The IOS that you use is corrupted or incomplete.  Look at the file size.

Download the site of Cisco IOS again and compare the MD5 hash value before transferring through the router IOS.

    Best regards.

    OK, let's do this easily.

If independent IOS, this is what you want the PA to start with, the more simple (and fast) to get this race is to format the flash of the AP (command: format flash :).)

When formatting is finished, load the standalone IOS using the method of the Mode button.

  • Airplane mode / phone access

    Hello

This has been bothering me for some time now and I wanted to post to see if anyone had any ideas on that.

So now, if your phone is stolen, the person with the phone can put your phone in airplane mode without actually going into the phone, just in gestering upward and hit the airplane mode button.  Once this done, your phone is not visible and cannot be followed by find my phone.

Is there any fixes for this?  It's something that should only be allowed if your logged in the phone via your code or fingerprint recognition.

    Thank you all.

To prevent this, go to settings > control center > disable allow access to the lock screen.  -AJ

  • How can I resolve 'Incompatible IP Settings' NI Max?

Hi all, I'm using LabVIEW 2012 SP1, my hardware is a NI 3110 industrial controller, which connects to various Beckhoff EtherCAT Terminals.

I'm having a problem with 'Incompatible IP Settings' NI Max when I try to connect to my goal of RT (NOR-3110 industrial controller). I am able to connect to the target without problem, but be it via DHCP or static IP address, I keep getting 'Inconsistent IP Settings'. I downloaded a few screenshots to imgur album, you can see here. Here is a list of things I've tried (and various combinations):

1 / flipped "IP Reset" switch on the controller, reset it and put the ip of the PC to a static IP address on the same subnet.

2 / hit the 'Safe Mode' switch the Safe Mode boot target and connect.

3 / formatting of the target and reset network through MAX cards.

4 / DHCP configuration where the target has it of own IP assigned automatically and is visible on my network of the University.

To be clear, I am * not * having a problem connecting to my target, it is very easy to connect via DHCP and static IP, but I can't seem to get rid of incompatible IP settings.

I have read many topics Forum and knowledge base articles that suggest that this is usually the result of the IP address of the target and the PC is on a different subnet. However, as far as I can tell this is absolutely * not * the case. The IP address of the target is 10.158.20.8, and the host PC is 10.158.20.x (this varies) and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 for IP addresses * are * on the same subnet. I even put it in one of these subnet calculators just to be absolutely sure.

One thing that stood out to me, is when I have the controller connected to the network with DHCP on and it automatically 10.158.20.8, he has a strange subnet mask (see image 4 here), I assumed it would be 255.255.255.0 as when I do ipconfig at the command prompt. Could it be the cause of the inconsistency? If so, can I change?

Also, every time I reset the target thanks to MAX (after the change of the DHCP server to the static IP, or vice versa) MAX does not connect to it again automatically, I have to delete the target and MAX of refreshment and it records again.

The finals 2 screenshots in the imgur album (found here) are the video output of the controller (just connect a monitor with a VGA cable with an adapter). Picture 5 is what I * currently * see and the last image is a screenshot of old, what it * should * look like. In the first splash screen image, the message "error boot disk program initialization" sticks out, which indicates some kind of hardware malfunction? I don't remember when I see a message like this when I originally set up this system.

So in summary, I get 'Incompatible IP Settings' - I tried all the usual suspects, all IP addresses are on the same subnet, etc., it seems that there is some * other * problem which is at the origin of the incompatible IP settings that I can not detect. Any help is greatly appreciated, since I have this error I can't install software to the target, which means that I can not install NI-industrial Communications for EtherCAT, aka I can't do anything until I have fix this. Please let me know if there is additional information, that I can provide as well.

    All the best,

PS, I've created a report to technical support at MAX and it attached in case it is useful for your comments!

Hey thanks for your reply. The images were in an album of imgur related to the position. I tried actually all to connect to the controller, I made sure that my network card has had to function to automatically detect the crossover (apparently it is the industry standard for Gigabit Ethernet cards). I even managed to try two controllers, a colleague had a spare, and finally the problem turns out to be an incompatibility of the software. I borrowed a laptop of University Department and installed the same software I have on my original laptop and tried to connect to the controller and it worked fine, no incompatible IP settings.

