Window vista business 32 bit auto update not install SP1
I have Window vista business 32 bit on Sony Vaio laptop. My automatic update of the window is on, a lot of updates were installed, I can't find the SP1. I checked the updates, saw "the view update history" but can't find SP1. Basic information system shows no service pack. 'Winver' shows Version 6.0 (6000 building). All other window updates have been installed except "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express edition service pack 3 (KB955706) who is still unable to install, do not know for what reason." I guess that there is no link between the failed SQL and SP1. It is after a complete reinstall of Vista 3-4 days back.
Prior to the relocation is in that the original version, Vista SP1 was installed automatically by the Update window.
I wonder if SP1 is already installed, but is not displayed or should I download and install it manually.goyalvimal
Thank you. I was able to install SP1 and SP2 after the changes and the process you described.
Thank you very much. goyalvimal -

Windows Vista Business 32-bit external drive does not work in the administrator account
Hello, I installed Microsoft Windows Vista Business 32-bit on a Dell Precision T3400 workstation, and I have also configured the strategies of groups for Non administrators. Basically, I disabled the removable drives, 'C' and had "only for non administrators." After edit in GP, the system has been precisely set and I am able to access the Administrators account and copy stuffs from my local drive on my USB key. But a few days later, I'm not able to use my USB or other external drives in Administrator account, it shows that 'inaccessible '. But I can't access local drives 'C' or '. Then I have to redo the group policies and it will last only for 3 days. Thanks :)

Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit will not be in service
Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit will not be in service.
I read the other posts and have followed the suggestions. Windows does not start without failure, or any other option in the F8 boot options. Next step is to create a disk to repair windows, Dell did not provide a when the computer was purchased. Can work from any vista repair disc, or I need to find one suitable for my windows edition? Where are these on the Microsoft Web site?
Thank you!
Thanks for the help. Sorry for the vague information. I was finally able to diagnose memory problems. I have reset the chip memory and repaired the computer by using the option "repair your computer" F8.
Once again, thank you for the help.

Windows Vista Business still don't not patched with SP1 via auto-mises to update or manual updates
Our laptop Fujitsu is installed with Windows Vista Business. We have been used for about 1 year more, get the updates via automatic updates.
I read that Vista has up to SP2. But check the details of the system shows that no service pack has been applied. So I trigger the update via IE-> tools-> Windows Update. He said that "no important updates available.
I think that when you apply SP1, it will move from IE7 to IE8. So, we still have IE7.
Why the service pack is not available for our case?
Kind regards
BenA1. Yes.
A2. You are 'safe' for now, as long as the computer kept fully patched to Windows Update otherwise. That being said, there will come a time in the not-too-distant that a computer without SP1 installed will not offer still updates all founded. ~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft

Windows Vista Business 64 bit no network connection
I installed the 5.0.0.04 for 64-bit Cisco VPN client and it worked perfectly. I power down my machine and when I turned back the next day the network connection just stopped working. Is really weird, when I go to the network adapter I see no error or anything, nothing shows no more on the event viewer. The hardware Manager shows the network adapter works, but on the systray I see the icon of the unplugged network cable and I am unable to connect to any network, I can't get an IP address any or anything. If I go to the network adapters, I see the map connected and everything, but I can't get an IP address, it shows as not connected. I already checked with another computer and the router and the network cable work. This crazy. I have already uninstalled the Cisco VPN client, updated the NIC drivers and firmware and restarted the machine in safe mode but nothing seems to work.
I appreciate your help
Thank you

Hello
I have trouble with this and maybe someone can help you. I already tried a number of thigs, I'm still having the same problem. Any help much appreciated.
Question: Windows Update constantly looking for updates.
I already tried the following:
- Windows Update left to run for 7 hours check updates
- Microsoft it Fix tool (scanned for errors - detects the error - corrects all errors except "Recent updates installation problems")
- Count - manage - computer Management - Services - stopped Background Intelligent Transfer Services - order Windows Update - deleted items in C:/Windows/Software Distribution.
I would have reinstalled Windows Vista after I put a new drive hard in to the laptop.

Windows Vista Basic, 32 bit, does not start up-will start in safe mode
My computer fails to start. This problem came about 2 weeks ago when I rebooted after an update for McAfee Total protection requiring a reboot. But I don't know if that is why the computer not boot not correctly.
After a lot of testing to the Startup Repair and shut down the pc and start it again, it starts to open a session for users. But after that I restarted again in this State, the problem persists.
There is no error codes or messages, it just does not start. There is no virus infection (I hope). While the pc is booting, I also connected to Admin and checked if there were any problems found. But no other problem than a problem with Teredo Tunneling Pseudo - Interface. I solved this problem.
So after all these checks, I restarted again, and it will not start again.
It starts in Mode safe with no problems, and I have restored the pc a couple of times, but no use.Y at - it a fix for this?
Any help will be very appreciated!Thank you
Hello RubeenaY.
After looking on this thread. the most remarkable thing I've seen, is that we are able to boot mode safe without problem. Typically, this means that we cannot start because a driver, service, or application takes over at startup which prevents our normal operation.
I recommend you to perform a clean boot, as they did in the previous post.

I found "Teredo Tunneling pseudo-interface" which showed a yellow exclamation in device under network adapter & just below the Realtek PCIe Ethernet controller Manager & the error was that the driver does not work properly. This is why unfortunately I uninstalled the driver. now, who disappeared from the Device Manager & I can't find even after restarting the system.
so kindly advise me what is the problem if it does not fit in its original location & how to get it in the Device Manager? Please find the screen pictures of the error for your reference on skydrive https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=D98B7D8BBADFB4CF&id=D98B7D8BBADFB4CF%21105Rgds,Hello Asif,
