  As GuruAid says, if you touch and hold a tile of more than a second, a taskbar rises from the bottom with the options for PIN to start, PIN to the taskbar task and uninstall.

  This does not work for any application of tile, or only programs that you are wanting to get rid of?

  If only some apps, who are they?

Then, after a year or two, I decided to reset the device in an attempt to stop the crashes and bugs. But when I went to settimgs and pressed updates and recovery, it shows nothing.   Have you tried to start Recovery? Press the power button / stop and the Volume button simultaneously for a few seconds until that screen boot options is displayed. Choose F11 for the recovery section, then follow the prompts.

  If for any reason, the recovery is corrupt and does not yet, you'll have to contact HP support directly for the recovery media. Water courses are loaded with Windows 8.1 with Bing and such, Microsoft does not have a download of this version.

  Alternatively, if Windows 8.1 runs always, you might consider upgrading to Windows 10 via the tool for creating Microsoft Windows 10 media loaded on your desktop. You will need at least 12 GB or more free space on drive c..

  Once it has installed and activated, you can opt to do a clean install with Win10 again at any time after.

  I have a 7 hp flow Tablet I bought a few months ago. The other day, I was prompted to install windows 10 and I chose to do. It seemed to install fine, but after a reboot, nothing happens. I have a black screen and can't seem to get back on. I tried to recharge but do not see the light on the charger. I tried to restart it now the volume key down and pressing the power button. Still nothing happens. No indication that his life or do anything. I would appreciate help with this.

• problem with directx on stream hp 8

  Hello, I have a 8 Hp flow Tablet and I wanted to play old games. I know that I would not be able to play resource intensive games like Skyrim on a Tablet, but I wanted to play games like heretic or wolfenstein 3d, which made for very old machines which had way fewer features than my tablet. These games require a BACK emulator called DOSBOX to emulate the old machine.

  When dosbox starts, it immediately closes and displays a message saying 'could not initialize DirectInput. I also have the message of the emulator zsnes super Nintendo Games.

  I checked the dxDiag program and I have Directx 11 is installed.

  Is there something that I am missing? Or the Tablet is not compatible with DirectX?

  There is a patch for dosbox, which makes it suitable for tablets without having to connect a mouse:

  I guess now that dosbox works, I should try to use the version of zsnes BACK instead of windows with Dosbox and see how that comes out (the patch is only for dosbox, I have not found one for zsnes).

• HP Jet 7 Tablet 5709: 7 HP flow will not reset recover

  I went to reset the tablet to factory deleting all my files, etc. The Tablet has a 32 GB card in addition to the main unit.

  During the recovery process, a message appeared that the reset was able to complete. A Cancel button was presented to that I pushed.

  When I went to restart the Tablet, came the HP logo but nothing else. I stop and reloaded several times. The Tablet is now a brick...

  I then connected the tablet to my PC. 10 Windows PC does not recognize the tablet.

  What can I do to at least restore to factory settings?

  You can order a USB at HP recovery or do a new install of Windows 10 using the downloadable installation of Microsoft image, instructions are here.

  If you have connected the charging cable into the PC's USB port, the PC does not recognize the tablet of flow, it's normal.

• HP Jet 8: HP flow 8 tablets. The screen is not responding after dong a reset.

  I'm trying to recover a Tablet HP flow 8 because the latest version of Windows 10 locked up the tablet.  The problem I have is when I start the Tablet either by using the power button or reset the sequence (the volume down and power on), I get a message «has requested a change of the TPM on this computer configuration...» "with a Yes or no option to proceed.  The question is when I press the screen to answer 'yes' or ' ' nothing - happens the screen is inadmissible.  I have attached a keyboard and mouse to the Tablet hoping I would be able to complete this option, but nothing happens.  I have attached a CD-ROM with a 8.1 to windows boot disk and nothing happens.  Basically, I'm stuck with the brick.

