• Satellite L850-1V0 - module cooling fan runs constantly at the same volume

  I've had this laptop since the middle of February this year. I experienced a few problems I am getting concerned:

  The first is my fan, regardless of how high the percentage of my CPU temperature is that it will always show that the fan works at a speed of 0%, even though I can hear and feel running. A couple of days, it started to go louder for awhile, then «return to normal»

  Second, the fan can be heard at the same volume of work constantly and I can't seem to find a way to make it less work.

  The third problem is bit hard to explain. I am aware that you can feel the phone vibrates because of fan work when you rest your palms on it (for example by typing), sometimes it starts to vibrate more difficult but the fan does not noise, that it should when he is working harder.

  My experience says portable behavior depends very much on its use and configuration of the computer personal laptop is not easy to give good advice. To check first please cooing fan settings. You can change the fan cooling activity in Control Panel > power options > change the power plan > change advanced power settings > Toshiba saving settings > cooling method.

  Vibration? Similar problem was my brother on his P300. It is worth noting a few small vibrations but unfortunately there is nothing to do about it.   I finished a video for general guidance to new employees in the Yellowstone National Park and am close to be finished!

  I created the video in the first Elements 9 with some video footage and pictures still mixed.  (Yes, I tried to "Ken Burns" it... it laughing out loud if he saw my version!)

  I brought most to individual WAV format. clips that I've inserted into the audio editing under each video segment.

  I have about 40 audio clips, and even though I used a decent microphone, I still find that every clip has a slightly different volume that is really noticeable when the DVD-video play on TV.  I realize I should have made an effort to keep a standard distance of the mic when recording.   Hindsight is 20 - 20.

  I tried to change the volume on each clip to make them all the same volume, and it makes me a little crazy.

  Is it possible for me to grasp all the audio data at some point and make an adjustment that would make each of them the same volume?    I tried CTRL-A and then to 'normalise' on this topic, but it seemed to do very little / or no difference when viewing.

  Any advice would be really appreciated!

  I have Vista 32 bit. I know the limits of length of file name.

  In my computer, I have a USB 2.0 hard drive, called 'J '. I have a Freecom 3 TB hard which the manual says is shown as 2 partitions for compatibility issues. It appears therefore as a partition 'K' and 'L '.

  I have a lot of music on my drive J, located in several subfolders. Number of files have reached the limit on the length of file name. TeraCopy using I'm just copy everything in the root of the drive of J in the root of my partition to 'L '.

  Out of thousands of files, 445 of them were not copied. I don't know the reason, but I guess that this is due to the limits of length of filename which is strange, because if the files are already on the J drive why can't they be copied to the partition of L? It's not like I'm adding a new folder in the partition of L, then put everything in there, I put everything in the root.

  TeraCopy is a button that allows you to see why the files were not copied. However it freezes if clicked, because there are so many files - it works when much less files are copied. I guess they were not copied because of file size limits.

  Database is 10gr 2 - had a situation last night where someone changed inadvertently values of column on a couple of hundred thousand records with an incorrect value first thing in the morning and never let me know later in the day. My undo retention was not large enough to create a copy of the table as it was 7 hours comes back with a "insert in table_2 select * from table_1 to timestamp...» "query, so I restored the backup previous nights to another machine and it picked up at 07:00 (just before the hour, he made the change), created a dblink since the production database and created a copy of the table of the restored database.
  
  My first thought was to simply update the table of production with the correct values of the correct copy, using something like this:

Anyway, it was (or seem to) works, but I look at the process through OEM it was estimated 100 + hours with full table scans, so I killed him. I found myself just inserting (copy) the lines added to the production since the table copy by doing a select statement of the production table where < col_with_datestamp > is > = 07:00, truncate the table of production, then re insert the rows from now to correct the copy.

  First of all, I don't see why the update statement does not work (it's probably obvious, but I'm not)
  
  Secondly, it is the best approach for updating a column (or columns) that are incorrect, with the columns in the same table which are correct, or is there a better way?
  
  I would sooner update the table rather than delete or truncate then re insert, as it was a trigger for insert/update I had to disable it on the notice re and truncate the table unusable a demand so I was re insert.

  First of all, after post 79, you need to know how to format your code.

  Your last request reads as follows:

  This will not work for several reasons:
  The sub query allows you to define a and b and outside the breakets you can't refer to a or b.
  There is no link between the mnt.workorders_copy and the the update and the request of void.

  If you do this you should have something like this:

    mnt.workorders     A      -- THIS IS THE TABLE YOU WANT TO UPDATE
  SET

      SELECT

  Speed is not so good that you run the query to sub for each row in mnt.workorders
  Note it is condition in where. You need other wise, you will update the unchanged to null values.

  I wouold do it like this:

        ,B.comappstat           comappstat_OLD
  
      FROM

  This way you can test the subquery first and know exectly what will be updated.
  This was not a sub query that is executed for each line preformance should be better.

  Running Windows 8.1 with a 16 GB memory DDR3 on an I7 Quad Core with an SSD. All files are on the SSD.

  Currently, I'm sharing via Solaris iSCSI disks. I googled around on this problem and came across many discussions around June on a flaw in the implementation which seems to match what I see.

  I had created originally only one volume, and it worked fine. After that I created several others (using shareiscsi = on) I scanned again and saw that all targets have been found, but they all seemed to be clones of the original goal, and it wouldn't let me add as VMFS volumes.

  I tried to create a new target with multiple LUNS via iscsitadm, but it showed as having a single LUN - once again, the same clone.

  I have another target on the same server that is connected to a thin Win2008 area. He can see all the different targets for what they are.

  From what I understand, the problem concerned the GUID is the same, but I see that the GUIDS are different on all targets.

  According to all the posts I read, this problem has been resolved in the OpenSolaris some time ago, but it is perhaps still in the standard Solaris 10 kernel?

  Help would be appreciated. Thank you very much!

  I think you'll like better than Solaris, OpenSolaris, and it is supported by Sun with a contract.

  It works and it will be always every month before more recent improvements than Solaris only.
