I closed and tried to run cc cleaner as I always do, but I get the message "firefox takes too long to close would you like to force a shutdown", but the forced shutdown does not close it no more. I opened the Task Manager to try to close it from there, but firefox does not appear. I don't know what to do. I am all this typing chrome b/c I can't use the latest version of firefox. I've never had this happen before. I also ran in safe mode and it's the same thing. Please help and please answer in simple terms, because I'm not a computer expert.   Well, then I can say happily that I'm typing this on firefox yay! I managed to do work, and here's how it is for everyone who is having this problem (well at least this is the solution that finally worked for me). RESTART your computer. NOT simply stop there. It does not work (not for me at least). I rebooted the computer initially there are a few min b/c my was not analysis Norton and I wanted to analyze the new 'new installation' I had to FF. After the computer has been restarted, my norton worked. So I said Hey, maybe I'll give you my FF update 29.0.1 a last try before you install a new firefox, in the hope that maybe restart the computer would have worked. So I opened it and omg he loaded my homepage. It works! In addition, among other first problems I've come across is impossible to bookmark a site. I found the solution. Just go to the upper menu right (it has 3 horizontal lines) and right-click the little star icon that we're used to that means bookmarks. A small menu will appear. Click on "move to the toolbar", and which should put it on the top right of your browser so that you can bookmark things.   2 days ago just firefox stopped responding. When I open it, displays the splash screen, but is not possible to navigate to other web pages. All I see is "connection" and it just spins. No warnings or timeouts. I thought it was a problem with my firewall, I went and firefox manually added to the list of "permits". That did not help. I removed all applications, extensions and themes and then tried to reset... which did not help because firefox restarts just hangs and I have to use the Task Manager to end the process. I tried a forced uninstall and reinstall... nothing. At this point, nothing seems to work. Perhaps there is a simple solution, I simply don't see. For now, it is uninstalled, but I would really like to know if there is a way to fix it because firefox is my favorite browser. I'm not finding any maleware or viruses on my computer and other browsers work fine.

  I made an AVG scan last night and has 6 reports in the vault.  I restarted the computer (a laptop) and once on and the file name of the error code was displayed saying that it could not access this file.  It happens to be in the 40s.  I've restored the file (or think I did), but I'm still the error when starting.  (file: C:\Docum\~1\Jessica\LOCALS~1/Temp/DWM.exe)

  Given that this error, we can not get Firefox or IE on startup.  He said initially that it was a problem of proxy.  We changed these settings after finding this solution here.  However, the error is still showing after starting, and Firefox said it broke and we have sent a report, but says only: he connects.  Outlook Express is working and loading all the mails, so our connection is good.

I can open IE, and run it, but FF will not run the proxy cannot save the connections.  BUT, when I try to download Adobe Flash Player (I lost it in deletions I guess) it will not be installed.  Missing records hotkey (I know that a lot of people had been removed in the spyware removal.