  Any suggestions or help would be greately appreciated.

  Hello, you use an OTG adapter and a USB hub powered to fix the keyboard and the mouse, and it still does not accept your entry?  You could try just the adapter of the OTG and the only keyboard.  Otherwise, try to turn on while raising both the volume and volume keys together to reset the BIOS.  If this does not work, try to leave completely discharged battery to reset the CMOS.

• [HP JET 7] Macrium key bootable usb omitting 7 flow HP Tablet boot

  7 HP flow is connected via an otg cable to a 4 port non powered usb hub.  The hub contains a keyboard, mouse, and usb key.

  The recovery media is through the Macrium Reflect (that is installed on the HP Jet 7 Tablet) on a usb key.  Media is created correctly because it has been tested in another machine and it starts successfully.

  I entered the start menu of the HP 7 flow by holding down the volume key and power when starting.  In the start menu, I changed the boot order so that usb sticks/multi-utilisations are the first options in the boot order.  Secure boot has also been disabled.

  Within Windows 8.1 with Bing, I used the following to restart the Tablet and tried to boot the usb key:

  charm of settings-> change advanced pc-> update and Recovery-> startup-> restore settings
  New screen with "choose an option.
  Choose "use a device.
  EFI USB device

  On reboot, I get the error message: failure of selected boot device

  I want to make sure that the boot with a usb key works as Macrium backup is useless unless I can actually start the system up to the restoration of the image.

  Any suggestions?

  The issue is not with the software that I use.  The problem is with the tablet itself.   What is so difficult to grasp here?  As usual, I understand the question myself.

  I love how everything is never the question with the hardware itself, but ALWAYS something else.  I have been more than sufficient depth with my explanation, but the same lame attempts at a solution are presented over and over again.

  I recently bought a Tablet HP 8 5901 flow.  She has Windows 8.1 on it.  I would like to install on it's free anti-virus software, but there are so many 'out there' that I don't know which one is better for this model of HP Tablet.  Therefore, I'm looking for a recommendation about which one would be a good choice for this tablet.

  Since all of your content is cloud-based storage, a separate anti-virus product is not really necessary. 8.1 Windows built in Windows Defender.

  I'm hoping to buy a tablet in data flow when it will be available in the United Kingdom later this year. I appreciate it will come with 1-year subscription to Office 365 Personal. However, I already have a subscription to Office 365 family where I allowed 5 PCs and 5 tablets. I've exhausted all 5 of PC devices but only 2 tablets (iPad). Does anyone know if the tablet of flow would be considered as a tablet or a PC. If she is considered to be a PC I have no devices left on my subscription to support. However if it is considered to be a Tablet, then I would be able to use it on my subscription.

  I understand that you have questions about the license for your MS Office 365 for the Tablet HP Stream.

  To be honest I can't answer this question that HP does not control the license to a Microsoft product in some way. I personally cela a Tablet, not a PC but it's to Microsoft how you determine the difference between PC and tablet. They can be based on the operating system or simply by the title of feature.

  I would say to contact Microsoft directly, because they will be able to answer your question correctly: Office 365 Virtual Agent (Contact Support).

• HP Jet 7: Flow HP 7 tablet update to Windows 10 locked in the start cycle

  Use the media for Win10 32 bit tool and try again 10.

  Its free to download. If you already have your PC set updated to 10, then its free to reinstall.

  Download on another computer and create the USB support.

  It works on my Tablet 8 Stream. I think it was just a fluke and it will work for you.

  No need to get media 8.1 with Bing , unless you just what to have on hand.

  But if you don't want to go back, you need to get that from HP. Microsoft does not offer a download for this particular operating system.

  I need assistance with obtaining the windows tablet touchscreen back from work. After the clean install using keyboard and mouse usb its does not work. Download hp support assistant is just the download, but does not seem to stop. More than 30 minutes now on an internet connection of 8 mb. Any help with this would be appreciated.
