907 invalid COD

I am trying to install an application on the blacberry 8900 but I end up getting "907 invalid COD". I scoured the causes common to http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800708/800646/Support... but none of them don't apply to me

1. built using Netbeans which automatically updates all the attributes. Signed using a verisign code signing certificate.

2A got the COD file that was signed using the Blackberry signature tool button.

3 final file size of cod is 686 KB. There are 10 other files inside this parent COD cod.

4 added the parent COD (686 KB) to the web server

5. download the file by pointing Blackberry 8900 to the jad (I double/triple/quadraple verified I downloaded good jad)

6. the jad download properly on the phone. Then I show a dialog by phone asking me to download the 686 K file. I click on the Download"" button.

7. the blackberry handheld and then stop to think a bit... did something... I don't know what. Does not even start the progress bar indicator (However, I see a call to the Web server asking the parent jad only. No child COD file no is required app server logs).

8. it is not any problem with the Web server mime types go because the Web server can serve other COD files to other phones (8330 for example) without problem.

9. I do NOT use WAP browser to download. I use the regular BB browser.

10. I also tried side loading via the USB cable. But I get the same error... However, with the sideloading, I get a little more information. Whereas the OTA just says "907 invalid COD". If I store the COD and jad on the SD card and try to load it from there, I get "907 invalid cod unable to import zip file. It was weird.

11. then I try to unzip the parent COD, to take all 10 children COD files and put the 10 files with the file jad on the SD card. Then I try to install from SD card. Now I get "do not find the file 907 invalid cod.

I'm confused as to what may cause this problem. What we can do to move apart from this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Everyone knows about similar problems? Is the size of the file, is the carrier, it is the phone, it's the browser... I'm lost.

I was able to understand the reason. Have absolute URLS for RIM-COD-URL-xx instead of parent URLs seem to have solved the problem. For some reason any with the relative URL was causing a problem.

  • Get error "Failed to Downlaod 907 invalid COD file not found"

    Hello

    So I created an app for Blackberry and it works 100% in the Simulator... But when I try to copy the application on my physical device and install it using the .jad file, I get the error 'failure of Downlaod 907 invalid COD file not found' every time that... It won't install. But when I use the Blackberry "Rock FIle Manager" app and use its functionality of COD Installer application installs fine... Also, when I use the 'Create-A-JAD' program to create a .jad file from the file and then .cod file replace the build with the Create-A-JAD a .jad file and then install the app, it works...

    I used the software 6 SDK and my physical device is a Blackberry 9300 which is runnin OS6. My application is signed... Here is a link to an image that demonstrates that the app is signed... http://www.freeimagehosting.NET/ytoge

    What could be the problem so that it does not install it?

    Thank you very much!

    you could try to unpack cod (its actually a zip file that contains the subsidiary COD), maybe it helps.

  • 907 invalid cod exceeded the limit of the number of OS 5 bytes

    Hello

    I do face-down issue with jad installation from a Web server. I put all my files of cod with a jad file in our weserver. and appealed to the jad file. After a few seconds, the message as below. The same thing works with phone OS 6 version, but not with the OS 5

    Thank you

    If you are testing on simulators on the same PC running the same MDS Simulator, the article on connection limits may apply.

    Sorry beat me to it, I've never had the OS 5.0 browser throw up his hands on a download I created it, that the OS 6.0 browser was fine with.  The size of your files is not huge.

    If you really want to count the MDS Simulator out run, start the WiFi on the 5.0 OS simulator (manage connections--> set up the Wi - Fi network, you follow the nose, and then start the WiFi on the device), then change the configuration of the default browser (--> Advanced--> browser Options) in the Hotspot browser.  Stop the MDS Simulator and see if you can still browse.  Then, try the download again.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not update AppWorld 907 invalid COD

    Hi guys. I bought my Torch 9800 (v6.0.0.570) in 2011 and so far the problem is still not resolved. Everytime I open the AppWorld

    -A message appears: "To continue to use Blackberry App World, you must upgrade your current version."

    - Then I download the update.

    Whenever the 99% achieved download bar, suddenly a message appears "907 invalid COD".

    I can't even delete my BB AppWorld. There is no option "Delete" in "Application Management" or "Modules".

    Hi Firdaus92

    In this case, it is advisable to upgrade the version of your operating system to the v6.0.0.756

    Search and download your OS and everything above applies

    By sdgardne

    However, here's what I propose...

    The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find complete instructions via the link in my sig auto below. (It's probably debatable given the errors you have... it is likely that your data are already parts of your device, which means that you must now rely on a backup you took before that happened.)

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • http://us.BlackBerry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

    6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

    If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

    You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

    You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

    When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

    If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

    If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

    You may also use these tips:

    If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    Hi Mark,

    I found the nature of the error, there is no generation question not related, there is someproblem to the server, in which I write, so it's been the question, if I can access the build even after some time, it has installed successfully.

Sometimes, the error immediately, sometimes after almost finished, thanks for any info or advice.

    To remove a possible cause of this error, remove your app from the target phone before installing.

    There is usually a button detail associated with this error - what does say?

    We their normally just bundle the application as a file included.  You can add them to the project as a file in the jde will right clicking the project and selecting Add the file to the project.  If you use alternative building method, you can do so by including them in your jar of entry for CAP.  You can then access their call of .getResourceAsStream (resourcePath); on any class to search for a file.  There is an article in the knowledge base on it.

    If this causes problems of size of module, you may need to create some kind of resource downloader that saves your files to disc using JSR - 175 or storage of content after downloading the application successfully.

  • CVI 2013 generate invalid code

    Hello

    CVI 2013 generates an invalid code for the function pointer.

    For example, this code works very well in 2012 CVI, but not in CVI 2013. Any idea?

    #include
    #include

    struct FunctionType
    {
        const char *name;
        void *func;
    };

    static const struct FunctionType functions[] =
    {
        { "func", GetFullPathName },
    };

    typedef DWORD (WINAPI *GetPathFunc)(LPCSTR, DWORD, LPSTR, LPSTR *);

    int main(int argc, char *argv[])
    {
        char buf[256];
        GetPathFunc f = (GetPathFunc)functions[0].func;

        if (f != GetFullPathName) {

            puts("Invalid ptr");

        } else {

            if (f(argv[0], sizeof(buf), buf, NULL) > 0) {

                puts(buf);
            }
        }

        return (0);
    }

    Hello hglee,.

    Your code looks fine. I filed the bug report #423480 to follow up the matter.

    Our new compiler important GetFullPathName of inconsistently. The main function, it refers directly to the implementation in the kernel32.dll module. In the static variable, it designates the pointer 'import' for the function (a pointer to the implementation). Interestingly, in CVI 2012 refers us to the 'import stub' in both cases (a jump through the pointer to the implementation).

    As a temporary workaround, you can manually cancel the extra level of indirection by changing a single line in your code:

       GetPathFunc f = *(GetPathFunc*)functions[0].func;

    However, it is DANGEROUS because, depending on how we decide how solve the problem, the workaround solution can become a bug itself in the future, and it may crash your program. So please keep that in mind when you change your code (for example, add a comment and a link to this post to remind you).

    Thank you

    Peter

    Hello mateo.

    The code for the printer has a delay of 24 hours, if it has not been put up the time, the code then becomes invalid, as what you see now...

    best solution is to reset Internet services on your printer and then reactivate web services - to the granting of a new code to be printed

    -that should solve the problem you are having

    Although I am an employee of HP, my views and Opinions are mine...
