Before you buy the Tablet, I had accesses files by using an older MacBook with no problems. Is it possible to access the hard disk on the Windows 8 RT Tablet without initialization (which I guess would involve having to temporarily move all data to another device and then reload on the external hard drive reset)?

  Had a similar problem with external hard drive WD also on model MBA early 2015. Found if I disconnect the external hard drive restart MBA and then reconnect the external hard drive it was working normally again.

  Another thing I tried was still unplug HD plugin MBA on sector and re - a SMC.

  I have about 4000 + photos on iPad Pro of vacation, I downloaded from a SD card using an adapter. The photos are distributed among the 15 albums or more.