From there I could say that the problem was related to the original laptop, since settings incompatible IP was not on the borrowed laptop. I actually ended up completely reinstall LabVIEW on the laptop original just in case it was somehow a facility damaged from somewhere. However, I noticed that a colleague had updated the Configuration of the system NOR to 15.0. If I remember, it is usually backward compatibility to the previous 3 versions of LabVIEW, sort of version 15 with a LabVIEW 2012 SP1 works very well. However, during this new LabVIEW installation (before I updated day NOR Sys Config 15) I checked the controller, and I connected to it fine, no errors. Then I installed the version 15 of the Sys Config and * then * got parameters incompatible IP. The better I can understand, is that it is some sort of bug in verses backward compatibility between OR System Configuration 15 on a LabVIEW 2012 SP1 install. That, or it is related to the fact that the controller I use is waaaay out of fashion and unsupported by certain aspects of our days.

Thanks for your reply anyway, I forgot to post the solution I found here, so I hope that if anyone has this problem, they can check their compatibility of versions and things like that!

  • Slide show auto refresh? PLEASE HELP, NECESSARY FOR THE EVENT!

I want to download images in a folder on my network server and have them come on the other cpu screen savers without having to hit refresh in mode slideshow screen saver. or y at - it a program that will allow me to do this? and who? How? etc.

You must share the folder of photos with write permissions so that you can copy files to it.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/304040

What about encouraging them to display on the screen saver, I don't think this is possible without him back on – you can certainly test it to see if it works for sure. If it doesn't work, you can find a different screen saver.

  • Cisco 1921 router default password invalid

    Hi all

I am facing a weird problem where after the reset of the router Cisco 1921, I am trying to connect using the default name "cisco" and the password "cisco".

and I get the error message no valid password.

I hard reset the router using the key in the back.

Can someone help me solve this error. Its frustrating when you can't even connect on a new router

    Thank you!!

Some devices are configured with the old password. If you log on to these credentials and save the configuration, the default password is cleared. If you have set a new password, you'll end up with an inaccessible area. This avoids the production of devices with the default manufacture password and being exposed.

You need to do a password recovery procedure.

    (1) connect the console to the device
    (2) turn on the device
    3) press ctrl + break until you are in rommon mode

Type confreg 0 x 2142 to the rommon 1 > fast to boot from Flash.

This step allows you to bypass the startup configuration where passwords are stored.

Type of reset to the rommon 2 > prompt.

The router restarts, but does not take into account the stored configuration.

Type no after each Setup question, or press Ctrl-C to skip the initial configuration process.

Type for the router > prompt.

You are in enable mode and should see the Router prompt #.

Because this is a new router without previous configuration is not really necessary to restore the last saved configuration. But if you'd: copy start run

WARNING: Do not enter the copy running-config startup-config or write. These commands erase your startup configuration.

    Type configure terminal.

The hostname (config) # prompt is displayed.

Type enable secret in order to change the enable secret password. For example:

    hostname (config) secret #enable YourPassword

Restore the previous value of the conf-reg:
    hostname (config) #config - register 0 x 2102

If you did a copy start run, you must also configure a new user:

    Youruser yourpassword username secret

And of course: save your configuration

  • Help to install a new OS on Cisco router

    Hey all,.

I recently inherited a Cisco 2620 router, which seems to have been completely flashed/corrupted (see output below), because it can only boot into rommon mode and the "dir" command that all return "bad device name" or a file name of nonsense like "y". Baud unemployment has been altered to 112500 while the tests, normal settings are 9600

Q1) Firstly, I correctly interpret this output?

My plan is to revive this router with a new IOS ' c2691-adventerprisek9 - mz.124 - 25c.bin "which seem to be taken in charge by the 2600 series.

    However, I do not have:

    a TFTP server

a USB port on the router

access to the internet (on the 2620)

    I have:

    The file ' c2691-adventerprisek9 - mz.124 - 25c.bin "on my desktop (Windows 7 PC)

a connection of the 2620 by using a serial USB RS232 adapter console

NETGEAR N900 connected to an Ethernet home with a free Ethernet port

Looking at the above, my conclusion was to use the xmodem command and manually transfer "c2691-adventerprisek9 - mz.124 - 25c.bin" in the directory 'flash' via the serial cable.

