a recovery Boot Menu entry.  This then allows you to boot into Windows re, and then you can use it to do a restore - when you cannot start Windows!

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

In addition, a clean install of Win10 lights only in the following circumstances:

    1) using build 10240 (RTM), an upgrade in previous place was done and confirmed have activated.

    (2) using the updated 10586 (November), a valid before the OS product key has been entered.

So, if you have decided to do a clean install, you'd better using the MS Media (MCT) tool: Windows Installer by using the tool of creation of media - 10 Windows help

With this tool, you have the option of (1) creation of installation of Win10 (USB or DVD) media, (2) download an ISO file, (3) update the PC directly.  If all you want to do is updated on this PC, then choose the option: upgrade this PC now.  This tool automatically selects the generation 10586 - giving you the opportunity to enter a product key to activate it.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • associate the Windows Installer Windows XP .msp files

    Hello

I need to execute a file .msp (patch for a software) that would be associated with Windows Installer under Win7, but don't natively is not with Windows XP.  If I right click on the file and select 'Open with', the Windows Installer does not appear in the list.  If I browse and try to locate the Windows installation program, I don't know (I did several searches but not prevail).

    Hello

If I remember what I did was to remove the association for PaintShop Pro .msp files should open up PaintShop and then click on file > Preferences > file associations, and then DESELECT .msp format.

To make this work on Win7, you may need to start PaintShop with administrator rights (rather than simply clicking on the shortcut, right-click and select "Run as Administrator" for PaintShop now has the right to change the registry.

If you succeed, then the .msp file will be more associated with PaintShop Pro and should show as a no associated file.  Then, pair it with Windows Installer patch as I mentioned.  When you have finished installing the patch, you may want to reassociate for PaintShop .msp files, if you have graphics files with this extension.

    I hope this works.

  • How can I empty the Windows installation on my hard drive?

How can I empty the Windows installation on my hard drive, please?  I was going to re - install, then I changed my mind.
Now, every time that I reboot, instead of launching Windows XP Pro, it try to run Windows installation.  The installation program appears as a second menu item under "Windows XP Pro" on the black screen at launch.

How can I remove it from the startup screen and flush it out of my system?

    Any correction, automated for this?

    Thank you.

It is difficult to determine what you did, but the symptoms you describe can be eliminated by editing the boot.ini file (you can also make things really difficult if you make a mistake when you edit the boot.ini file, so be careful).  Will not be "flush out the Windows installation" of your system, but it will stop the menu from appearing at startup time.

    See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022

Your boot.ini file probably has a second line in the [operating systems] section.  Make sure that you delete only the line that points to the installation routine.