Q2) is xmodem it the best way to revive this router with my resources?

Finally assuming xmodem is the way to go, I have reviewed the following guide:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/2600-series-multiservice-platforms/15085-Xmodem-generic.html

(Q3) is it possible to complete step "3") in the guide above without using hyperterminal (for example using mastic instead)?

Thanks a lot for your help

    James

    Hello

You said that you do not have a TFTP server, but you have a computer connected to the Internet.

I would say to download on your computer (free) tftpd32 because the transfer an IOS via TFTP will be faster than xmodem.

If you need assistance for IOS via TFTP transfer when in ROMMON, you can consult the documentation of Cisco here: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/2600-series-multiservi....

One you download tftp tool and IOS, you can connect the router through copper directly to your switch directly on your computer.

If you really want to go with xmodem, I use teraterm program to do all the stuff.

    Thank you. Hope this helps

  • Problems to start a 3750 X-24 p-S

    I've recently updated firmware in a Cisco C3750X-24 p-S: replaced c3750e-universalk9 - mz.122 - 55.SE3.bin with a c3750e-universalk9 - mz.152 - 1.E.bin.

Once the switch has been reloaded, there was the following in the console error message:

'Flash:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.152-1.E.bin' file, unzipped and installed, point of entry: 0 x 3000

    execution of...

    Boot process failed...

The system is unable to boot automatically. The envirmnment INITIALIZATION variable need to be set on a bootable image.

    switch:

Command Show boot confirmed that the switch had a boot appropriate pointing to an existing firmware file configuration.

Suspecting that the new firmware file was damaged, I decided to copy it again. Unfortunatelly the network is not uvailable even after setting all vatiables environment as IP_ADDR etc. When an active device was connected to the ports, there is no light on the same network ports. I decided to copy the firmware via XModem - 1 K. Unfortunately, the process has failed (the switch has been operated and when). Now, the switch would not start at all. I tried the following procedure to enter ROMMON:

    Unplug the power cord.

Hold the MODE button while you reconnect the power cable from the switch.

The MODE button is on the left side of the front panel.

Release the MODE button after the LED above Port 1 x turns off.

Note: The LED position can vary slightly, depending on the model.

You are now on the switch: command prompt.

However Port1 nor any other port comes on or off during the power on procedure: all network ports are empty all the time. Immediately after powing on the switch, SYSTEM light starts flashing green/Orange for about 20 seconds, then turns off for half a second and then starts flashing with green alone indefinitely. As he "boots", some random characters appear in the console. Is it possible to boot into ROMMON mode now?

You may need to check that someone else has not set speed console X 3750 to some other settings.

If you have checked all the settings and you can't do anything, then RMA unit.  You should still be able to get coverage out of it.

This message means that the AP is in Rommon mode, and he needs to start with the IOS to work properly. In rommon mode you can check variables initialization to next recharge and try reloading the AP. For example, the set command will tell you the next boot image, you must ensure that this underlines the IOS of AP 2700.

    AP: the value

    Boot=Flash:/C1140-k9w7-tar.124-21A.JY

You can manually set all initialization variables as above, IOS ip address, gateway, and you can also push new IOS image after download of EAC, if it is not an image valid. See the link below to learn more:

    Hello

I have a question with our switch main catalyst 4507. a couple of months I had this experience that I can't access my password in my catalyst 4507. i have a password management document. After trying my password assigned for many times that he has been unsuccessful. When I tried using the other reference cisco password, I was able to connect using the password "cisco". for security reasons change us password from time to time, but by regular coins. Just this day, yet once I can't access my password for this device only I also try password by default but not able to connect. My question is, how did this happen? How can I access the configuration of my catalyst 4507 without interruption of service of causes in my network connection. don't forget it's my coreswitch and we are 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Help, please! forward the responses received.

    Thank you and best regards.

    Pete

    Hi Pete,.

I fear that you will not be able to recover the password without using the ROMmon mode, for which you will need to power cycle the unit which in turn causes a network failure. You will need to make arrangements for a window of maintainace and recover the password.

I mentioned below the link that gives you the procedure step by step for password recovery:
